Thank you to the author, the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this ARC.

I read the first one in the series. I enjoyed it. It's great for kids. Uses STEAM themes and illustrations are good. Recommend ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Another great addition to the series. It is sure to keep the attention of kids. The characters have different cultural backgrounds and this story has folklore that many people from the United States might not know about. Fun and spooky. The illustrations just add to the story.

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for the ARC in return for an honest opinion.

This book almost reminded me of the Bailey School Kids and I really enjoyed that, it was great to be reminded of that time. This book had what I enjoyed from The Ghost Tree and this had the same great characters and atmosphere as Ghost Tree. I was invested in what was going on and loved the way Natasha Deen wrote this book. I hope there is more in this series as it's been a great nostalgic run.

"The light—or person—climbed out of the hole and sped away from us. We followed, but as we ran closer to the hole, there was a hiss and a pop. Sparks erupted from the ground. We leaped away as the grass caught on fire."

I'm really enjoying this series for it's creepy inspiration from Guyanese ghost stories. I also enjoy the inclusion of the scientific method. It's a perfect combination of two of my favorite things: spooky stories and science! I enjoyed the first book a little more than this second installment, mainly because this one had some elements that were too similar to the first story. However, overall, I am really liking this series. I will definitely be recommending to customers, family, and friends, especially for readers that love scary stories. I can't wait for the next book in the series!

The second in the Spooky Sleuth series finds the kids fighting a Moon-Gazer. Mysterious Mr. Maan shows up to “teach” the kids about the moon. However, he doesn’t seem to actually want to help the kids. Just like before, the kids have to save their town.

Another great story! I received my copy from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
