Bailey has a special blanket that was given to him as a baby. However, as he gets older, the blanket is becoming threadbare and its becoming more and more difficult to take the blanket everywhere Bailey goes. So dad must be creative and figure out how to repurpose the blanket so it can stick with Bailey as he grows. This is a precious story and I love the bond between the child, blanket, and parents.

This is a cute story about a blanket with a warm and refreshing ending. I love that the father sewed. Definitely purchase.

This is a sweet story of a child who is attached to his security blanket. When the blanket is destroyed, the father turns it into something that can be used for years to come. The pictures are charming, and the story is good for children of all ages.

Every kid has something that they are connected to, whether it's a stuffed animal or a blanket. This is a cute story with wonderful illustrations that all kids will enjoy reading.

Oh boy, baby Bailey finds his BFF from the get-go! Bailey is tiny, in need of some warmth, and Blanket is a soft, cozy cover. They are a match made in heaven.
Everywhere Bailey goes he takes his best buddy with him. They are inseparable.
One day the family goes down to the lake for a picnic. Suddenly a dog snatches Blanket and tears off with it. Bailey frantically tries to rescue his beloved friend and a tug-of-war ensues leaving Blanket in shreds on the ground. Bailey is emotionally crushed. He gathers up the tattered pieces and they head home.
That night poor Bailey lay face down on his pillow crying, lonely and sad. Dad seeing his son's anguish makes a plan that he knows will bring back his son's happiness. Can you guess what that plan might be?
This heartfelt story with its lovely detailed illustrations is a story of love, caring, security, resilience and cleverness. Kids will relate to this familiar theme whether they have a special relationship with a blanket or a specific toy that they love. I like that the book features diverse characters. I highly recommend "Bailey and Blanket."

Bailey's blanket has been a loyal friend all through the years. A faithful companion on all sorts of adventures, Blanket is there for whatever Bailey needs. But when misadventure befalls Blanket, how will their friendship survive?
This is such a beautiful story about a child and their favorite comfort object. It's also a great lesson in resilience and how love doesn't have to go away even if circumstances change. The story is full of lovely expressive language and vivid imagery that will capture kids' imaginations. The illustrations are fantastic as well--full of gorgeous color and detail. This would make a great circle time read for pre-K and would also make a lovely wind-down book both at school and at home!
Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review!

This is a sweet story about a little girl and her bond with her blanket. Bailey plays with Blanket every day and the two are inseparable, until one day Blanket seems to meet an unfortunate end. Bailey is crushed, but her dad rescues what he can of Blanket and saves the day.
My 4-year-old twins were somewhat horrified when they saw Bailey’s blanket destroyed, imagining their own blankies meeting a similar fate! They were happy when Bailey was reunited with a new version of Blanket at the end.

Bailey is a happy child who loves playing pirates AND having tea parties, but most of all, Bailey loves Blanket. Blanket has always just been there to provide comfort and companionship through all manner of activities until one day . . . the unthinkable happens.
Luckily, Dad comes to the rescue, and, Blanket can continue being part of this cozy, loving family.
This is a sweet, heartwarming story with homey illustrations by the author.

Fantastic! I love that the father is the hero in this book, and that it celebrates the relationship between him and his kiddo. AND he becomes the hero through a sewing project, which is lovely. This is a short book but a really wonderful story and something I think all kids will relate to.

Love, warmth and security. That’s what special blankets mean to their tiny owners. Bailey’s parents gift him with a soft coral colored blanket when he is born and it becomes his constant companion. It accompanies him on all his adventures, real and imagined, until one day when something sad happens. A dog runs away with the blanket and rips it to shreds. But Bailey’s father makes a special gift for him and all is well.
This charming, beautifully written and illustrated by Emily House will be a delightful, comforting story for young children, whether they rely on blankets, stuffed toys or dolls. 5 stars.

Bailey and Blanket is the touching picture book story of a child and their special security blanket. As Bailey grows, blanket joins on many adventures, until one tragic day Blanket gets ripped and shredded to pieces. Luckily Bailey's dad uses this as an opportunity to repurpose blanket into something new that Bailey can definitely use on the many adventures to come. Many children have a special object or toy that goes with the everywhere and the transition from needing this object to get through the day to a point where it is left behind or needed less often can be a challenging time for young children. I think this book shows that it is totally ok to have a favourite toy or belonging and that even if something bad were to happen, you would be ok without it, but it's also ok to treasure it forever, no matter how old you (or the object) get. I would recommend this book to parents and preschool teachers of children in the 3-6 age range, especially those who are dealing with the transition period I described above. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this sweet book!

A cute story of a girl, her blanket, a terrible incident, and a dad's ingenuity! I thought it was a sweet story and that the illustrations were very fun.

A sweet story of a father repurposing a child's special security blanket after it has an unfortunate accident. Features diverse characters, relatable narrative, and great illustrations.

This is an adorable children’s book following a boy named Bailey who has a blanket that he loves. He’s had the blanket since he was a baby, and it’s with him through lots of things in his life, Then something happens to his blanket and he and his parents have to figure out what they’re going to do.
This was a really cute book, and I loved what the father decided to do after what happened to the blanket. There were so many cute family moments and uses for the blanket, and I could feel the love the family had for each other.

Bailey and Blanket is a cute and sweet story about a child and their special blanket. While the family is at the beach, a dog snatches the blanket. Bailey chases the dog and gets the blanket back but in shreds. Bailey is extremely upset but dad has an idea. This story will resonate with children who may have a special blanket or maybe even a special toy. One thing that I particularly like about this story is that both mom and dad are their to comfort their child. House's art does a magnificent job of helping to tell the story.
