I'd even like to apologize for not having read this book sooner.
It's so interesting...

We live in a time when looking for a serious relationship online is more common than meeting someone casually, at the grocery store for example, and it works out.
The author shows - as in a manual - the tactics used relentlessly by people who go to dating sites but don't want a real relationship.
From her own experiences, she recounts the various types of guys she's tried to date, and the ways she herself has found not to fall for the conversation of those who aren't worth it.
It's almost like a therapy session, with the therapist actually giving you the tips, rather than just asking you questions.
For divorced, widowed or older single women who want to understand this new world of relationship.

"Seriously, This Is Online Dating?: How to Love Yourself Harder and Date Smarter" is a self-help guide that talks about many woes faced by women in the modern-day dating world and how to tackle them in a smarter way.
The author Sean Marie Bee is a certified life coach specialising in self-love and online dating and shares relatable dating stories from her own experiences. The common mistakes made and things not to overlook.

The book also talks about how healing and self-acceptance is important before starting any relationship in life. Setting boundaries and realistic expectations to date smarter without compromising on our principles and most importantly, how to love and build a strong relationship with yourself first.

I could totally relate to the experiences and stories shared by the author. The writing is precise and realistic without stretching things. Over-all, a nice and decent read for anyone who has been through or on a search to find their ideal partner.

This is an interesting book for sure. As a mid-twenties woman, I can't identify with all of the situations the author went through, but the overall messaging, the lessons she described throughout her experiences with online dating, and the frank conversations she showed herself having as she went through the process of her own healing and self-discovery gave me lots to think about on my own journey. I also enjoyed the stories of the failed dates as examples of what one might see, and these made me reflect on my own failed dates. Ultimately, I thought this was a short, but sweet book that is aimed at older women looking to get back into the dating scene especially, but can be read by almost anyone unsure about online dating.

Relationships aren't the key to happiness; self-love is. And it's time to keep a journal.

This is a book for anyone who's trying online dating. Some people meet the right people there, but it is likely to have a series of unexpected stories for most of us. The author, Sean Marie Bee put her experiences of online dating into this book, and I personally learn some great advice from this book.

There are three parts in this book. The first part (around 60% of this book) is about the author's experiences on different dates, and it also presents various signs of red flags. The rest of the book gives the readers tips while healing from unpleasant dating experiences and preparing for a more successful dating journey in the future.

While reading this book, I found it relatable in many stories! This is, for sure, more than a manual for online dating. We're not alone in the online dating world, and this book would help you avoid confusion and failures. 4/5 - a light but worthy read.
