When veterinarian Goldie McKenzie breaks up with her long time boyfriend she craves a change in scenery. When an online friend places his small town veterinarian practice up for sale Goldie decides to give purchasing the practice a trial run and she makes the temporary move from California to Blue Dog Valley, Wisconsin.

After a rough start of arriving ill-equipped for Wisconsin weather, the towns people negative attitude towards newcomers and clashing with local man, Cohen, Goldie tries out small time life. Along the way, Goldie befriends a hairless cat that she names Airport, a lovable sheepdog named Kevin and many of the town folks. I loved reading this story and couldn't wait to find out if Goldie would find what she was looking for in Blue Dog Valley.

It’s hot. The world is stressful. What could be better right now than a feel-good Christmas story! Goldie moves from L.A. to Blue Dog Valley in Minnesota. She’s taking over for the retiring town veterinarian, but locals don’t care much for outsiders. You know how it goes.

This was such an enjoyable read. It’s All Creatures Great and Small wrapped up with a Hallmark movie. The people of Blue Dog Valley sure are characters. You’ll be rooting for Goldie and all of them to put on a successful Christmas festival to help a dying town. This is a fun story with not a lot of stress or conflict. And there are lots of adorable animals.

It comes out next month on September 20. Thank you to Avon, HarperCollins, and NetGalley for my copy.

This is the story of Goldie McKenzie, who is a Veterinarian makes her way from California to Blue Dog Valley a small town in Wisconsin. It shows how she manages to fit in a small town. It is a slow start but she does get there. Cohen helps her by letting her know that once people get to know her , she may or may not fit in. See what happens.. Does she buy the practice or go back to the city.

Not my normal genre, but I'm a sucker for books with dogs on the cover 🐕 and this was a cute read. Enjoyable for Christmas in July!

Another feel good, heartwarming and thoroughly enjoyable book by Annie England Noblin! Noblin's human & animal characters are always so lovable and the reader is always rooting for the best for all of them. I actually see this book as a springboard for a series!
