ARC provided by NetGalley for my personal opinions. This book has some graphic abuse details. I did enjoy the perspective but I felt the book went on and on with little snippets that did not go anywhere. There were some parts that were thrown in that had no substance to the story so I am not sure what the point was for them. Overall, a good read.

Liam and Mia both have baggage. They are both single parents but Mia has a lot more on her plate. Her husband recently divorced her and she has a medically fragile daughter and a son with anger issues. They are both part of the same group of friends, they just never met since Mia never socialized before her divorce. They hit it off immediately but Mia has little self confidence and Liam will be her boss at her new job. Can they overcome the obstacles thrown at them for a chance at happiness? Great read!

DNF. I couldn't connect with the characters and the story felt so odd for me. When I requested it I thought I would enjoy it, but turned out to be a big no for me after thirty pages.

This is a good book. The two main characters are Mia and Liam. Mia is a divorced mother of two that is an event planner. Liam is a father or two and helps his family run a lodge. Mia works at Liam’s family lodge. They both have some problems but together they work them out and fall in live and get married.

Let Me Love You More is the fourth book in Alandra Knight’s Finding Our Forever series. It follows Mia, a newly divorced single mother of two medically-challenged children. When she has a well deserved night off with some girl friends, she meets Liam Brentwood. There is an immediate attraction between the two of them but she is hesitant because her toxic ex made her think that no one would want to be with a woman with that much “baggage”.

I went into this book not knowing anything except for what the premise said and I was pretty excited. The storyline sounded interesting and from a few reviews I read, I knew that Liam would be my type of love interest (he totally is), but unfortunately, this just fell flat for me.

I felt like Mia was constantly (and I mean constantly) complaining, which honestly there is nothing wrong with that, especially with all that she’s gone through, but she was often times repeating herself over and over and over and over again.

In the beginning, there was one line where a side character used the term “snowflake” when talking about sexual harassment policies and that was just insensitive and not funny at all.

Also, this might be because it’s the fourth book in a series that I haven’t read, but there were SO many characters and some of them had similar names (for example: Anton and Antonio) so it was hard for me to figure out who was who sometimes and there was so much backstory for each character that I oftentimes found myself skimming long paragraphs.

Lastly, the ex husband (and his girlfriend/wife/whatever they call her). Chris was so horrible to the point where it was ridiculous and unrealistic, especially towards the end. I understand that he’s a bad character and had to be painted in a bad light but some of it was so dramatic that I wasn’t even entertained, to be honest.

On a good note, I really did love Liam and I liked Mia most of the time. Liam was such a great love interest that some people would probably even say that he was too perfect, which I did not mind at all. I loved how he was fully committed to making sure Mia knew how beautiful he thought she was and how much she mattered.

I also really did like the representation of both of her kids illnesses and the way it was portrayed.

Overall though, this book just fell flat for me. It had a lot of potential and I personally felt that that potential slowly dwindled down as I kept reading.

Let me Love You More was my first book by the author Alandra Knight. I haven’t read the other books in the series but I will definitely read them.

The story begins with Mia, a mom of two young children, one who has complex medical needs and her eldest child having behavioural issues trying to balance as a single parent after being served divorce papers by her ex husband.

The story was a little overwhelming having not read the earlier books in the series but that didn’t impact my enjoyment of the book. Mia has been downtrodden and had her self esteem shot to smithereens by her slimebag ex husband.

On a very rare night out with her best friend and girl friends she’s introduced to Liam, who is helping out covering a shift in his brothers restaurant.. Attraction sparks between them but Liam and Mia’s journey isn’t easy even though they really do belong together.

This story was about second chance love and all of the obstacles that may get in the way, showing you that love should always be given the chance. .

Made me feel something!??!? (soft and gooey, but in a good way)
This book was SO CUTE! The side characters didn't take away from the story and the heros were loveable and easy to connect with. I will DEFINITELY be reading more of this author.

This was an excellent story. Everyone should have their very own Liam! Mia is a strong, independent woman with two challenging but beautiful children. They way the two main characters intertwine their families and support each other is amazing. The story flowed well and was beautifully written. I love this series!

Sweet. Inspiring. Lifelike. This book deals with real life drama that most single parents go through, but when you add in a selfless and loving partner and a healthy dose of spice, you get the heartfelt book that is Let Me Love You More.

Mia’s character growth is fantastic. She goes from scared, emotionally drained, and self deprecating to strong, resilient, and confident. The help from her family members and the way everyone comes together is nothing short of heartwarming and could be straight out of a Hallmark movie. Liam is perfection in the form of a man. His witty lines and how he understands her even when she stumbles on her words helps form him into the swoon-worthy good guy.

My biggest complaint with this book, however, is that everything seems to be drawn out. It felt like the first 20% of the book could have been condensed down quite a bit because a lot of things were repetitive. It made the book slow down quite a bit in the beginning and towards the end. The ex husband was a bit on the extreme side and is really portrayed as the villain early on, but I think it’s talked about so much that when he finally comes into the story, it becomes intense. Also, I noticed a few plot holes and typos that could be cleared up with a few good editing sessions, but otherwise the story was good!

I liked the dynamic of the kids thrown in and (as a mom) I definitely related to a lot of things. It became extremely realistic in certain areas and made you feel for these characters as if they’re real people. They’re adults dealing with adult situations and have conversations like real mature people often do. This is my first book by this author and I look forward to seeing more from her in the future.

“You deserve someone who’s going to tell you that you’re beautiful a minimum of twice a day if not more”
“That’s my girl”
“Don’t doubt your beauty, Mia. You’re gorgeous in every way possible. Every curve … every freckle… every stretch mark … every scar”
Wow … just wow !!!
When I started reading this book I expected a romance to draw me in a very every romance can … I was so mistaken !!
This book is completely different!! This story is about trust, trauma, love, caring and learning how to rely on someone else again !!! This is a story about respect, facing hard times together and overcoming them !!!
I absolutely loved the characters !!! Mia is such a strong, independent woman who had to go through everything on her own. Her children are a handle, to say the least, and her husband is more a burden and an abuser than anything else !!! This book is a shout out for every single mum around the world trying to create a safe environment for their children while also caring for them, looking after them and protecting them from any form of harm !!!
Liam is such a sweetheart and the love they share , that he fought hard to make her see, is so pure and honest … a dream coming true !!!
Yes he is the first to fall and I loved it !!! He is the one trying to make her see her strength, her power, her beauty right there where she couldn’t see it for herself !!!
The family and the relationships they have … it made for an amazing background where the only really important thing is being there for those you love and who loves you !!!!
I’m so glad I had the chance to read this book and I honestly think more people should !!!!
“To the world you may just be one person, but to one person, you are the world”
“Let me take care of your needs, Angel”
“I swear to you Mia , I don’t think I deserve you, but I’m willing to spend the rest of my life proving my love to you”
“Let me love you”

DNF at the point in which the term snowflake is used in reference to sexual harassment policies.

See below:

The form is simple and very matter of a fact. It reads as follows. I the undersigned, understand that everything I see and hear within Python’s is all in good fun. I understand that I am NOT allowed to touch the employees without their permission. I understand that I am free to leave if I am uncomfortable AFTER I pay my tab. Failure to pay the tab will result with a visit from a real cop. I understand that if I feel that an employee is crossing a line that I am only allowed to bring it up with the management on duty. I understand that by signing this, what happens at Python’s stays at Python’s.

The form seems a bit much, but Carter, my brother’s lawyer says it’s more to cover his ass in case a snowflake gets offended.

I found this to be insensitive and not particularly funny.

Let Me Love you More was my first book by this author. Mia is a mother of two and recently out of a very toxic relationship with her husband. She is very devoted to her children and was a devoted wife, but the way her ex treated her left her with poor self-esteem. Her children's behavior and medical issues often leave her tired and stressed, but she is a fighter. Liam is a friend of Mia's brothers and they meet one night by chance and he is smitten pretty quickly. Liam is also a father of two and takes on a helper/friend role in Mia's life before she trusts him enough for things to progress to more.

I think the story line had promise, but the execution fell flat at times. I think there may have too many characters, or at least not enough difference in their names or enough to tell them apart to make it easy enough to keep everything clear. I think parts of the story were redundant and therefore the story seemed excessively long at times given what actually happened throughout the story. I struggled at various points with Mia's ex husband's role in the story...at least how it was portrayed. I get what the author was trying to do in terms of painting him as a bad guy with negative traits, but his interactions with Mia were over the top compared to other books I have read, and Mia almost turned into a similar version of her ex in those interactions and the language they both used was a bit much at times, but maybe that is a me issue. I think his toxicity and negativity could have easily been portrayed without some of really harsh interactions/word choices. I feel similarly about the ex's new girlfriend and the interactions she had with Mia and Mia's son. To that same end, their was a major conflict in the story regarding the ex-husband that I felt like happened and then there really wasn't any closure to after the fact, so I feel like that could have used some further development. There were also other parts of the story that I felt like needed further development and/or explanation as well, things that were major concerns for Mia or caused major hiccups in her life, but then never got talked about again as she moved on to her happiy ever after with Liam.

Liam pretty much made this whole story. He was perfection. He came in like a hero doing everything right and being everything for everyone, and there is nothing better than an amazing father. It just seemed like maybe he was too perfect. I know it is a romance book, but there was a lot going on with Mia and Liam just jumped in, no hesitation, full throttle, and it seemed almost too easy.

So, while I wanted to love this book, I wasn't quite there. I do think it had a lot of good parts. Mia is an incredible mother and she has an amazing support system, and Liam is the perfect partner. Some of the nuances of the story line could use some development. I do look forward to reading more from the author in the future.

Let Me Love You More, A Small Town Romance (Finding our Forever Book 4), Alandra Knight

Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews

Genre: Romance

I'd not read the earlier books in this series, but as they are all stand alone I didn't think that would be an issue. As the stories are all connected via characters though I think maybe I'd have liked t more if I had read those books. There were so many characters that at first I found it really confusing, who was with who etc and if I already knew those stories then maybe things would have been easier to follow.
So, Liam, absolutely gorgeous but....maybe just that bit too perfect. He always understands, knows the answer to everything, never gets cross, always has time even though he's busy with the lodge, time for breaks, picnics, support, he seems able to drop everything with no repercussions.
Mia has just started in a new job there and it made me wonder how she was able to just keep leaving for personal issues. And that term “Medial Mom” drove me mad after the Nth repetition. I get she's got kids with problems, very serious ones in Ariana's case but I felt it was shoved down our throats. I understand how difficult it is to deal with disabilities, with kids that have problems – been there, done that but I still found that term becoming offensive, almost like a catch all excuse. I did understand her lack of self esteem, her ex did a really good job there, but it made me wonder how they ever got together....
Liam's family, pretty intense, very in each others business. I'd have liked to see more of his twins interacting with Liam and Mia on their own behalf, and not just as adjuncts to Cooper and Ariana. They seemed a bit like after thoughts, and they'd been through real grief too.
Parts of the story felt odd, Jackson ( I think that was his name), in love with Kellie but marrying the weirdest woman and why? Maybe an earlier book explained that. I did like the weird woman though, I do like a real b – itch character in a book. Mia's ex and his new GF, they were just plain odd, really lost the plot, but then there were connections there that maybe an earlier book would have explained. The financing: the family can afford to fly everyone out – and back – on a private plain to a posh isl;and spa pre wedding, and yet in the next breath Liam is saying to one of his brothers he doesn't have the money to fund Ariana's walking supports, and wishes he did.

Stars: Three. I enjoyed the story, it was a fun romance, with a little extra drama, but I found Liam a little too perfect, and at times, even though I understood them, Mia's insecurities irritated me.
