This was a little slow for me and I wasn't able to complete it. It starts out a little draggy for me and didn't hold my interest.

This was a very quick read. I really enjoyed the book I love how Marnie was able to "stalk" people to find the perfect gift. I really felt Marnie's want of the building her grandfather had his business. I understood how this desire cause the event that sent this story into motion.

I liked getting to know the Charlesworth family. Luke was such an interesting character. I love the way Luke and Marnie became a couple. They were good for each other, however, I felt that Luke was really harsh about Marnie doing her job. I know that he felt gifts are about the thought and effort, but I saw Marnie's reasoning. I think the one fight that they had the things Luke said were quite harsh. I am happy with the way it all worked out.

Such a unique concept and rich storytelling from the author of "Star-Crossed!" It reads so quickly, very captivating as told through multiple, interconnected perspectives. However, at some points, it almost feels like too many POVs that get jumbled in my head as I try to remember whose side we are up to. That being side, it's a perfect women's fiction read for fans of "Star-Crossed." Very enjoyable and compelling.

Thank you to NetGalley for the advance ecopy of this book. Marnie Fairchild is a member of a prominent family, just not a prominent person herself. For years she has dreamed of relocating her personal gift shopping business to the vacant building where previous generations of her family were shopkeepers. When the building finally goes up for sale, Marine devotes all her mental energy into plans to purchase it at auction. In her preoccupied state, she makes a major mistake that sends a wife a gift meant for a mistress, and vice-versa. This error negatively effects her business, and she has to persuade her wealthy client into letting her make it up to him. Along the way, she becomes romantically involved with the client's son, which further complicated her life. An enjoyable read, but not without substance.

With Love from Wish & Co. told through different narrators. The story cascades around Marnie Fairchild, the owner of Wish & Co. Marnie purchases, wraps and sends gifts on behalf of clients that pay her a nice sum to do so, and because some of her clients would like gifts sent discreetly. The gifts arrive as if her clients sent the gifts. Marnie spends much time researching the gift recipients in order to find the perfect gifts. Marnie wishes to buy her grandfather's store in a more expensive area from her uncle who insists on selling it through a real estate agent, and opening the sale up to other buyers. The trouble begins when Marnie mixes up an order and the wrong gifts go to the wrong recipients which creates many personal problems and the clients begin to advise that they will no longer need her services. I found With Love from Wish & Co. to be a quick read because Minnie Darke keeps the pace of the story moving and you wish to find out what happens next. Thank you to Net Galley for an ARC of With Love from Wish & Co. I enjoyed the book very much!

In a charmingly predictable tale, Marnie Fairchild, who owns a gift buying business, finds herself at the center of a scandal. While she tries her hardest to gain forgiveness and get her business back on track, she finds herself falling in love which leads to her being caught between her new love and her client. All the while, she is saving to buy a family owned building in which she dreams of moving her business to. Will she follow her dreams or her heart? A heartwarming tale of right and wrong, love and loss, you’ll find yourself rooting for Marnie the entire time.

What a joyous and drama-filled book! The large cast of characters are so fun to follow, and you fall in love with all of them. There is a whole web of meaningful relationships, from Minnie and Luke's romance to Brian and Suzanne's marriage to Ivy and Luke's newfound father/daughter bond. You follow along on the events that unfold after Minnie makes on uncharacteristic and drastic mistake at her gift buying business. This book is fast-paced and has you rooting for every single character!

Marnie is a professional gift buyer, which I never knew existed. But she mixes up two gifts which causes serious problems for both herself and the gift buyer. The characters were charming and it was a great lighthearted story.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This reminded me a lot of a Liane Moriarty novel, with all the interesting family dynamics, and I really enjoyed it! Marnie owns a small boutique, and her specialty is not just curating interesting items, but providing personal gift buying services for her clients. One of her clients has her regularly buy gifts for both his wife AND his mistress... and one disastrous day, Marnie mixes up the gifts, blowing up her client's marriage. In spite of that excitement, I found the book started a bit slow, but a midway through, it picked up and became hard to put down. (I actually had the same feedback about Darke's last book, "The Lost Love Song"... perhaps she could benefit from a better editor to tighten things up?) Either way, I would still thoroughly recommend this feel-good romance, especially to anyone who's a fan of Liane Moriarty!

This was such a great book. I really loved it. The idea of a professional gift-buyer sounds amazing, and I loved the way Marnie just wanted to claim her family home. Her relationship with Luke was interesting in the way it was layered. They really fit, but the conflict really fit their characters. I found myself understanding where both of them were coming from.

I also liked the additional points of view from Suzanne and Brian, although to be honest, the book probably would have been fine without them. If you like women's fiction in the vein of Georgia Clarke, I'd say to give this a try.

I loved this delightful cleverly plotted romcom novel!

Marnie owns a small gift buying sevice in Australia and is determined to purchase and restore a damaged storefront to house her growing business despite her meager finances when an unfortunate snafu threatens to destroy her business entirely. But Marnie is not easily defeated and perseveres with help from an unlikely source.

I am a bit torn on how to rate this book. I think I give it a 3.25. I thought the story was cute, and the characters endearing, but there was something about the writing style that frustrated me. An example would be during scenes with dialogue. Once dialogue started, before the next person would reply, the author would write about the person's thoughts for 3 paragraphs. By the time it got to the point where the second character would reply to the first, I forgot what the first had even said. There was a lot of extra detail that was unnecessary. It was not descriptive detail like Stephen King talking about a chair for 3 pages but extra words. Having said that, I do want to reiterate that I thought the story was pretty cute, and I loved the concept behind it. The gift giving profession was an adorable take.

I would like to thank Kathleen Quinlan of Random House, and Net Galley for the chance to read this book as an ARC. I have been hesitant to read another romance, lately I have read quite a few duds. This was a darling book, with engaging characters and a clever premise. Marnie Fairchild has a business- Wish and Co. She , among other things, is a gift buying consultant for people( primarily rich men) , who have no clue when it comes to shopping. She is also the, outsider in a moneyed family. Everyone in her town , refers to her father as "poor Rory".Marnie has built up her business on her own, and wants to expand. There is a building that her grandfather built that is in disrepair and Marnie wants to buy it.Marnie is working hard to make her dreams happen. She has a great best friend( Peach to her Bunny), and a friend with benefits, Owen. She has put all of her romantic dreams on hold as she tries to grow her business and get the building of her dreams. Disaster strikes at the outset- Brian Charlesworth, one of her best clients, has a wedding anniversary and a mistresses birthday on the same day. She has bought the perfect gifts for both wife and mistress, and she would never make a mistake in the mailing- or would she? Things spiral in a semi predictable way. What keeps this book from being predictable and dull is the freshness of the characters. Marnie is open, lovely and relatable. There is a romance in the person of the Charlesworth's son, who has some secrets of his own. It is all about love, life , secrets , lies and taking what the universe gives you. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Cute! Cute! Cute!
Sweet, swoonworthy with a sweet storyline that will leave you feeling good.
Marnie Fairchild has a “gift” for gift giving. She has a big dream of moving her company “Wish & Co.” to a historic storefront that once housed her grandfather’s store. Getting the funds to buy it causes her to cross paths with a family that makes her question her “gifts” and everything else she believes in. Light hearted, quick read. Five stars and here’s hoping they make this sweet romance into a movie!

With Love From Wish & Co. by Minnie Darke
Marnie Fairchild, from the rogue side of the Fairchild family, and thus not part of its fortune, is a businesswoman. She’s gone from a food truck to a high-end gift service. Her business includes everything from selling specialty gift wrap to personal gift shopping for her clients. She’s ready to move up in her retail location and has her heart set on a posh address where her grandfather worked as a cobbler. Marnie works hard, but she has goals. She wants that space.
Complications come when gifts are misdelivered. One to the wife, one to the mistress.
Her characters are charming, but not perfect, her plot has surprises and a fresh approach to the “woman starting a small business” trope, and she did a great job of struggling with the issue of personal responsibility, in this case, by enabling cheating husbands, but also the emotions when the recipients of the gifts realize that they weren’t chosen by a loved one, but a pro.
I love the interwoven lesson of women being responsible for their own happiness and hope to read more from this author.
I received this book from NetGalley and Dell, the publisher. It goes on sale August 17. (links to be posted after pub as requested0
