Unfortunately this wasn't the right book for me. The concept is good, but the start of the story was very dark and negative, and made it hard for me to connect with the author. Perhaps for some readers this strategy would work but it didn't help me get into the story and as a result I did not enjoy the book. This book is genuinely written and brining me a few heart breaking moments! The titles and subtitles, Price Tags: How losing my son (and everything else) helped me build a life worth living, explain the content of this book really well - but I did not expect the deep emotions in this book.

While it's difficult for me to understand what happened to the author after he his son, the author puts down his suffering and challenges after the loss, and it is heartbreaking to read through some part of this book. I love memoir and this one does work well for all readers!
