This is a quick, easy read with a predictable ending. If you are looking for something light to take to the beach or take your mind off life in general you could pick this up. It will not stick with you in the long run, but I don't think it was written for impact, just escape.

My biggest issue with the whole story line was that Shelby and Tommy met, ten minutes later they were kissing and three weeks later they were fake engaged ( not spoiling anything - it was in the synopsis ). All the lies that came with it just didn't really feel real ( not even fiction real ).

The happily ever after ending just sort of happened - puff - all their problems are solved and everything is great between them.

I picked Right for Me to read based on the fact I had read other books by this author that I really enjoyed. Unfortunately, that was not the case for this one. I felt the characters' behavior was too outlandish and childish. Needless to say, I only managed to get through the first few chapters before I gave up. If you are really into romance novels this will probably be a good choice for you. Thanks to the author, publisher Red Adept Publishing, LLC, and NetGalley for providing a copy of this ebook for an honest review.

Thank you Netgalley for my free copy!

This was a cute book. A very cute romance novel with likable characters. My only complaint is that sometimes it was a little too sugary (pun intended). All the characters were nice (except the ex-girlfriend from hell). It was easy to root for the characters. Definitely a great rom-com that makes you smile. If you need a feel-good book, then this is for you.

I was drawn to this book by the cover and the promotional description. It was categorized as General Fiction (Adult)/Romance. However, it reads like a YA novel and consequently, I never got past the first few chapters. So “Right for Me” is a DNF.

The writing was too simplistic and the emotional tone felt shallow and immature. Additionally, the premise of pretending to be a couple for social approval has been done so often in books and films that it is now clichéd. While many other reviewers reported how much they enjoyed this book, it wasn’t a match for me.

My thanks to the author, the publisher, and NetGalley for the privilege of receiving this book. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book from beginning to the end. Acceptance is a huge part of our lives, I love how Cindy elaborated on that in this book. This book is perfect for young adults and "advanced" adults alike.

Darla and Theo reunite six years after their big “oopsie”, which is by no means a regret. Heather and Vaughn learn to like one another after their mishap in the college dorm. Shelby and Tommy instantly fall head over heels for each other the minute they set eyes on one another. Which relationship will end in happily ever after and which will crumble to pieces?
Right for Me is an easy to read, down to earth, relatable, contemporary romance written by Cindy Dorminy. Dorminy didn’t waste any time and jumped right into the lives of Darla and Shelby. I was sucked in from the very beginning rooting for all the relationships to withstand the drama. I enjoyed Dorminy’s writing style. Each chapter was narrated by a different character, making it easy to follow along with whose thoughts belonged to whom. The characters were all very likeable, however, in the end I found myself silently yelling at Shelby to “get her act together”. I so badly wanted her to understand Tommy’s troubles. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a short, quick, fictional read in the contemporary romance genre. I personally will be keeping my eye out for other books written by Cindy Dorminy in the future.

I wanted to love this one so much more than I did. I've really enjoyed Cindy Dorminy's "In a ...." series and had hopes this would be as good - I just wasn't as interested.

Their whole story is based on lies - from a fake engagement and all that follows. The characters are strongly developed and I really wanted to like them, but I just didn't care enough about them to stay invested in the story.

Thank you to NetGalley, the author and publisher for a temporary, digital ARC in return for my review.

Tommy and Shelby meet when her best friend and his brother reconnect. They are instantly attracted to each other, but Tommy is just out of one disastrous relationship and try’s to take thing’s slowly with Shelby. She thinks he is going back to School soon to nothing too serious will come of things, but the more time they spend together the more she wants to ask him to stay. They end up in a fake relationship due to Shelby’s need to make her parents proud. Things spiral out of control quite quickly and there is a lot of pressure put on them both. Tommy does not handle pressure very well and when things from his past catch up with him he doesn’t cope very well and pushes Shelby away. Shelby gets hurt by the way things play out and it looks like they won’t survive. Shelby tries to go on without Tommy, but even after everything that has happened she knows he really is a good man. Tommy knows he messed up and tries everything in his power to win her back. I found Tommy frustrating at times and was glad when Shelby finally stood up for herself. This was a sweet, enjoyable story.

A sweet, lighthearted tale, the second in a series.

This is such a lovely story it brought a lot to the table in terms of relating to true everyday life. Poor Shelby was just tying to live her life but like all of us she suffered the everyday problems we all face, rejection, living up to parents expectations, and not living her best life to the fullest. Enter Tommy. Tommy captured my heart the moment I saw him (yes, I saw him in my minds eye from the lovely description of his looks and character written by the author). Tommy is one the sweetest characters I have ever read in a book. He just wants to do the right thing, which isn’t always easy for him. His heart definitely rules his head in every area of his life. World’s collide when they meet and from there it spins off into a hilarious at times, heartfelt most of the time, wonderful story of family, friends, treachery, manipulation and moments that will pull at every heartstring. Just like in real life there are elements out of our control but life goes on and we have to motor on. Sometimes we do stupid things on impulse not thinking it through and it costs us. Believe me you get all that in this book and much more.

Adorably cute, sweetly sad, heartwarming and filled with endearing characters who seem to make the wrong decisions at the worst of times.

Cindy Dorminy’s RIGHT FOR ME is that romance that is definitely memorable and light enough to leave readers smiling, because isn’t it just the best when two people fit together perfectly without having to gnaw off too many edges?

Sweet, lighthearted, heart-warming novel. It is the second in a series, and it would help to read the first - I hadn't - but I still really enjoyed the book.
