This book has three short stories. The first was definitely the best in my opinion. It was a quick, easy read.

The Wishing quilt was such an amazing book.
Truly an inspiring book that any & everyone can relate too.
Dreams are what you make of them… Don’t be afraid to wish.
The Secret Wish by Jodi Thomas was extraordinary.
I don’t know how she does it, but every town she writes about, I want to go live there and find my Happy- Ever-After.

Wish Upon A Wedding by Lori Wilde had such a unique plot, truly loved this book of summer days and even hotter summer nights.

When You Wish Upon A Quilt by Patience Griffen- Unlucky in love stories can sometimes, bring the most rewarding outcomes.

I highly recommend this book to all book lover who love happy books with a bit of excitement intertwined!!

There are three stories in this book.
#1 The secret wish-Avery is a young woman down on her luck. She had been a professional ballerina and was injured from a fall from a stage that ended her career. Her great grandmother had willed to her a quilting store and home when she passed. Stipulated she needed to run the shop for one year to complete the inheritance. The store is much in need of repair. Sheriff Dan is a good love interest. Suspense from the shadow that visits the shop every night and feeds the stay cat. Lovely story and characters.
#2 Wish Upon a wedding-Dr. Ellie Winter returns to her hometown for her sister’s bridal quilting bee shower. The man she loved and lost from high school turns out to own the ranch the shower is to be held at. Her grandmother is newly diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and the quilt is being made for a memory quilt for her. Romance abounds. Very warm romance.
#3When you wish upon a quilt-Paige Holiday is a young woman from Alaska. She is a professional quilter with ambition to design her own fabrics. She comes from a family of women that are unlucky in love. Burned in romance by a man the year before she is shy to have any romantic attractions. She travels to Texas for a quilting marketing show to purchase fabric for her friends quilt store and to find a company to buy her design ideas. Enter a very attractive Cowboy that falls head over heels for her. His sister that wants to part of him hooking up with Paige and wonderful quilters that offer lots of emotional support. Very good quick read.

I received an arc from NetGalley and this is my honest opinion.
Three beautiful stories of finding true love. I have to say my favorite story was Holt and Paige’s story. Paige had many trust issues from a past relationship so she is very cautious of Holt when she meets him.
Great read and one I would recommend.

The Wishing Quilt" is an anthology of three stories connected by the theme of quilting. Overall it was an okay read. I enjoyed the first story best out of all three. Overall it was a 2.75 stars for me. Jodi Thomas's story was a quick read which I enjoyed most. Lori Foster's story I didn't really enjoy and stopped reading midway through. The third story written by Patience Griffin was okay

will read anything by Jodi Thomas and Lori Wilde so I was excited to see this anthology. I don't quilt but loved reading about how the quilts were made in each story. I liked to see that a man made a quilt square in one of the stories. I would recommend this if you like short stories, small town romances, and family stories.
Thanks to netgalley for the opportunity to read this book .

4 stars

An entertaining read. I like quilting so the title attracted to me. Three contemporary stories. The first our heroine inherits a quilt shop and is attracted to the local sherif goes a bit dark towards the end before the HEA. The second heroine sets up a quilting bee for her grandmother at her sisters hen night. Findds that she knows the hotellier. The third story has a heroine who hasn't found a worthy man, in fact her previous man friend stole her designs meets the hero at a quilt conference.

An entertaining read.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

A lovely, enjoyable read, “The Wishing Quilt” (Kensington Books, Zebra) is a collection of three novellas by Jodi Thomas, Lori Wilde and Patience Griffin, with interesting storylines and characters.
All stories are pleasurable to read, each creates their own unique universe about quilting and how quilts tell stories.
In every novella the supporting characters bring depth and substance to the stories and main characters.
I liked some aspects of ‘The Secret Wish’ (Jodi Thomas), its whimsical tone, and the story in general, but found there was little development to the characters and too much telling. Also the dialogue sometimes felt contrived.
‘Wish upon a Wedding’ (Lori Wilde) with its “I’ve loved you for years” trope, the protagonists both afraid and with trust issues but yet still so deeply connected, is a really cute, fun and heartwarming read. It was great to watch Dalton and Ellie’s "long-held dreams" come true.
The characters and plot in ‘When you Wish upon a Quilt’ (Patience Griffin) are also very cute and the heroine’s issues compelling. The handsome and gallant cowboy falling head over heels for the heroine still recovering from disagreeable experiences is captivating. I loved watching Paige trying to resist the attraction for Holt and found both characters very sweet.

This is a charming collection of novellas centered around a quilting theme, each one from a different aspect of quilting. Jodi Thomas' contribution centers around a quilt shop in a small Texas town that has been closed upon the death of the owner. The young lady who inherits it, sees it as a last chance and reopens the shop. The results are a community forming around the shop. Lori Wilde uses the quilting bee as the basis for her story about women coming together to support each other and continuing a tradition. Patience Griffin's story gives a view into the business side of quilting. The main character is a quilt designer and instructor of quilt workshops. The setting is an international quilt festival. There is dark side-someone stealing designs, and a light side-support of friends and other quilting people. Readers of romance will enjoy these stories, as will quilters.

When I started this book, I didn't realize it was three short stories - that's how much I love books by Jodi Thomas! One day while working I was looking forward to seeing what was going to happen with Avery and Daniel, and then the short story was done! But it's all good, because there are two more stories that are just as wonderful centered around quilts, either being made by a grandmother or for a grandmother. In the second story, I was thrilled to see that a man made one of the quilt squares! And in the third story, a man was involved in helping at a quilt booth at quilt shows. Not only are the stories centered around quilts, but around love and adventure, too. I'm glad to have read another jodi Thomas book, and to have been introduced to authors whose books I've never read before. I highly recommend this book. You won't want to put it down!

The Wishing Quilt, reading the 3 novellas in this collection felt like being a part of a bookclub and everything warm, fun, friendly and definetly swoony one too many times.; except it will be a quilting bee since Quilting is a mainstay in the stories.

love all three of these authors, these are short stories centering around quilts. very quick read, enjoyed it very much.

Three great stories all with a quilt as a main character. Loved all three but Jodie Thomas wrote my favorite. Liked how each story used a quilt in a different way. Look for a quilt shop, a quilting bee, and quilt fabrics each in a different part of the story. Read all in one setting or break them up across several days.

The Wishing Quilt is an entertaining anthology sure to appeal to fans of quilting and contemporary romance.

One of my favorite authors is Jodi Thomas and she was the perfect one to lead off the book. The Secret Wish about a ballet dancer who is looking for a new start after an accident forced her into early retirement. She’s open to a new chapter in life but never saw the local sheriff playing a part in her life.

Wish Upon a Wedding by Lori Wilde is about a young doctor returning home for her sister’s wedding. She will be faced with her past and hopefully learn the truth and the why’s of what made her not want to return to her hometown for thirteen years.

Closing out the collection is When You Wish Upon a Quilt – Patience Griffin’s story of a textile professor attending a quilt show that leads to unexpected introductions and possibly, love.

It was an enjoyable anthology about people piecing together their next chapters in life. Recommended to fans of the anthology format (sometimes it’s the perfect way to read!) and the authors.
