I have often felt that books speak to me, or rather they call to me, not unlike cursed Aztec gold. Unfortunately they do not help me to answer questions but they are a great way to pass the time. Now, Josie on the other hand, the intrepid librarian and truth teller witch has a rare gift and an even rarer relationship with books. Ms. Sanders does a superb job of giving not only Josie but all of the characters a sense of depth. From Josie's need to see justice done, Roz and her romantic side, Lyndon the plant whisperer, Sam with his confounding facial habit, and all of the unique town's folk. Speaking of the locals, they are not only beside themselves, but also star struck that THE Daphne wants to interview Roz aka about her romance novel. Daphne is a bit much to take, everyone and I do mean everyone is falling over themselves to be near her. Okay, maybe not her staff and not Roz or Josie (who have their own yet similar reasons). Maybe it is this over the top and slightly saccharine personality that causes the angst, angst that leads to murder and a variety of suspects. I was guessing constantly and reformulating my theory as to who did the deed. I also applaud Josie for her wise choices when faced with temptation. Speaking of something tempting, those potato pancakes sounded so tempting that they are my pairing choice for this book, since I am not a big fan of peach Shnapps and a Cutie Cocktail just sounded way to sweet and cloying, not unlike the infamous actress Daphne. Is someone out to get her or is it all drama?
I have often heard that authors are given three book contracts, and while this one ended in such a way that it could leave it there, I would REALLY like to visit Josie and the Wildredians again, very soon!

The worst part about receiving the ARC for this is that I have to wait longer for another installment. I love the series and this was another great entry. It’s cozy but not cutesy or saccharine. I loved the engagement of the books in this installment and the further development of Josie’s magic. As well, the slow pace of the developing romance of our main characters is nice too. Loved it!

This book has a great paranormal / cozy mystery story.
It grabbed me from the first page and did not let me go.
Great characters and an interesting paranormal cozy whodunit.
I cannot wait to read the next book in the series.
I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

This was my first time reading a book by Angela Sanders and my first book in this series. I definitely feel like I should have read the other books first, you're kind of plopped into the middle of their lives and little back story is given.

But what a FUN idea for a witch!! Overall, the story felt rushed at the end and the climax didn't feel plausible, but the characters are such fun, that it's easy to see past it. I can't wait to read the next one!

Thank you Netgalley, for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All opinions expressed are mine and mine alone.

Small Town Wilfred Oregon"s victorian mansion public library now has the perfect librarian. Josie Way is a witch whose magic connects her to the books enabling her to find the perfect book for every patron. When Josie's romance writer assistant's latest work is chosen by a glamorous movie star for her book club pick it brings the star and her entourage and a heap of drama to town. First come death threats then an actual murder and it's up to Josie to help catch the criminal and save her friend, her formerly peaceful small town and her own peace of mind.

Third book in the Witch Way Librarian series, this was the best in the series so far for me. Our heroine has begun to not only have control over her powers but now enjoys using them. The fleshing out of characters throughout the series has also made them more endearing, almost like revisiting old friends and family you haven't seen for a bit. Iread this start to finish in one sitting not able to put it down. I am a solid fan of the series now and anxiously await the next installment.

I gave this book 5 stars on good reads

I received this book free from #netgalley for a fair and honest review.

Set in a town in Oregon, a witchy librarian, her cat and a cast of characters populate the book.
A celebrity is coming to interview the librarian and before long there is a murder.
It is fun to read and discover how it all turns out

Yet another delightful installment in the mystery series featuring Josie, a Librarian who recently learned she comes from a long line of witches. In this book, a movie star comes to town to film a book club with a local writer and a murder takes place that is eerily similar to the book club book. I was SURE that I had figured out the identity of the murderer about half way through but had absolutely no clue. This was a stay-up-past-my-bedtime book because I just REALLY wanted to know who-done-it.

I absolutely loved the setting of this cozy crime novel: and the mystery in the centre of it was great fun to unwind.

I’ve really loved this series so far and this was another awesome book.

Josie is a librarian in Oregon and is starting to settle a bit into her recently discovers powers as a witch. Josie’s writer friend, Roz, is being interviewed as part a famous A-lister Daphne Morris’s book club. When there’s a murder that closely follows the storyline of Roz’s book, Josie can smell a setup from a mile away.

I looked the mystery, with its red herrings and Josie using her skills to help solve the murder. I really enjoyed watching her continue to grow and discover who she is and how she can use her powers for good. While it was realistic, I did think the jealousy everyone had for Daphne and the fact that all the men were acting like they were half in love with her was over the top. I absolutely love Josie’s cat familiar, Rodney, who acts like a partner to Josie.

I hope we get more books in this series! Thanks to Netgalley for an advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

This is such a cute series. I absolutely love the interplay of being a witch and a librarian! Imagine having magical powers to make the perfect book recommendation, etc. In this one, a celebrity has picked a local author's book for her book club and is coming to town to interview her. The celebrity's personal chef is murdered in a scene similar to one in the author's book, setting her up as a suspect. Witch librarian to the rescue! I enjoyed the mystery.

Truly, I really enjoy this series. It's just a bit of fantasy with the. mystery. Sanders manages to keep me guessing, which is not always the case with a cozy mystery!

This book is definitely the best in the series. The mystery was good and complex. The amount of times they mention the town they live in has finally decreased to a mild annoying amount. (In book one it dropped the town’s name roughly once a page…) Overall I like the concept of a witch librarian and the magic is cool but the execution falls just a little flat.

Witch and Famous is the third book in the awesome Witch Way Librarian series. Once again this one is a hit. The main character Josie must help solve a crime in the small Oregon town of Wilfred, this time, a visiting movie star is the center of the plot. Her witchy instincts kick in and with the help of her books and her faithful feline Rodney, she begins uncovering the truth. The setting is great, the small town of Wilfred is strange yet very cool. The characters are well-written and the mystery is solid. You will be left guessing until the end. This has quickly become my favorite cozy mystery series of all time. Fantastic writing with wonderful characters.

Josie Way is a librarian in the small town of Wilfred, Oregon. She is a newcomer to the town and a newcomer to the family witchcraft she has inherited, a witch compelled to seek justice. A romance title by her friend and assistant librarian, Roz, has been chosen by a well-known actress, Daphne Morris for her book club. This is greeted with great fanfare by the townspeople, but the people who come with Daphne have secrets and one of them is murdered in a way that suggests Daphne might have been the target. Most of the guests have some resentment toward their boss. Then there is another murder and Josie finds herself at odds with Sam, the sheriff and her unrequited love interest. This is the third book in the series and by bringing in so many new visiting characters I did not learn much new of the previous characters which I would have enjoyed. This is still a fun read. Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for an advance copy in exchange for an honest review

Witch and Famous by Angela M. Sanders (Witch Way Librarian Mystery #3) 4 stars

Josie Way is a fledgling witch and head librarian in Wilfred, Oregon. Everybody is excited that local writer, Roz is going to be interviewed by Daphne Morris (A-Lister movie star) for her celebrity Book Club. Locals are gathering at the library for the local news and because the local watering hole is temporarily closed. Daphne Morris is larger than life and put the capital D in diva. When she starts to captivate the local male population, feathers are ruffled. Roz is especially irritated because her boyfriend is star struck by Daphne. What really sets the cat among the birds is the death of Daphne’s personal chef and its striking similarity to a scene in Roz’s book. Roz is the number one suspect and if Daphne doesn’t find the real culprit her friend may be framed for murder.

Josie has progressed since her first introduction in “Bait and Witch”. She is practicing her witchcraft through detailed notes left by her grandmother; her affinity to the book voices has increased. There is one scene where the books are flying and dancing in the library that evokes the Sorcerer’s Apprentice (in a good way). I really like the relationship between Josie and Sam, but there might be competition for Sam in another character that was introduced in this book. The list of who didn’t like Daphne was very long, Josie had too many suspects to count. I was zeroing in on one suspect when the suspect was eliminated (literally). I enjoyed the book and hope that there will be more.

Thank you Netgalley and Kensington Books for this ARC.

This was a cute and cozy murder mystery. I enjoyed the antics all the townspeople got up to, and the FMC's bibliomancy powers was a really cute manifestation of magic. Since I didn't read the other books in the series, I was a little lost in the setting, but the author does a good job of fleshing out the characters and the world, so this could definitely be read as a standalone. My main issue with this book was the extreme jealousy the female characters have of the gorgeous new movie star that's come into town. But besides the quite juvenile recriminations, the book was an overall fun read.

I absolutely loved the witchcraft in this series, it was so cutesy. The idea of a witch being able to provide the ~perfect book recs or being able to talk to books or make them dance is soooo adorable. Only on one note, this does seem to be quite the invasion of privacy at times (aka in the beginning of the book when she recommends a pregnancy book to some woman who just found out about her daughter's pregnancy and has not publicly announced it yet). But overall, these bookish skills are able to help Josie investigate the murders.

I really enjoyed the execution of the murder mystery as well. There were clues woven in throughout the book with red herrings and such sprinkled throughout. The solution just fit the entire saga perfectly, although it did seem a tad rushed at the end.

As I said, the main issue I found with the book was how jealous the females were of Daphne. And while yes, Daphne shouldn't be encouraging the advances of cuffed men (and by encouraging all she really does is smile), is it really her fault that all these people are drawn to her? As a famous and beautiful star, she has this natural charisma, as Josie points out, and the supposed infidelity of the males of the town are by no means her fault? Especially when she turns her head towards Sam, technically Josie and him are literally just friends, so it doesn't really justify angry jealous behavior.

Also there was a big dumb-dumb on Josie's part like c'mon everyone knows you do NOT just leave magical potions (especially when they're repackaged into a normal beverage bottle) just lying around willy-nilly particularly in a COMMUNAL kitchen. But I suppose it all ends well in the end, I was still quite frustrated bc it was quite irresponsible of her.

Overall, I found this to be a cute and cozy read, and a very fun murder mystery!

I love the idea of a library in an old house. Although the idea of folks just hanging out in the kitchen causing issues annoyed me. The mystery kept me guessing and I look forward to more in the series. Is she going to get her man?
