A psychological family thriller, it is a page turner for sure. I loved the fact that the book is divided into small bite-sized chapters. I have always preferred smaller chapters to longer ones. I was up at night reading this one, so for sure I was intrigued and immersed in the storyline and plot. I wanted to keep going back to the book, which was another sign that I found the book interesting.

I loved reading about Claire and Kay's camaraderie. We all have a friend we love sharing stories and a tall glass of wine with. While I was rooting for Kay in the book, I was miffed with her drinking and smoking habit. However, I believe the author added it to show that the main character was vulnerable as well. The character development is a bit weak, and I struggled to relate with the characters. I wish the author had spent some more precious real estate on elaborating the back-stories of some of the characters - including George, Rachel and Ryan. I wasn't always able to understand the motivation behind their behavior.

A definite recommendation for readers who love a breezy, page-turner psychological thriller.

Initially I thought this seemed really slow and wasn't going to be my thing but omg was I wrong! I absolutely loved it!!! It does take a few chapters to warm but once it does, it will have you hooked. I loved how realistic and relatable the characters were and it made it so easy to empathise with them and what they were going through. I'd absolutely recommend this to anyone as the perfect escape that will make you forget all kf your own problems since you'll be too invested in the characters problems instead.

The day my path crossed with Simon Fox I thought I had already lost everything. But then he ran me off the road. with his flash car and belittling jibes. The men in my life had belittled me for too long. Enough was enough. Fuelled with alcohol and the desire to get even, I decided a spot of petty vandalism would make me feel a whole lot better.

Kay and her husband Johnathon have separated. She is also having problems at work. Then she has an altercation with Simon Fox, who nearly runs her off the road. All the men in Kay's life seem to treat her badly - including the men that she worked with

Kay has a good friend in Claire, Claire's always there to give Claire a shoulder to cry on. All Kay really wants in life is to give her eighteen year old twins, Rachel and Ryan, a better life. Kay is far from perfect, but her intensions are good. Except for Simon Fox. She didn't know the can of worms she was opening when she took her revenge on Simon Fox. An easy book to read that held my attention throughout;

I would like to thank #NetGalley #BoldwoodBooks and the author #GemmaRogers for my ARC of #TheFeud in exchange for an honest review.

If i could i would double the stars given to this book.
The main character Kay is so real. Her husband has left her, she is having a real hard time at work and has teenage twins. It wouldn't take much to tip anyone over the edge would it?
This kept me reading until the early hours, the story kept me guessing and i felt i could really relate to Kay.

ABSOLOUTLY BRILLIANT!

My sincere thanks to the publisher and to Netgalley for allowing me to read and give my honest opinion.

Everything I look for in a psychological family based drama thriller was here tbh, it was pretty perfect reading
Kay, scorned and belittled at home and work and now while driving home decides enough is enough and seeks revenge, not knowing however how one little payback will start a feud with unthinkable consequences, while she battles to remain in control everyone else seems to be doing all they can to take over her life
Its tense and some of the characters she deals with ( especially at work and also one of the main characters Simon ) caused me to be riled up and I was on her side, shouting support ( literally ) and hoping she and then they got their just rewards
Now Kay isen’t perfect, she makes mistakes along the way, who doesn’t but that just made her more likeable in my eyes
An excellent sit back and enjoy book, instantly accessible and easy to read, as say it really was a perfect book for me

The main character is going through quite a bad spell. Her husband is leaving her. She has two moody teenagers at home. And her professional life has hit a bumpy patch. Then a road rage incident pushes her over the edge. But the target of her rage is not a man to be messed with and things escalate in a terrifying way. I enjoyed the plot but had a real problem with the main character being such a sad sack. She reminded me of the main character in The Girl from the Train, another alcoholic mess. I can understand that she is not at fault for her addiction but it's still hard to stomach the things she bring on herself through her actions.

Thank you, NetGalley for the ARC of The Feud by Gemma Roger. I enjoy the book and finished in one night. WOW, what a wild ride. No spoilers, but who would have seen the ending coming? Very well done.. The ending was the shocker of all the others. Well done.

Kay is having a bad day. Her husband Jonathon of 18 years has just announced that he is leaving her. They have two teenage kids that are a handful. She is having problems at work and now she has been cuts her off while driving in his flashy Jaguar. Life couldn’t get any worse, or could it?
To get revenge she finds out that the guy in the Jaguar Simon Fox is currently near enough neighbours. So, in her frustration she goes and scratches his car. Oblivious to her, he owns his own security firm, and he has cameras filming his driveway. This action starts a whole heap of events that changes her life altogether. Simon Fox is not a man that takes things lying down easily and Kay soon finds out how far the man will go to get his revenge and the only Allie she has is her friend Claire.
Thank you Boldwood Book for a copy of The Feud by Gemma Rogers. This is my first book from the author, and it won’t be my last.
I really enjoyed The Feud. This is a great page turner and unputdownable thriller by Gemma Rogers. It was different to what I was expecting to be honest as I have not read her previous books. I felt a bit sorry for the main character Kay. Everyone seem to be against her, especially her soon to be ex husband Jonathon. But I did think she drank too much with resulted on some of the predicament she was in. But some of the things she was doing was only to provide a better life for her children. 4 stars from me.

Thanks to Netgalley for ARC in exchange for honest feedback.

I have read the book by this author first time and I enjoyed it.
Kay has recently separated from her cheating husband Jonathan and , is going through lot in her personal and professional life. Personally she has to take care of all the home stuff as a single parents , high school twins . Professionally, she works with the team of frat boys or old school men(just my opinion) who do not leave any opportunity to make sexual comments about her attire or her personal life.

In addition to all this chaos , she has to deal with Simon Fox who is cunning and does not like to lose.
How Kat deals with all the issues in her life forms the story.

Its fast paces and interesting although at some places I did feel its bit stretched out. Still a worth read.

Kay recently split up with husband Jonathan, working hard on a promotion to buy out the family home for the twins.

On the way home Kay has road rage with smug Simon Fox and as revenge keys his precious Jaguar. This leads to revenge goes wrong as Simon is fully aware who is responsible and will not stop until Kay is firmly put back in her place!

This had me reeled in from the first chapter and before I knew it I was half way though, WOW so many ways this book could of gone and kept me on the edge of my seat all the way to the end.

I could add a lot more but feel it will spoil it for you so do not delay and pick this fantastic read up.

I absolutely loved this one, my favourite from Gemma so far.

Brilliant ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The second book I've read from Gemma Rogers and this book is as good as the first one.Kay was married to Jonathan for eighteen years but suddenly he tells Kay their marriage is over which leaves Kay devastated. While also trying to save her job Kay is up against it while Jonathan wants her to sell the house which their two children are against,if it was wasn't for best friend Claire she doesn't know what she'd do.As Kay is up against a nasty man called Simon Fox who she had a run into with when she was driving home one day,and he not pleased at all when his car Is scratched and goes gunning for Kay because he believes Kay was responsible. With plenty going on to keep interested this really is a great book, and I think Gemma Rogers is a writer to follow. The Feud is a great book which will keep you turning the pages until the final chapter.A gripping 5 star thriller.

Kay is separated from her husband Jonathan and is bringing up her 16 year old twins alone. She works in a predominantly male environment and is banking on a promotion to keep her afloat as a single parent.
On the way home from picking up the twins from school, something happens and her reaction to the incident brings changes and issues into her life which she just did not foresee.
This book had me drawn in from the very first page. It was full of action and suspense that kept me up late as I couldn't put it down.
I've read all of Gemma's books but I think this one was her best one yet and one of the best books I've read this year!
