I have read all of Nicholas Sparks's books and this one was done in true old fashion Sparks style. I've been waiting years for him to come back around.

In this story Colby is running his family farm. While on a much needed vacation he comes across Morgan who is about to start an adventure to become a country singer.
Meanwhile, Beverly and her son Tommie are struggling to find a better life away from an abusive husband and father.

The entire time I was reading I was expecting a tragic story of someone dying because all Spark books usually have a sad twist. It was a great turn of events though.
It probably could have been longer but other than that it was excellent.

Thank you for allowing me to preview it!

ARC provided by NetGalley and publisher for an honest review.
Nicholas Sparks brings all of the feelings with this book. In true form, you will be left with a page-turner that keeps you up all night to see it through. Great character build-up with a heartfelt storyline.

Great, quick read! I've loved Nicholas Sparks books for a long time and read all of them. This one is true to his style of writing and included relevant current topics like mental health conditions. If you like other books by this author, this one does not disappoint!

Dreamland is a typical Nicholas Sparks read, but with a twist. You’ve got your love story over a week long vacation and then you’ve got your thriller storyline that has your heart racing. I had my guesses on how it would end, but I’ll admit I was surprised by the conclusion. However, I was not sold by the love story storyline - it lacked the depth that it needed to make me believe these two unlikely people actually fell in love. All in all, it was still an enjoyable Sparks read.

Thank you to NetGalley and Random House Publishing for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This book started out great, I loved the crossover of the stories, but it fell flat for me at the end. To me it was too typical boy gets girl.

I really enjoy Sparks' movie adaptations, so I figured I'd give a book a try instead. I didn't like it...but fans of Sparks' previous novels probably will.

I have always enjoyed reading books by Nicholas Sparks, especially since he lived in my hometown. Like with all novelists, some books are better than others, and I was intrigued by the premise of his latest novel Dreamland.

The novel alternates between two characters: Colby, a young man running his family farm who is on vacation for three weeks in Florida and is enjoying his hobby of singing and writing music, and Beverly, a woman on the run from her husband. I found Colby's story to be easy-to-read and fast-paced; he meets and quickly falls in love with a recent college graduate Morgan, and the differences in their lives make it a bit difficult for love to overcome. Morgan, the daughter of two doctors, majored in voice studies and will be moving to Nashville; Colby barely squeaked by in high school and has to take care of his aunt and his sister on the farm. Beverly's story was heartbreaking; reading about her attempts to protect herself along with her young son from her former husband really made you connect with her.

If you have read Nicholas Sparks's books, you know there is usually a twist, and with this book, it had to do with how the characters were connected. Based on his hints, I was able to predict the connection. I also had a difficult time liking Morgan as a character. She was described as being naive, and her lack of worldly experience definitely did not make her a good fit for Colby, in my opinion.

I think this book is worth reading if you read a lot of books, but if you find yourself pressed for time, I would skip this one.

I love Nicholas Sparks books. They usually have me in tears. This one was just too slow moving and I had an incredibly hard time staying interested in it.

This was a captivating, wonderful story of family, romance, loyalty, and commitment.
The book is told in alternating parts between Colby, a 25 year old singer/farmer on a hiatus in Florida, and a woman, Beverly, on the run from her abusive husband. The two do not appear to have any connection but each story had me turning the page all night to see what happened next. When the two eventually connect, all the pieces of the story fall into place, and the story takes on a whole other dimension. Absolutely brilliantly told. This book was a little different from other Nicholas Sparks' books, but highly recommend for his fans. Could not put it down.
I received an advance copy of this. book in exchange for my honest review.

I have been a long time fan of Nicholas Sparks and was so excited to get a review copy of this book until I started reading it. I had a really hard time getting into this book to the point that I have had to put it down a few times and am now just giving up without finishing.

Colby seems like a hard working man who would love a career in music but is busy working on the family farm instead. Morgan is on a vacation with her friends that her family has paid for and I feel that she does not understand the differences in their lives.

I thought that this story moved too slowly and I had a hard time staying interested in it. To say that I am disappointed in this book is an understatement but I hope that others have a better time with it than I did.

I have loved every book that Nicholas Sparks has written and this is no exception! The story is interesting from beginning to end. I didn't get what was going on until about halfway through the book and what a surprise it was. Everything came together and I can't stop thinking about it. Great book!

This book is divided into "parts" that alternate the point of view between Colby, a farmer from North Carolina on vacation in Florida, and Beverly, who is on the run with her young son from an abusive husband. The parts don't seem to have anything in common except that they pull you in and you want to get to the end of the book to find out how this all fits together. I have to say that it is a page-turner. I don't want to put the book down. Nicholas Sparks has given his fans a real treat in Dreamland. I loved this book and would give it more than five stars if I could. Thanks to author Nicholas Sparks, Random House, and NetGalley for providing a copy of this ebook for an honest review.

Colby is a guitar playing farmer who is on vacation playing music at night at a bar on the beach. He meets Morgan who is on vacation with some friends. She is also really enjoys music and they start hanging out while things slowly get serious.

Beverly is on the from her abusive husband. Her and her son strategically take bus after bus until she feels like she’s put enough distance between them and her husband.

How their stories intertwine will have you guessing until the very end.

I have read and enjoyed many of Nicholas Sparks’ books and this book did not disappoint. I really liked both of the characters in this book and was definitely not expecting the ending that I got. As far Sparks’ books go this one was a little different in the best possible way.

You can tell how much family means to Colby throughout the book and how much of a good guy he is. I really liked the way he treated Morgan and how he talked about his sister.

Your heart will break for Beverly and her son as their story plays out. She so scared and always looking over her shoulder.

I really enjoyed reading this book and will definitely be buying a hard copy when it comes out.

Thank you, Random House, and NetGalley in return for an honest review.

Thank you NetGalley and Random House for this ARC. Colby is in St. Pete for a few weeks singing at Bobby T's and taking a break from the family farm when he meets Morgan. Sparks fly and they quickly know each other are special.

Beverly is on the run with her son Tommie from her abusive husband. How will she be able to support and feed her son with no way of finding a job without her husband finding her?

How do these two stories collide? Sparks kept me on my toes with this one with a shocking ending.

Thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for a great ARC I could not put down!! Preorder this book now! You will not be disappointed. I was drawn into this story from the start. I loved this book! It was really different from most of his books.
The two storylines seemingly have nothing to do with each other, until they do. This book had the love stories I expect from Nicholas Sparks, but also suspense and a lot of hard topics. I did not expect this book to end like it did. LOVED THIS BOOK!
I recommend this book and have already preordered it for our library.

I loved this book! It was really different from most of his books. Imagine you are reading two different books and after each chapter you really want to know what happens so you switch books and read a chapter, then switch back. The two story lines seemingly have nothing to do with each other, until they do. This book had the love stories I expect from Nicholas Sparks, but also suspense and a lot of hard topics.

Colby and Beverly - how are they related related and how do their lives intertwine? This is the question I asked myself for most of the book. The answer to this question is explosive!

Colby, a farmer, is on a working vacation in St. Petes, Florida for three weeks; but he is not there on farm business. He is pursuing his dream to be a singer and songwriter playing gigs at a fancy resort, where he meets Morgan. Recently graduated from college and a Tik Tok star, Morgan is spending a week relaxing with friends before moving to Nashville to also pursue a music career. There is an instant connection and a rapidly growing relationship. But what happens at the end of the week when they have to go back to their lives? Will they find their Dreamland?

Beverly is on the run from her abusive husband with her seven year old son. Her flight takes her and her son across the country, frantically trying to cover their tracks. You see, Gary works for Homeland Security and has many resources to find her. With very little money, they find a safe place to stay, but for how long? Or will they find their Dreamland?

Two seemingly different stories collide in an ending that will pull at your heartstrings. How are their stories entertained and can they use that to find their Dreamland?

Trigger warning for mental illness and suicide.

I was given an arc by Netgalley in exchange for my honest review.

This is my first Sparks book in awhile and I REALLY enjoyed it. I read most of it in a day; it was super quick and I liked the dual POV. It took me awhile to figure out the twist, and it was a REALLY good one.

4⭐️
.25🌶(literally a kiss, lol. this is a fade-to-black book! not my usual kind of read but a good change of pace)
