Cute, fast read. This story continues Faith and Gabe's storyline. In the last book, they broke up and Gabe started living with Faith's university nemesis. Faith has spent the last 6 months trying to get over Gabe, but then he calls her out of the blue and asks her to come back to the beach house and restore it to the way it was when they were together, and he assumes that also means they are back together.

Faith gives a half-hearted attempt at trying to remain friends with Gabe, but within hours of him showing up at the beach house they've fallen back into bed and she is dreaming of designing a nursery. Sigh. I don't have a lot of patience for the weak heroine trope so this grated on me. The rest of the book didn't hold a lot of my interest.

Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book, but my opinions are my own.

Starting over at the little Cornish Beach House is about an interior designer who gets her heart broken by her rockstar boyfriend and finds new love whilst renovating his home. I am really sorry but I couldn't finish this book. I hate to give a negative review, I am sure it's a great read for some, and has several positive reviews, but it's not for me. The beginning felt very abrupt - I am sure it was done for dramatic effect but it didn't give me time to care about the characters. I felt it was incredibly far fetched in lots of ways - the reunion, the way the house had been wackily redesigned by the nemesis and the level of miscommunication. I also didn't enjoy the dialogue and the way random, unlikely things were shoehorned into the story. It's probably great for people who like undemanding romance, a bit of fun, maybe a book to read on a seaside holiday, but I didn't enjoy it.

*I received a copy of this audiobook on NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for this opportunity*

In the newest installation of Nancy Barone's Cornish series, Faith is an interior designer in a tumultuous relationship with her chart-topping rockstar boyfriend. After being unceremoniously dumped, she finds herself suddenly tasked with bringing their shared beach home back into it's former glory with the help of a local joiner and her employees.

STARTING OVER AT THE LITTLE CORNISH BEACH HOUSE wasn't my favorite. The overall plot was lacking, the main driver a disastrous miscommunication trope that was pretty much brushed over at the end. I also felt like the characters were all flat-- none of them had more than one or two notes, which made the book difficult to enjoy for me.

SOATLCBH is a rom-com beach read. It will be a great pick for someone looking for a predictable, unrealistic romance that can be read quickly.

This was a cute read! The plot had a good little twist that I wasn’t expecting that I enjoyed. I will definitely check out the other Cornish Hpyse books!

Thank you @netgalley for this eARC!

I really hate to post negative reviews because I know how hard authors work. Unfortunately it was well and truly not my cup of tea. I found the main character to be annoying and mildly pathetic, there was a GIANT miscommunication trope, and the plot was non existent. I’m sure this book is for someone but it isn’t for me.

What a truly lovely book. Faith is a twin to her sister Hope. They have been together like ports in a storm all their lives. They are soulmates and sisters. Faith has been with her popstar boyfriend Gabe for three years and is desperate to start a family. He’s reticence. Will they survive or will she get stronger.
This is a great book and I really enjoyed it.

This cute and quick read by Nancy Barone takes place in Cornwall with interior designer Faith, her cheating ex and a potential new beau.

I loved Henry and Faith's relationship, especially as Henry was always there for her and somehow knew what she needed. Not too big of a fan of all the miscommunication that took place, and didn't really love how Faith handled the news she got about Henry. Otherwise, I loved the characters and the overall plot of the story.

Thank you the NetGalley and Head of Zeus publishing for this arc!!

Lovely characters, a house with a breathtaking view and a talented designer who had a damaged childhood. Her sister and her family are her life but she desperately wants a family of her own. Finding out her ex is a liar and a cheat almost breaks her but as she throws herself into her work the lovely talented Henry and his son Orson help her see the bigger picture. This beautifully written book is a must read,

Predictable but good quick read. The main character grated some, but overall I enjoyed the story. The main character grated some, but overall a nice story about having faith in yourself and moving on.

A story of starting over and second chances….it’s definitely an unforgettable story and it just gets more beautiful and moving as it goes on until it reaches its conclusion which is a perfect ending. I absolutely loved it.

I received an ARC of Starting Over at the Little Beach House, by Nancy Barone. This is a lovely story about Faith. I did care for Gabe at all, but Faith and Henry are lovely.

Faith and her sister Hope have a bad childhood which leaves them unsecured for romance. Faith gets left by Gabe and after picking herself up finds it hard to put her trust in a.mother man. Along comes Henry and she has to make big decisions in life.

Really enjoyed this storyline and the adorable Orson and his lovely dad Henry, liked how all fi's friends rallied round her when times were not going as planned, a book I had to finish in one sitting as I couldn't put it down, a few giggles along the way especially covered in green paint and bursting into a meeting
A brilliant read

Starting Over at the Little Cornish Beach House is a lovely bit of romantic feel good escapism. The storyline is good (although a little chaotic and tongue in cheek), and the characters are likeable. I enjoyed it even though I felt there was probably just a few too many themes and twists and turns. The Cornish setting was lovely and you definitely will be wishing you were there. A good rainy day read to lift your spirits.
