I loved this book! Super cute :-)
This was a very charming romance novel about a boutique shop owner and professional gift shopper, Marnie. After a snafu with her top customer, she has to navigate making things right with him and also - secretly - dating his son. At the same time, she’s trying to buy a new property for her store and struggling to balance it all. This was an easy and pleasant read, would recommend!

This was my first book by Minnie Darke and I was pleasantly surprised. While the first half of the book moved a little too slowly for me, the second half kept me fully engaged and I was rooting for a happy ending!
I would recommend this to any reader who is a fan of the romcom genre and doesn’t mind a slow pace with a pay off in the end.

Thank you to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group for a free copy of the digital ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Perfect for those who love Hallmark holidays in book form but with a bit more drama. I really liked Marnie's character and her growth in the book was exciting to see. This book gives you a mix of messy characters that are both loveable and selfish, which added depth to the storyline. I didn't find this one to be nearly as holiday as other books so if you don't want a full-blown Christmas story, this book would be the perfect read for you. The unique storyline of gift giving made this one a bit different that other books out there.

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for giving me an e-ARC of this book in return for an honest review.

In this story you follow Marnie along her journey of owning the shop that belonged to her granddad for her gift purchasing store. After an unfortunate mix up Marnie must decide what the right thing to do is. However, along the way she meets a guy who questions what the right thing is and must decide what is more important to her. The guy or the dream of owning her granddad’s old shop. Overall, this was a lighthearted, lovely story. It was a bit predictable and could be seen coming from early on in the story. If you’re looking for a quick, easy read, this could be a story for you.

I enjoyed this read and almost read it twice it was that good for me. I forgot I read it and picked it up again and thought this sounds like a good story. Start reading it and it sounds familiar. Skim through it and sure enough I have already read it. Thank you MInnie Darke for writing such a good story I almost read it twice.

Two of Marnie’s gifts from her gift buying service got mixed up. This was at the worst possible situation and they were from an important client. I loved the characters and their interactions! The story depicts a wide range of emotions of its characters in an enjoyable way that was hard to put down.

Complications abound in this fun and witty story. Loved the horrible mix up aspect of it, as that trope is always a fun one to see how it'll all work out!

This was the perfect romcom read. Light hearted with a heavy topic. Funny, sweet. Underwhelming. I would recommend it!

"With Love from Wish & Co." is a lighthearted contemporary romance novel that explores the themes of love, forgiveness and self-discovery.

I found the characters to be charming and enjoyed the dual storylines: Brian (Marnie's customer) trying to save his marriage and Marnie falling for Brian's son Luke. On the other hand, the pacing of the story was a bit uneven and I wanted more sizzle between Marnie and Luke.

Still this is a cute read to add to your summer TBR.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for a complimentary copy.

With Love from Wish & Co. by Minnie Darke was such a delight to read and I couldn't help but love the uniqueness of Marnie's job! There is actually a section in the audiobook that the author reads where she talks about her mom in relation to gift buying and we find out exactly where the idea for the business came from. I couldn't find this in the print copy, so I highly recommend grabbing the audio if only so you don't miss out on that! Much of the focus is on Marnie, but we also have other viewpoints like Marnie's client Brian, Brian's wife Suzanne, Leona his mistress, as well as Luke who is Brian's son. While they probably weren't all completely necessary, I still enjoyed them all and it was definitely interesting getting all sides of the many stories.

There is certainly some heart in this book while the overall feel is pretty easy breezy. It is a little over 12 hours on audio, but the time passes really quickly, and Zoe Carides is a lovely narrator. This is a clean, contemporary romance but it also focuses on more than that, and I liked that Darke took us into the morally gray area of Marnie's gift-buying/wrapping for men who use her services for their secret lovers. The ending dragged on a little bit too long for my liking, but I think this would make an excellent movie and I did like that everything got wrapped up and there weren't any loose ends. I so enjoyed this author's writing style and the setup of the book, so I will certainly be checking out more from her!

This light-hearted read is a great break from the heavier thrillers and mysteries I typically read. While there is some more serious subject matter (infidelity, etc.), it's handled well by the author. I enjoyed Minnie Darke's writing style and will check out her backlist for sure! The combination of women's fiction, drama, humor, and romance has something relatable for almost everyone that will leave you with a good, warm-hearted feeling.

Slow and dragged. I just could not get into the book but managed to finish it. Just meh for me. Many thanks to publisher and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.

Marnie Fairchild is an excellent gift giver. In fact, she has turned it into her career. She buys, wraps, and delivers the perfect gift for her clients and their loved ones. When her historic family shop is up for sale, she wants to purchase it and move her business into the space she has always dreamed of. That is until she makes the unfortunate mistake of mixing up gifts for Brian Charlesworth's wife and mistress. Now the future of her business is completely up in the air at the worst possible time. Can she save her business and continue to build her dream?

This book took me a long time to get into. I really loved the last 1/3, but I had a tough time making it that far. If you're looking for a slow-paced book that pays off in the end, this is a good choice. I personally prefer a faster pace, but I could see how others would really enjoy the pace of this book.

I just couldn't get into this one. I didn't find the characters as enthralling as I hoped. Not a bad story just not for m.

This was a very cute and lighthearted romance. It wasn't the best in the world but I had a good time reading it so it did a good job!

It’s a charming romance. I enjoyed the setting and the relationship between the characters. This is a super fast read. My first book from Minnie and I’ll be checking her other books out because I really enjoyed her writing style.

This book was good. The premise behind the business is great, I did feel a bit conflicted over the business with regard to infidelity and being the person who picked out gifts for a mistress. I do feel like the main characters were well-developed. I couldn't help but want to root for the Female main character to get the building she has such an attachment too. I think those qualities helped to ease the conflict of the "mixed up" gift.

2 stars. This book sounded like it would be a really cute read, however, it fell short for me. Those who enjoy reading very light reads may enjoy this.
Thank you to Minnie Darke, Random House-Ballantine, and NetGalley for the arc in exchange for an honest review.

DNF at about 60%. This was a predictable boring slog full of emotional manipulators and their sordid goings on. I spent the first half of the book looking for at least one character for whose fate I could summon the least bit of care. I regret to report that my efforts failed and I was forced to admit defeat. It's not that they are awful or rotten people, but they are very painfully average, predictable and formulaic. It should make them relatable, but, apparently, not to me.
