Thank you Penguin Random House for the #gifted finished copy and netgalley for an arc in exchange for an honest review.
Obviously, this review is very late as the book was published last year already. Over the last 6 months I attempted to read this book but not getting more then 50 pages in. I decided to give the audiobook a try instead. The audiobook made it a lot easier to get in to and I managed to binge the whole book in 1 day. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the audiobook and how that story came together. With the two different story lines and pov's I thought I would easily get lost but it was surprisingly easy to keep track of.

This was not my favorite love story written by Nicholas Sparks. It fell flat and just wasn't very memorable to me. I will continue to buy and read anything by him though.

I really enjoyed this book. I did not see the twist coming at all. The love story was so sweet. I really enjoyed the characters and found them to be lovable.

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this novel from the publisher through NetGalley and loved every minute of it! Dreamland is not your typical Nicholas Sparks novel! This book takes place in St. Pete Beach, FL [fun for a vacay read!] and has a plot that's totally different than anything I've read by Nicholas Sparks before. The novel introduces two very different characters with two very different storylines, that will have you wondering "how in the world are these two people connected?!".

I am pretty sure I have read all of Nicholas Sparks books so I was thrilled that Dreamland was out. I enjoyed the story and the writing was spot on. Never disappointed in his books.

Nicholas Sparks books all have a vibe/theme/feel about them. I went into this book expecting exactly that. While I will say it eventually gets to that, it does not in the beginning. It is a dual POV book about two characters and you wonder how and when their lives will intertwine the way you suspect they will in a "Nicholas Sparks Book". I loved Beverly and I loved the way she was so relatable with her story. I was a little confused with Colby's storyline at first but in true fashion the real plot reared its head and was lovely. I have never read a Nicholas Sparks book that I didn't enjoy and this one did NOT disappoint!

I've read a few books by Nicholas Sparks and enjoyed them, and every time I read one I wonder why I haven't read more. I was intrigued by the description of this one and the dual storylines, and now that I've finished it I'm wondering again why I don't read more of his books.
One storyline is that of two young people who meet on a Florida beach vacation - they're immediately attracted to each other, and as they get to know each other their attraction grows with their common love of music and performing, despite their very different backgrounds. The other story is that of a woman trying to escape with her young son from an abusive relationship, and as we read we're trying to guess where these lives will intersect. I enjoyed the glimpse of North Carolina farm life - I have cousins who successfully operate the family farm in N.C. that my mom grew up on, so the ways the characters had found to adapt for success were interesting to me, and some were familiar. The account of a young woman planning her escape and the thought processes that go into devising such a plan were both compelling and heartbreaking, even moreso when the storylines converge. I read some of this book, but mostly I listened to the audiobook and can highly recommend the audio version to readers to enjoy audiobooks - the narrations of both storylines were excellent.
Thanks to Netgalley and Random House for providing a copy for an unbiased review.

I always love a good Nicholas Sparks story and this one definitely fit the bill. I loved every minute of it!

Hello
Apologies for the late notice, but I have decided not to review this title.
While I am certain it's obvious by now, I wanted to also clear this off NetGalley, so it's not showing as open for either of us.
I look forward to continuing to work with you in 2023 and beyond.

Nicholas never disappoints in making me feel for his characters. It’s like I’m right there with them, feeling everything they do, experiencing it all. This book was no exception. I’m still all up in my feels and it’s been days since I read it. Always recommend anything this man writes.

I used to love reading Nicholas Spark’s books, but his latest ones I have lost interest and this was my last attempt.

I am an avid lover of all things Sparks. I have a copy of every one of his books and have read most of them more than once. With that being said, I was not a fan of this book. It started out really slow for me and I had to make myself finish it. It was broken up into multiple parts and you do not find out until the end how they intersect. It was not his best work but it was still a great book. Nicholas Sparks is an amazing writer and you should not judge his talent on this one particular book.

Not his best book but acceptable. I had to force myself to keep reading. Many thanks to publisher and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion

Love triangle~ No
Cheating~ No
HEA~ Maybe?
Would I read more by this author~ Yes
Rating~ 3 stars
Dreamland is just what U'd Xpect to come out of Nicholas Sparks. An emotional roller~coaster however loopty or enthralling is completely irrelevant.
Story is about 2 siblings lives upbringing in their small town where they have a family farm.
Sparks tells this story from each of the siblings' perspectives.
Beverly is the older sister and Colby is the brother who during his High school years was a member of a band.
However ~ as the time passes farm life bcomes more demanding and forces Colby to reprioritize his decisions.
I found these characters somewhat relatable and I personally found it hard to connect to any of their stories.
There is however love and heartache and a sweet little twist in the midst that makes the read completely worth it!
All in all~Bravo!

I really liked this book.
It’s a little different than his normal books.
It had mystery, love, and family drama.
I liked the happy ending. The characters were really well rounded and I liked that as well

This one missed the mark for me. I liked the story and I typically love Nicholas' novels but I just felt like I forced myself to finish this one.

Dreamland was such an easy, cozy read and he has a way to gut you with his books. As with all of his books, this one is emotional and pulls at the heart strings. It has two separate seeming stories each written to connect the reader and keep you engaged. It isn't until the end that the stories overlap, leaving the reader fulfilled.

I enjoyed this love story... even if at times it would seem to be a bit unbelievable. The meeting between the characters as the story intersects. But I enjoyed the relationship that builds between the two and blossoms and then... separate..

I haven't read a Nicholas Sparks book in a long time, but I'm so glad I read this one. It was such an easy, cozy read and he has a way to gut you with his books. I loved this one and am now going back to read the ones I have missed before this one!

This book just wasn't for me. It wasn't bad, it just didn't pull me in the way I expected. I didn't connect with either of the main characters and was pretty bored by the storylines.
