Marnie Fairchild owns a successful personal shopping business that she hopes to expand by purchasing the heritage building that once housed a store run by her grandfather. However, a mixup in which she inadvertently switches gifts meant for a Brian Charlesworth’s wife and mistress puts all that in jeopardy. As she scrambles to make things right her plans are interrupted when she meets and falls for Brian’s son.
I had just read a couple of disappointing mystery/thrillers in a row and felt maybe it was time for a change of genre and the description of this book appealed. Yes, it was somewhat formulaic and predictive, but it was just what I needed pull me out of my reading slump.
This is a sweet, fast, light read with interesting and compelling characters. It was a nice change of pace also to have an Australian setting.

I enjoyed this. A cute romance wrapped up in a nice family story. Everything flowed well and I spent a lazy afternoon reading the book. Very cozy.

Marnie is determined to fix the huge- huge- mistake she made when she was distracted by her concerns about her business. She sent a gift meant for Brian's wife Suzanne to his mistress Leona and vice versa. Leaving aside the ethics of that situation, Brian is furious and pulls his business from her but is game for her effort to help repair the rift with Suzanne. Thing is, he has a hot son Luke, a woodworker, and the two of them, well, they begin their own romance. I wanted to tell Luke to get over himself but he eventually realizes his own error. You will root for Marnie, Thanks to netgalley for the ARC. It's a nicely written rom-com and a good read.

4.5 stars.
**SPOILERS**
In the past, I've considered starting my own business as a gift buyer, so this already started as a book that was right up my alley.
Marnie owns a storefront that provides gift-wrapping services and classes, but a large part of her job is as a professional gift buyer. Her clients are (usually wealthy) people who are too busy or not confident in finding meaningful gifts for their family and friends. Marnie's superstar status is largely due to her thorough "stalking" (aka "research") of clients and their loved ones, learning as much as possible about their inclinations, lifestyles, likes, wants, etc. She nails it every time. Then comes the day two packages for the same client, Brian Charlesworth, get mixed up and the cat is out of the bag that he is having an affair. Marnie is up against the wall to keep her business going and reach her goal of buying property she's had her eye on for her new storefront.
When Brian's son, Luke, meets Marnie and learns what her role in the Charlesworth family's life has been, he is irked. He just can't let it go. But as they get to know each other when he asks Marnie for assistance, their common interests and mutual respect for one another lead to a number of adorable interactions.
The ethical side of this as a business was a really interesting piece the author explored. Is it deceptive for Mardie to be the mastermind behind a special gift that is then passed off as chosen by a person close to the giftee? Could it be considered aiding in an extramarital affair if she's to buy and send a gift to a mistress (and is aware that's the relationship)? Darke introduces this as a concern of Luke's and navigates it well. Yes, it provides the conflict needed to further the plot, but also gives Marnie space to ruminate on it and, ultimately, land in a place that she finds to be more in line with her personal values.
One thing I wish Luke had picked Marnie's brain about is how to top a stellar gift the next time around. When you find something that feels absolutely perfect, it can feel like you may never match it again. While that may work for romance, where you hold on to that excellent fit, birthdays come around every year and will you be able to outdo yourself?
Thank you NetGalley and Dell/Penguin Random House for this advanced copy.

Multi-POV rom com. The story was cute and had the feeling of a cozy, lifetime movie- but with some more character gray areas. It was a hair longer than it really needed to be with the depth we got, but it was still a quick summer read and it wrapped up nicely for an overall feel good story. Would make a cute movie

With Love from Wish & Co was a light, easy read but it lacked substance for me.I wish there would have been more character development and was a little less predictable, but sometimes knowing what is going to happen next is exactly what you need in a book. I was attracted to the cover and overall enjoyed the book.

Wish & Company is a store that both chooses and wraps gifts for customers who don't want to do this themselves. I thought this was an interesting premise and it made an great setting for an entertaining romance. When two gifts are mixed up in delivery, an anniversary gift for the wife is given to the mistress and a birthday gift for the mistress is given to the wife, it starts a sequence of events that change the lives of all the main characters. The owner of the store wants to buy a building that once belonged to her family to grow her business and her relationships with the man who bought the mixed up gifts and his son are part of the quest to acquire the building. I really enjoyed seeing how these relationships changed and grew and I thought this was a very entertaining and readable novel.

I had a few heavier reads, and going into the mid summer months, I was excited to start a romance on the lighter side. With Love from Wish & Co seemed like the perfect fit.
From the publisher via Goodreads: Two boxes, both alike in size and shape . . .
Marnie Fairchild is the brains and talent behind Wish & Co., a boutique store that offers a bespoke gift-buying service to wealthy clients with complicated lives. Brian Charlesworth is Marnie's most prized customer, and today she's wrapping the perfect anniversary gift for his wife, Suzanne . . . and a birthday present for his mistress, Leona. What could possibly go wrong?
For years, Marnie's had her heart set on moving Wish & Co. to the historic shopfront once owned by her grandfather. When the chance to bid for the property unexpectedly arises, Marnie--distracted--makes an uncharacteristic mistake. Soon Brian is in a fight to rescue his marriage, and Marnie is scrabbling to keep her dreams alive. With the situation so complicated, the last thing Marnie needs is to fall for Brian and Suzanne's gorgeous son, Luke. In the end, will it be her head or her heart that wins out?
Oh, how I love a good Romeo and Juliet allusion.
This was a sweet read. I enjoyed the overall plot and the writing. The character dives were a little more in depth than I was anticipating, which read like more of a literary romance than a beach read (in the vein of Emily Henry), so if you're looking for a meet-cute with some bones, this will definitely be the book for you.
Big thanks to Ballantine and NetGalley for providing an eARC in exchange for honest review consideration.

Thank you to NetGalley and Dell/Random House for providing me with an ARC of this book to read and review.
Marnie Fairchild has a unique business—she is a gift buyer, a person who purchases gifts for all the important people in her clients’ lives. Marnie has worked hard to build her business and is close to making a long-term dream of hers reality when she makes a mistake that may cost her her wish.
I really enjoyed this story. All the characters were so real and endearing; I even liked Brian Charlesworth. This book was pretty light-hearted, despite the infidelity and issues the characters face. I found myself cheering them on as the story progressed.
If you are looking for a sweet romance, this is a great pick!

Marnie Fairchild has worked very hard to make a success of her shop specializing in buying gifts for the families and important people of her wealthy clients who have complex lives. Marnie’s heart, soul, and dreams are wrapped up in her very precise and detailed work that requites massive amounts of time to “stalk” the intended gift recipients online, none of whom know that she is behind the very personal purchases. Marnie’s clients get all the credit, but when she makes a massive mistake, she takes all the blame. Marnie’s most important customer, Brian Charlesworth is not amused when at his 40th wedding luncheon in his home, made entirely by his devoted wife, Suzanne, the gift for his mistress which had been erroneously delivered is opened for all to see.
Marnie’s other big dream was to buy her grandfather’s historic shop so she could move from her less desirable location and keep the building in the family. Marnie has many high society relatives who shun her because of an errant father who was the black sheep of the family. An uncle owns the building; however, she must bid on it at auction like everyone else. Marnie cannot afford to lose Brian, or his referrals so she helps him mount a campaign to get his estranged wife back. To further complicate matters, Marnie meets and falls for Brian and Suzanne’s son, Luke, who has a strained relationship with his father already. Marnie and Brian make a massive effort to win over Suzanne although she knows keeping this a big secret from Luke will most likely detonate her relationship with him as well.
The setting of this book is Australia so some of the slang terms and cultural references may not resonate, but it is interesting to look them up. Luke knows what Marnie does for her clients but thought she had stopped helping his father. Secrets will out and some of Luke’s comments help Marnie decide which side of the morals line she wants to be one despite on in the future. This story is told from several point of views so readers get in the minds of all the major players. Marnie faces more than one dilemma in deciding how far she will go, and what lines she will cross, to realize long held dreams, not the least of which is that Marnie has been helping her wealthy male clients essentially cheat on their spouses who also lie to their families about the origin of the gifts.

This was a great story! Marnie runs a little shop and one of her services is to buy gifts, particularly for wealthy men who don't have the time or the knowledge of how to buy a thoughtful gift. Many of her wealthy clients have "special friends" and it's when handling the gifts for her best customer's anniversary with his wife and the birthday of his mistress, that things go wrong. Marnie ends up in a romantic relationship with the son of this customer even after her mistake caused a separation between his parents. I liked Suzanne's take on what Marnie does especially since Luke was so negative about her job. I really enjoyed reading this book. I have one of Ms. Darke's earlier books and I'll be grabbing it off the shelf to read since this book was such a great read.

While this book was adorable and very touching at times, it definitely didn't stick with me after reading the final page. I loved the perfect balance of tone and the unique character voices. However, I wasn't completely connected to the romance and the pacing sometimes felt off in my opinion. I appreciate getting to read this book and I definitely would recommend it to people who already enjoy the genre, but it wouldn't be what I'd give to someone who doesn't already love this type of book.

Thank you Minnie Darke, Dell, and Netgalley for the gifted eARC.
Marnie Fairchild owns a boutique store called Wish & Co. that specializes in gift-buying services for those who are of well means and have busy lives. Brian Charlesworth is one of Marnie's best customer's and she's wrapping a present for both his wife, Suzanne, and his mistress, Leonna, in the same day. Of course nothing could go wrong....right?
Marnie has her heart set to move Wish & Co into the historic Fairchild & Sons building and is doing everything she can to make her dream to but it come true. Brian is trying to fix his relationship with Suzanne. With everything being so complicated between Brian and Marnie, Marnie is trying hard not to fall for Brian's son Luke.
When I read the synopsis of this novel I thought I would be reading about Marnie and Luke. Instead this novel has multiple storylines, all of which are equally interesting. The main ones center around Marnie and Luke, and Brian and Suzanne. I found Marnie to be a very likable character. She's determined, hard-working, kind, and thoughtful. I found Luke's character to be likable as well, but sometimes a bit judgemental towards Marnie's occupation as gift-giver. The descriptions in the book are amazing. You can easily visualize the setting of the story. Drake also does a great job at coveying the characters' emotions. I was laughing and crying and feeling so many emotions throughout this book. There were times I felt the story dragged on a bit. I think this is partly because of so many storylines going on at once. I wish the book focused more on Marnie and Luke's story and less on Brian and Suzanne's story. Overall it was a great read.

I started With Love From Wish and Co months ago and it took me forever to sit down and read the whole thing. Once I got going I couldn't put it down! Marnie Fairchild is a shop owner and professional gift buyer. I am sure if you have enough money there are people who have a gift buyer on retainer! I am sure this is a lucrative career considering how stressful finding gifts can be! This was a great story once I got into the book. It took me a bit to get into the plot and figure out all the different characters. I really loved it!

With Love from Wish & Co is about a woman running a gift giving company looking to expand. When she makes a major mistake for her most valuable client, it changes everything. I thought this book would be an easy love story. I was surprised to find a multilayer family story. I really enjoyed this book and will recommend.

With Love from Wish & Co was a present in itself to read. Marnie Fairchild is a professional gift-buyer, and when a gift for a client’s mistress gets delivered to his wife, her life and the life of the family who get the mixed up present are forever changed as she tries to fix things and starts to fall for the client’s son in the process. That’s an oversimplification of this beautiful story that follows the perspectives of the husband and wife of the client—Brian and Suzanne Charlesworth—and their son, Luke. I didn’t know what to expect when I started this but this book was just lovely. Every character add such depth to the journey. It was funny and sweet and heartwarming. There was so much going on in each character’s individual life and I loved how seamlessly the stories fell together. It had the energy of a modern day Jane Austen novel. The writing is sharp and witty, the story engaging and addicting. I was rooting for these character—this family. I feel like there was one portion of the end that didn’t feel like it clicked but it was such a small part, it didn’t take away from the story. Marnie was just such a relatable character. Her drive for her family’s old business, her struggles, and her positivity were so strong and I just loved each character that built this touching story. I’d highly recommend this if you’re looking for a feel-good read.
4.5/5 stars

With Love from Wish & Co. is a light-hearted, easy read! It lacks a lot of depth and substance, and it is very predictable but sometimes that just what you need. I didn't connect with any of the characters, and I wished there would have been a bit more character development throughout the book. I was drawn to it by the super cute cover. If you need a quick, light read, this one will fit the ticket.
Thank you, Random House Ballantine and Net Galley, for an ARC in return for my honest review.

This book sparked my curiosity based on the synopsis as we were offered the book as a possible book we’d enjoy based on the other titles we’ve read and enjoyed. The concept was really cute but ultimately the overall wasn’t a great match for me. The setting didn’t resonate with me and I would have loved for some additional character development.

I received a complimentary copy of With Love from Wish & Co. from NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.
With gut wrenching moments, this novel engaged me from the beginning, evening itself with enough hope and positivity to hold my interest. The historical restoration of an old storefront shop added depth to an already pleasant read. Good book!

Thank you to Random House Publishing Group and NetGalley for providing me with this advanced digital reviewer's copy in exchange for my honest review.
