A jolly good love story. Gosh the main character and her sister had such a rocky start in life. We do take family jolly family life for granted. Set in beautiful Cornwall . The house sounded amazing . Orson was a real cutie. It was a good Saturday relaxing read

"Even if memories are flooding through me like the sea at high tide, I can only go with the flow, and accept that what is done is done. Put it all in the past and look forward instead."

Quite a sweet read! It felt a little predictable, but there were some curveballs in the plot that definitely surprised me.

Faith being thrown these relationship hurdles with these men testing her patience and giving her trust issues was stressing me out and I HAD TO KNOW WHAT THE HECK WAS GOING ON.

A fun, beach or pool side read!

The story of Faith and Hope growing up in foster care made your heart go out to them immediately. But their childhood characters were so lovable in general.

I related to Faith who needed a fresh start after a cheater who had a hard time going away.

Henry is the guy everyone needs. A breath of fresh air b

I just finished the sweetest book by Nancy Barone. Faith is an interior designer, who has an ex that is a cheat and a liar, but the she meets Henry who changes everything. This is a lot very read and it goes through all f the emotions a romance brings you through. I definitely give this book ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Faith and twin sister Hope spent their childhood in foster care, moving from one home to another. All Faith wants as an adult is a family of her own. She thinks she has that with rock star fiance Gabe, but her world soon comes crashing down around her ears. Can she continue the renovations of their beach home with her team and local joiner Henry, and leave Gabe behind for good?

I'm afraid this book wasn't for me. I loved the scenery descriptions, and the child characters were adorable. However the adult characters were irritating, no one seemed to be able to talk to anyone else and I couldn't relate to any of them. I also found the timelines a bit patchy, things didn't always quite make sense to me, as if the author got a bit carried away with the story when writing!

I’m sorry, I just think I am not the right audience for the authors style of romance. The leading man who we as readers are supposed to feel attached too just really irritated me. He came across as a predator, honing in on a vulnerable woman. It reads very anti feminist, Henry (the leading man) said to Faith (our leading lady) ‘you should smile more, it makes you look prettier.’ Oh god. It made me want to cry and for all the wrong reasons. Henry says to Faith later on, when she is eating a salad: ‘here, have some meat. We need to put some real food in you.’ Salad is real food? Why is the author casting shade at plant-based diets?

Trigger/content warning - contains sensitive themes of alcoholism. Faith refers to herself as an alcoholic and doesn’t drink and hasn’t drank since she was 14. Then she falls off the wagon and drinks an entire bottle of whiskey. This absolutely should have put her in hospital but she wakes up fine, barely even a hangover and then just doesn’t drink again. It really lacks any basic research into addiction and alcoholism which made the story line, unbelievable and came across as very insensitive.

Perhaps I am not the target audience. I don’t eat meat, I won’t tolerate a man telling me to smile and I don’t drink alcohol. I appreciate the background to the plot line, the scenery is beautiful and the author is a great writer but I disliked the characters and the obsessive focus on becoming a mother.
