I adored Jade so much! And Maverick, too, but she was just what this series needed. She’s familiar, thanks to being Cybil’s best friend, and she needs a fresh start. And with that start, she’s not looking for anything fun or exciting or spontaneous. Oh, no. She only wants to focus on rebuilding her life into something new. With her best friend by her side, what could possibly go wrong? Apparently, a lot could! Wrenches are thrown into plans, emotions that feel a lot like love emerge, and now it’s a question of whether or not Jade and Maverick want the same things in life, or if they’re better off as friends.

Jade made me feel so much for her. Her worries, her joy, her heartache, her insecurities, and her love. She took the ruins of her old life, as well as a few new ashes scattered on top thanks to a chance she almost took, and did her best to figure out how to attain her new dream. It helped that Maverick, Mr. I’m Not Into Relationships, couldn’t stay away. And he tried. Sort of. Thanks to his best friends, he always had an idea of where to head when he just couldn’t remain apart from Jade or her heart any longer. And I couldn’t even be that angry at Maverick for his dumb acts because he was feeling his way along this new path, too. Yes, he messed up. But sometimes, it takes messing up to face what is truly wanted in life. So once his head was on straight, Maverick made no delays in sharing his every intent and wish with Jade.

This series has delivered stories that I absolutely loved and didn’t even know I needed. Sure, we have the attraction and family by choice bonds that I’ve come to expect from this author, but we had so much more than that also. She gave stories that assure readers just how talented she is and prove that she’s got plenty of ideas to share with us. Personally, I can’t wait for more of whatever her mind sees fit to provide next!

A truly lovely story to complete this series, which can be read as a stand-alone. Maverick has commitment issues due to being repeatedly left by his mother, and Jade needs a whole new life, both encourage each other and find love along the way. A really good emotional read.

Reckless was everything I adore in a Aurora Rose Reynolds book. Insta- love sort of feels with a sexy hero that loves his woman fiercely. These two had some intense chemistry and I'm sad to see this series end, but I have enjoyed each book about this group of friends.

Aurora Rose Reynolds is one of my auto buy authors, I love how quick and easy her books are to read.

Jade and Maverick's story is probably my favorite of the series and they are probably my favorite couple as well in my opinion.

A modern romance novel that's an easy, engaging read. Readers will be able to connect with the main characters, Jade and Maverick which doesn't happen in most romance books. Definitely recommend this if you're looking for a light-hearted read.

I haven't been reading any romance books lately, but Aurora is one of my one click authors! Usually I can't even get half way before I roll my eyes and stop move on to murder mysteries! But this book was awesome! It didn't have to much of Insta love stuff lol but it did have a great storyline that was funny, had heartache and heartbreak! It was a great read! I loved it!
