Hunter and his girlfriend Chloe were in a car accident the night of ho.ecoming, but Hunter doesn't remember anything about it and Chloe is gone. Desperate to find her, and discover what really happened that night, Hunter discovers how many secrets his community is hiding.

This is a clever mystery with engaging twists and an unexpected ending. Not quite a thriller but still pretty thrilling, it's well worth a read!

I received a copy from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

I love David bell but I don’t normally read YA books. I had to try his new book cause they suck me in every time. It didn’t disappoint! I couldn’t put it down. So good and kept me guessing who done it the whole time. Total twist! Thank you NetGalley for this advanced copy of this book!!!

This was a middle of the road read for me. I acknowledge that I am not really the target audience for this book and for me it read in the younger end of the YA spectrum.
That said I think for people looking to step into the mystery genre this is a good place to start. It has an interesting premise and the writing is good. I did enjoy the short chapters I thought they helped the story keep moving. The characters are likeable and you do become invested in the outcomes for them.
As an experienced reader in the mystery/thriller genre I did find some of the plot twists a little predictable however as an introduction to the genre I think new/younger readers would find this book really enjoyable.
I would pick up more from this author to try.
Thanks to netgalley, sourcebooks fire and the author David bell for access to an arc in exchange for my honest opinion.

A great YA that keeps you guessing until the end! Definitely recommend, even for adults. Really fast paced read.

When 17=year-old Hunter wakes up in hospital on the night of prom, he can’t remember anything of the evening. He learns he had been in a car accident and had somehow made his way to the hospital alone. But he hadn’t been alone in the car. His girlfriend had been in the car with him but now she’s missing. Has she wandered away hurt and confused or is it something much much worse and was Hunter involved in her disappearance?

She’s Gone by David Bell is one heck of a page-turner. It gripped me from the first page and it kept me guessing right to the end. I couldn’t put it down until I found out what happened. It’s aimed a YA audience but it definitely has appeal for older readers. A definite high recommendation from me.. Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for the opportunity to read ths book in exchange for an honest review.

I received this E-Book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own. This review will also be shared on GoodReads.

I really enjoyed this book. Normally I don't go for YA novels, but I'm really thrilled to report that this one was definitely worth reading. I really enjoyed learning about the relationship between Chloe and Hunter, and Hunter's relationship with his family. All of the characters were really well-written. Hunter's sister Olivia was my favorite character. I'm usually pretty good with guessing plot twists, but this book surprised me. I kind of saw where things were going but the build up was excellent. It was a quick read for me, but I got everything I needed from the book.

Another amazing ya mystery from David Bell! I was so excited to receive and be able to review his new book and this one definitely did not disappoint!

A promising plot but I feel the writing could have been developed some more. Some of the reveals were a bit predictable but there were some further complications which made the ending more worthwhile. The characters were described fairly well but could have been rounded out a bit more.

I received this arc from netgalley in exchange for my honest review.

“Where. Is. Chloe?”
Well if it’s not the question of the year!!! Wow this book felt like real adrenaline through the entire reading process!!!
A YA mystery thriller where everything is blurred and a young boy is thrown in the middle of it all simply because he doesn’t remember anything that happened at Homecoming night between him and his girlfriend while he was driving !!!
I particularly enjoyed the siblings dynamic between the main character and his sister, and the honest support they have for each other. I really liked how far they were ready to go to uncover the truth and, I’m not going to lie, that ending … wow wasn’t expecting it!!!!
I had some thoughts and predictions on how it would have turned out but well … let’s say I guessed some right and some wrong!!
I just needed a book like this one and I’m glad I had the chance to read it!!

She's Gone will take you on a journey as you try to figure out exactly what happened at that dance between Hunter and Chloe, why their car crashed, and where Chloe disappeared to.

No one believes that Hunter does not remember the events of the car crash. How could he not remember what happened to his girlfriend? He must be faking it, right? In fact, Hunter has no memories of the evening and every step he takes to try to exonerate himself in the court of public opinion goes awry.

The reader will enjoy trying to figure out how innocent Hunter really is, and who exactly was driving that car that he claims he saw the night of the crash.

Thank you to NetGalley for the digital ARC.

Taco Bell Chihuahua Say What?! 😳😯🤯😳

Wholy bonfire smoke! What in all that is good and true in this world?! This was an exceptional YA thriller mystery! But I expected nothing less from Bell, as his other thriller novels are just as divine. This was such a fast-paced, quick read I couldn't get enough of! As always, he was perfectly on point with the mystery & suspense and ranking up the wonder and suspicion.

Mყ 𝐒ყɴ𝐨ρѕιѕ: Hunter, seventeen years old, has just gotten home from the hospital after a severe head trauma & concussion after a car accident on the night of homecoming. And his girlfriend, Chloe has been missing since then. Items of hers found in the passenger side of the vehicle, including blood, has left more questions then answers of what happened to her and Hunter with no recollection of the night. To make matters worse, aside from everyone and the police believing he had something to do with her disappearing, Chloe's mother voices it publicly. As he starts to try and figure out what happened that night, he will come across things to face about himself and others he knows. Who can you trust, when you can't even remember?

An absolutely tasty treat by Bell. Even if you're not into YA novels, this is still perfect for the genre lovers it is. This was clever, smart, & so unexpected for an ending I was left breathless. Once again, a knock out by him. I ate this up like a large pizza all to myself with no shame. He knows how to keep you in the dark & unsure until he's ready to let you uncover what he wants & when he's finally delivered the final blow, you're never ready. And that's what I love about him! Absolutely genius at his job. Now excuse me while I rehydrate!

Thank you to NetGalley & SOURCEBOOKS Fire for this ARC.

She's Gone by David Bell
⭐⭐⭐/5

When a boy wakes up in the hospital after his home coming dance, with no memory of how he got there, he spirals into a restless state of trying to uncover what happened that night. One thing he does know is his girlfriend is missing. He knows she was with him in the car that night. But now shes missing. And the entire town thinks he had something to do with her disappearance.

This book had all the ingredients to a good thriller . The thriller aspect was definitely present. I wanted to know what happened until the very end . Unfortunately I didn't feel the ending was exactly the shocking twist I needed. Yes . I didn't expect it . But I also expected more. .
I felt the chatacter building could have been stronger . I feel like I needed to know the missing girl - Chloe better in order to feel any sympathy towards her disappearance.

This book is classified as a YA / Thriller .

Another take on the "I can't remember" trope. This time it is 17-year-old Hunter who has forgotten the night that he and his girlfriend got into a car accident. Told from Hunter's point of view we follow along as he investigates what really happened that night, is Chloe really gone? Did he have something to do with it? Or is something more nefarious at work?

I was surprised by how much I liked this as it is listed as young adult but it is really a grown-up story with younger characters. As usual David Bell writes a tension filed mystery with plenty of twists and turns. The author writes teens in a believable way and was able to evoke a mirid of emotions from this reader. I liked that the mystery's many layers are slowly peeled away as the who and why are revealed. Whether you are a fan such as myself or new to the author you won't be disappointed.

I have never read anything by this author before but I found this book to be enjoyable. Bell gives you all the ingredients for a well thought out mystery. The reader is hooked from the beginning with Hunter waking up from a car accident in a hospital with a concussion and no memory of what happened. His girlfriend Chloe was with him at the time of the accident but she can't be found. What happened to her? The story gets more and more intricate as details of that night start to surface. The unexpected conclusion is devastating and sad but ties everything up neatly with no loose ends. Anyone who loves mysteries will not be able to put this one down.

I was given this book by NetGalley for an honest reveiw -
An accident - they say the car hit a tree - his head is hurt - Chloe is missing - He can't remember - How did he get to the hospital?
How did the accident happen?
Hunter and Chloe have been a couple for awhile. Homecoming Dance, an exciting time for the two of them but nothing is as it should be. Chloe is upset and needs to tell Hunter something, but she is worried how he will take it - - - And then - - the accident!
Everything seems to point to Hunter and he can't remember. Will they find Chloe?

Hunter wakes up and realizes he doesn’t know what happened after homecoming and what happened to Chloe. He starts to try to find out and soon his friend Daniel ends up murdered. Things don’t look good for Hunter! If only he could remember what happened.

This book has a lot of twists and turns until the very end! I could not put it down!!

Didn’t want to stop reading this one. The main character was so realistic because he kept making one wrong decision after another, but it was good. The end, though, way too dramatic. Not sure how it could have ended but it shouldn’t have ended like that.

Special thanks to Sourcebooks Fire for the eGalley through NetGalley.

Hunter and his girlfriend Chloe are driving home from the Homecoming Dance when they have an accident and smash into a tree. Hunter wakes up in the hospital that night, not remembering anything from the the accident, but is told that Chloe is missing and nowhere to be found. Everyone thinks Hunter has something to do with Chloe’s disappearing, so he decides to investigate the disappearance on his own. Did Hunter have something to do with Chloe missing? Or is someone else involved here?

I have read almost all of David Bell's books and I am a huge fan, I absolutely LOVED this book! From beginning to end, I was fully engaged and couldn't wait to see what happened next. I usually don't read many Young Adult books, but this one was exceptionally good. The pacing was great and I enjoyed the short chapters. I am looking forward to seeing what David Bell comes up with next. Highly recommend!

Many thanks to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Fire for my ARC in exchange for my honest review.
