Alexis Montgomery is a sophisticated city girl who comes from a long line of Montgomery doctors. She is carrying around a lot of expectations on her shoulders. Her father is overbearing, her mother goes along and her ex-boyfriend just won’t leave. Then she meets Mega hot carpenter and bed and breakfast and yes, because he doesn't have enough to do mayor as well. She's 37 he is 28 and both are hot-to-trot.

But can they be part of each other's world. Yes, we have seen these tropes before. Older woman younger man, opposites attract. etc. and yet this one had a little magic to it. I enjoyed each character and their witty banter. They had major chemistry and things going on in their own lives. Yet, they were perfect for each other.

I loved hearing/reading their individual voices in their own chapters. This worked nicely in the audiobook and really added to my enjoyment of the book. This was a great audiobook, and I thought the narrators did a great job.

I also loved the dose of overbearing and stuck-in-his-ways father. He was almost a caricature of ridiculousness. These characters are dealing with real issues and their own personal goals. There are also strong supporting characters, a loveable pooch, and some drama through in. I love how she captured the small-town-everyone-know-everybody vibe.

At times, I wanted to yell at Alexis “it’s your life to live – live it lady”

Plus, she throws in some medical emergencies and a character dealing with domestic violence as well.

In case you haven't figured it out...I Loved this book!!! I think you will as well!

This is my first book by Abby Jimenez, and I am kicking myself that I have not read her books sooner! I will be reading her books from now on!!!

Thank you to Hachette Audio, Forever and NetGalley who provided me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All the thoughts and opinions are my own.

It was no surprise to me that I loved this book. Abby Jimenez is such a talented writer, and from someone who reads and loves a lot of books -- these books are truly special. I always enjoy the characters, and the plots are always emotional and full of love. This is an easy five star for me, and I cannot wait to read whatever she comes up with next.

I don’t think I have the proper words for how much I loved this book. Part of Your World is for sure my favorite Abby Jimenez read and that’s saying a lot because Life’s Too Short was SO good.

First off, the narrators were AMAZING. Julia Whelan and Zachary Webber are easily two of my favorite narrators to listen to. They don’t overexaggerate other characters' voices and they truly pull you into the story. I would recommend this audiobook alone based on the narrators but that’s only part of what I loved about this wonderful book.

I really appreciate it when the meet-cute is within the first couple of chapters and we get right into the character’s relationship development. While they start off early on it didn’t feel like insta-love to me. I found the author paced their story so so well that it felt so natural and realistic. Alexis and Daniel’s connection and chemistry were amazing.

I loved the long-distance aspect of this book! It’s not something that I’ve read a ton of before. I really enjoyed how we got the city and small-town vibes in one book. I’m definitely a sucker for a small town romance and this was no exception. I loved the found family aspect of this book and really felt the love and loyalty between the characters and the town as a whole.

I think the author handled serious topics such as abuse in this book well. I also thought the storyline with Alexis’ parents was SUPER interesting. I don’t want to spoil anything but I really appreciated how the author portrayed a father/daughter relationship we don’t often see in books.

Abby Jimenez really knows how to write a romance book AND an exceptional book boyfriend. I mean… I wouldn’t be mad if a small-town mayor/carpenter/bed and breakfast owner/dog and goat dad swept me off my feet and cooked me meals and made me trinkets out of special wood and just LOVED ME. Ok off topic but seriously… the characters just PULLED me into the story. I didn’t want to leave and I had to force myself to stop listening.

Would highly HIGHLY recommend this one to my fellow romance readers! My heart broke multiple times but the author really put her whole heart into putting the readers back together again by the end of this special story. All the stars.

Thank you to NetGalley and Forever for an audio arc in exchange for an honest review.

I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. The first book I have read by author Abby Jimenez, but it won't be my last. Great characters, excellent storyline, and kept me guessing how it would end.

All the heart eyes!
This is my first Abby Jimenez book and it lives up to the hype. Excited to dive into her other books!
Personally don’t love a Sk8er Boi troupe but this was so well done and Daniel is swooony. The characters were lovable (except for villains) and developed so well.
HEA worth the wait. Very good.

I have to say I have loved all of Abby Jimenez's books so far so I had high hopes for this book. Jimenez did not disappoint, she delivered another adorable and heart wrenching romance that I just couldn't put down. I loved the characters in this books and I desperately hope we get more books featuring some of the side characters. This book truly made me feel all the feels. If sweet romances with some of the most loveable characters around is your thing than pick this book up.
Also a side bonus there is a a baby goat in pajamas! How can you say no to a baby goat?

This is my first Abby Jimenez book and I don't know why it took me so long. As this is a review of the audiobook I need to first say how absolutely amazing the narrators are and how much they add to the passion and love in the story.

Julia Whelan has and always will be an audiobook rockstar, if her name is on a book I know I will love it. She perfectly encapsulates Alexis and all the inner turmoil and decisions she must make to find her happiness. Zachary Webber is perfect as Daniel and he helps she why one would so easily fall for Daniel.

I was honestly a little hesitant of this book as I don't always love big age gap romances but it served the story so well and I found myself rooting for Alexis and Daniel.

Overall if you are looking for a cute story with grilled cheese, romance, and baby goats this is the book for you. Any Jimenez fans im sure will love this and I can't wait to pick up more of her books in the future.

Thank you to Hachette Audio, Forever, and Netgalley for my ALC for an honest review.

I had a smile on my face almost the entire time that I was listening to this book! It is adorable. That is the word for it. Alexis Montgomery comes from a wealthy family who have a legacy of being top notch surgeons and their hospital. With this comes expectations, and responsibilities. While driving home from a family funeral, Alexis finds herself in the middle of nowhere and in a ditch. Shortly after, a cute man, Daniel, arrives and offers to pull her car out of the ditch. Little did Alexis know that this moment would change her life forever. Daniel is from a small town, who also has family roots and responsibilities. Their two worlds are drastically different and do not mesh but somehow, they try to be a part of it. The writing was wonderful. The story was witty and swoon worthy. Overall, the read was light, but there were some heavier subjects that were discussed such as abuse. The characters were well developed and grew over time. My heart was happy reading this. It was the exact book I needed. I listened to the 11+ hours in less than three days. I cannot say enough about this book. If you like Emily Henry books, then you will love this one too!

This is why Abby is an autobuy author for me. No one can break me and make me like she can. If i could give this more than 5 stars I would. What a great start to a story I mean who else could turn and incident with a raccoon into an epic love story full of quirk, heartbreak, laughter and some deep and tough subject matter! I just could not put this down even when I was crying my eyes out I didn't stop. An absolutely beautiful story one which I know I'll reread again. A must read for everyone.
The audio version of this had me hooked. I love Zachary Webber I think he has such a great voice and I love the character he brings to all his readings. Julia Whelan was a great Alexis and really brought her character to life. You could feel the emotions these 2 went through as if you were watching them on the screen. As Daniel said in this story Audiobooks are like a movie for the ears and this is so true. I felt like I could have been watching this story play out if front of me. It's the kind of book that would make a great film. A brilliant audiobook

If you know me, you know older women/younger men isn't my trope of choice, but I am so so glad that I went with my gut and tried this one out. Alexis just got out of terrible relationship, her parents are overbearing and her brother just moved across the world. On the day of her great aunt's funeral she gets stuck in a ditch and a country boy saves her.
Daniel lives in a villiage, yes a villiage of just over 1,000 people. He knows everyone and everyone knows him. When a sleek black car is in the ditch on the side of the road, he knows it isn't from around his parts. What he doesn't expect is to come face to face with his soulmate that night.
Alexis is a doctor at one of the world's most renowned hospitals and Daniel is the property manager of a bed and breakfast. He owns a goat, a scruffy dog and lots of hoodies, but he also loves unconditionally. Alexis embarks on an affair with Daniel and hides it from pretty much everyone in her life, he won't fit into her world. Daniel sees Alexis as his everything (and trust me when I say he is literally on of the best book boyfriends out there) and wants her to say yes to a life with him.
I really loved Daniel. I thought he was wise beyond his years and that is why this worked. Alexis was sheltered and hasn't experienced so many of the things that Daniel showed her. They just FIT even if she didn't believe that they did. So many magical things happen when you have found THE ONE, and I had so many heart flutters while reading this story. The narrators were absolutely spot on. They brought this story to life and I never wanted it to end.
Thank you to Abby Jimenez, Hachette, Forever and Netgalley for an early audio copy.

I am not sure I can adequately express how much I love this book. Everything this author writes is amazing. It was funny and sad and surprising. I am so sad I finished it. I can not wait for the next one. The audiobook was so well done too. 1000/5

While I have enjoyed all of her books, Part of Your World might be my favorite book by Abby Jimenez, yet!⁣

⁣The romance of Daniel and Alexis was the perfect combination to Jimenez’s gift of tackling big issues in a relatable and impactful way.
⁣

This book covered family ties and the issues that can bring, money judgement and stereotypes, friendship, building a life you love, generosity, and abuse- both physical and emotional. ⁣
⁣

The addition of a bunch of adorable farm animals, one irresistible dog, a hysterical and amazing best friend, and both main characters learning to know their own worth, made for a fantastic read. ⁣

I alternated reading and listening to this book on audio and loved the two narrators who helped bring this amazing story to life.

Thank you to Forever, Grand Central Publishing and Hachette Audio for my review copies.

I’m a bit disappointed in Abby’s latest, Part of Your World. It’s definitely not a bad book and I think many readers will enjoy it, but I feel like I’ve read this book before (for example, Virgin River). I knew exactly how the plot would unfold very early on. I did love the male MC in the book and the narration was good, with Julia Whelan & Zachary Webber. Available 4/19!

I just love this listening. It was a pleasant surprise and not a prank for my April 1st. Thank you Hachette Audio and Netgalley for this audio.

It was my first book by the author but certenly not the last. I loved the athmosfere and almost all the characters. The narrators added something special to the book.

I hope I can say it started with one night stand but developed in something more. Something unique and something everyone should have or should be searching for.

After delusion in love it is hard to start over and also scary but I belive when it is right time is the right time. And older you are sooner after the conection you know what you can expect.

I loved the an who read here so much. And how tjry talked forever without knowing what the last name was or the proffesiom. It was pure ans simple till she decided something not so nice. But I can not tell, it is a lovely story and every romance lover should read.

Even the second time around this book was still everything!! This was another emotionally heavy hitter, that the author is known for and I can't get enough. Great on audio with two narrators, one of which is Julia Whelan!!

This story features a reverse age gap romance between Alexis, an elite ER surgeon (heir to a world-renowned Medical family ala Meredith Grey from Grey's Anatomy) and Daniel, a younger small town Inn keeper who rescues her one night when she ditches her car.

The sparks between these two fly off the page but Alexis knows any relationship between them would be doomed. They are from completely different worlds and have deep ties to their respective towns. However, Alexis cannot resist Daniel's charm or the magic of the town that seems to keep pushing them together.

As always though, there is a seemingly insurmountable obstacle to a HEA for these two. I spent most of the book wanting to shake Alexis and tell her to do what makes her happy. She is so tied up with her family expectations and obligations she doesn't see a way out (think First love, take two).

This book will make you LAUGH and CRY and is for anyone who loves some Disney magic or the movies The princess bride or Doc Holiday. I cannot recommend this one enough and am SOO grateful for my early access to what I'm sure will be a new favorite for Abby Jimenez fans.

HIGHLIGHTS:
-small town charm
-magical realism
-adorable animal cameos (including a baby kid and a pot-bellied pig)
-the most hilarious Right light scene ever imagined!
-amazing BFFs (get excited for Bri's story coming in 2023!)

CW: emotional and physical abuse by intimate partners, gaslighting by family members, toxic friendships, mental illness and depression
