Cat and Gilley are back in the middle of a murder investigation after one of Cat's clients turns up dead hours after she cut her entire family off from her money...There is no end to the number of suspects that wanted Scarlet dead, and because Cat and Gilley were two of the last people to see her alive, they are on the list of suspects. Even though Cats cop boyfriend Shephard knows they are at the bottom of the suspect list, they aren't allowed to leave, which means... for them to make their European vacation, they are going to have to solve the murder themselves...

This is another great mystery where as soon as you think you know who did it we get a new piece of information that flips everything around and make you take a second look at all the suspects... Is this person too good a suspect? is it the person I would least suspect?

I can't wait to see what kind of shenanigans Cat and Gilley will get up to next!

This was the fourth Life Coach Mystery starring former marketing-executive-turned- divorcée life coach, Cat Cooper and her saucy BFF. Cat and Gilley are great team at most everything they do. Gilley's marriage is over and she needs a get away. First though they have to solve a murder involving a wealthy family all looking for money when the matriarch is killed.

A Cat & Gilley Life Coach Mystery, it is number four in the series and it is Fantastic!!!! Everyone loves Cat and Gilley and the mysteries they find themselves deeply involved with. This time the mystery had me going the whole the time, so many options for the murderer. New dynamics with Cat and Shep just to up the intrigue. All the characters are engaging, the storyline is not easily predictable and we are left with an curious little cliff hanger. Absolutely love Cat & Gilley.

Cat Cooper and her campy sidekick are getting ready for a European vacation when their plans are scuttled by the suspicious death of Cat's latest life coaching client, a wealthy woman whose family take advantage of her generosity.

They can't help getting involved, if only to speed up the investigation and avoid messing up their travel plans. They're a fun and generous pair, definitely over the top, and in this book they are matched with plenty of equally overdone characters.

It's a lively story with lots of likely suspects and many twists and turns.

While I am missing the heck out of Abby and the Psychic Eye series, I've grown to love her sister Cat and ESPECIALLY Gilley. While it's part of a series, you can easily read this as a standalone. That said, this one had a bit too many characters for me to follow, I lost a bit of interest. While I knew exactly who did it from the moment they were introduced, this is still an engaging read, worth picking up.

Thank you Netgalley, for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All opinions expressed are mine and mine alone.

Cat and Gilley return for another hair-raising adventure/mystery/murder case. Gilley is trying to move on from his divorce, so Cat plans a trip-but as always, someone gets murdered. Cat, while always well-meaning, pushes her boyfriend and police detective a bit too far in this story, so the cliff-hanger at the end is almost as surprising as finding out who-dun-it. Looking forward to the next one!

Victoria Laurie has written yet another funny, at times poignant, entry in her "Cat and Gilley" series. As always, the mystery is solid with an abundance of plausible red herrings sprinkled throughout. The big draw for this reader is always Laurie's characters...human with enough flaws to make me care about them while reading and think about them even after the book is finished. As a huge fan of the Psychic Eye series featuring Cat's sister, Abby, the couple of references to her made me smile (and long for more in that series too!) A recommended read!

The main gist of the story will give you many suspects for the murder of the matriach of a money-grubbing family.
If you pay attention, the author gives you a tiny clue as to who the culprit is. I have been a reader of Victoria Laurie's various series for a long time. I don't like the direction that this one is going. Gilley is put in a bad place again. But mostly it is the character of Cat. While she just made an appearance in the life of her sister
Abby, she was a nicer person. She has progressed to become a harpy. She seems to be very judgmental and have a lofty opinion of herself. I flat out did not like her in this book. I really hope in future books she will be toned down some.

Such a great book! Each one gets better and better. I've read most of Victoria Laurie's books and this is my favorite series. I thought I might miss the psychic or supernatural elements the other books have but Cat and Gilley are just so much fun.

I loved it! I pre-ordered this book many months ago because this is one of my favorite writers. Very good mystery. Cat is such a good person and Gilley is, well, silly and together as friends and a team they are so entertaining. It was a treat hearing how characters from the author's other book series were doing too!

** SPOILERS AHEAD **

In the fourth installment of Victoria Laurie's The Life Coach Mysteries Cat and Gilley find themselves trying to solve the death case of a prolific author, Scarlett Rubi, whom just hired Cat for the life coaches on how to set herself free from her mooching family members.

I think the mystery itself is quite engaging. There's no run out of suspects, for sure, because boy, oh, boy, Scarlett's family members are all despicable human beings. Cat and Gilley don't really solve the case though; the murderer is not someone they consider.

While I like the mystery, I cannot rate this one higher because I really AM not happy with the personal aspect of the story.

** This is where the spoilers are coming, okay. ***

First, Gilley's marriage is kaput. Considering that I was there (as a reader) with Gilley throughout his marriage in the other series, I'm bummed. It's not one I expect to read. Poor Gilley.

Second, I haven't been comfortable or convinced about Cat and Shep for the past three books. I think they have a totally different principles. In here, Cat is trying to "help" Shep with throwing her money around, even if Shep says no. So she basically dismisses his wish; which I think is a stupid move. But Shep's reaction is also ballistic, and he always seems bloody angry about Cat trying to investigate cases. How are THEY going to work?!?

So that ending? Yeah... NOT my favorite kind. I think it's a mistake. I wish Laurie writes another man for Cat somewhere in the next books. Because I think the foundation of Cat and Shep's relationship is really fragile and I can't, for the life of me, want them to end up together.

Cat is a life coach and Scarlet Rubi, a wealthy author is her newest client. Scarlet needs advice on how to distance herself from her ungrateful sister, children, and grandchildren who all have been sponging off her for years. After Scarlet informs her family of her intentions to give them the homes she bought them and nothing else, she is murdered the very next day. Cat and her hilarious BFF Gilley investigate to help find the guilty culprit. This was a very good book. Good plot twists, lots of suspects. This is the fourth book in the series but could read as a stand alone. I'm looking forward to the next book in this series. Thank you for the advance copy Netgalley!

Catherine Cooper a life coach in the Hamptons. Cat & Gilley are always up to some fun antics. Gilley's divorce is final and his ex Michel wants to pick up his belongings from their house. Cat comes up with an idea of a European excursion to distract Gilley. Right before their trip, Cat has a last minute client, Scarlet Rubi. A famous author who has a family who takes total advantage of her. Then she's found dead. Cat & Gilley decide to help Shep investigate the crime.

I'm a big fan of author Victoria Laurie I've read almost all of her books. I was so excited to see book four of the Life Coach series. I was kept guessing until the ending and loved the cliffhanger. Now I can't wait for book 5. 😁😉

A big thank you to NetGalley and Kensington Books for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is part of a series, but reads well as a stand alone. I really like the characters. Cat is amazing-and Gilley is just a fun person. Who wouldn't want a friend like Gilley or Cat? I don't quite get Cat's relationship with Steve. There doesn't seem to be a ton of chemistry there but who am I to judge? Really liked Scarlet. It was an interesting mystery-so different. Didn't really expect the cliffhanger. Still well worth the read. 4 stars. I would recommend to anyone who enjoys cozy mysteries.

Cat and her side kick are at it again. Fun series, and this book was no exception. Highly recommend this book and author. Kept expecting her to talk to ghosts, but never happened. Bummer. Still fun cozy mystery.

Cat and Gilley are back with another great murder mystery. Couldn’t put it down and devoured it in one setting.

Scarlet Rubi is a super rich romance writer who comes to Cat for life advice then ends u being murdered. With a greedy selfish family there is no lack of suspect’s.

Grabbing it and without looking back at Gilley, I made a swirling motion with my index finger and said, “Saddle up, Gil, and let’s ride.”

Gilley is more like his old self which I absolutely love.

“As God is my witness,” Gil said, holding up his palm and donning a thick Southern drawl. “I’d slap my mama for a tall drink ah fire retardant!”

Your killing me with these cliffhangers.

Laugh out loud fun and a mystery that will keep you guessing until the very end.

Victoria Laurie has done it again. A masterpiece!

Coached Red-Handed finds Gilley miserable over the ending of his marriage. So, Cat decides they need to get away to the riviera to escape.

However, before they go they have to help a new client Scarlet Rubi put some distance between herself and her toxic money-hungry descendants. The problem is that someone kills Scarlet and they have to figure out who is the killer before they can even consider leaving on their tip.

Great mystery!!

Cat and Gilley are at it again! Laurie's fourth book in the Life Coach series is wicked fun, though readers would do best to start with book 1 if they haven't read the rest of the series. Cat's relationship with Shepherd feels like it is on the rocks, and Gilley is broken hearted about his divorce from his husband. To avoid a meeting with Michel, Cat plans a European vacation, but has a quick client first before leaving. Of course Cat's best advice seems to turn sour when her client is murdered after a family confrontation. Cat and Gilley are suspects as the last ones to see the deceased alive (aside from the murderer), so they start their usual independent investigation into the crime. Tears and hijinks ensue, but then things start to turn dangerous.

I just love Laurie's characters. Cat and Gilley may be a bit over the top at times, but they have great hearts and are fun to root for. I adore how Cat is growing in many ways in this novel, just like Abby did though her series.
