Definitely a must read!Six Graves is the 16th book in the DI Kim Stone series. This is one of my favorite series. Once again, Angela Marsons has outdone herself. This series just keeps getting better and better! So as I am reading this book, I'm praying this is not the end to this amazing series.

The book started with a teaser, and never looked back. A fast paced thriller with twists up to the very end. What I love best of all is Kim Stone's character. She's flawed, strong, determined, tough and caring. And her partner, Bryant, is as warm and lovable as a cop could ever be. So I was perplexed on why he was always putting Penn down.

And honestly, that ending had me on the edge of my seat, rapid heart rate, accelerated breathing, fist clenching and unclenching...the whole 9 yards.

Definitely a must read!

Thank you to NetGalley, Bookouture and Angela Marsons for a copy of "Six Graves" in exchange of an honest review.

Well written as usual, a strong set of characters and a mix of current murder with an historic psychopath. Chilling and enthralling. Thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for an advance copy in exchange for my honest review.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for this advanced copy of the latest in Angela Marsons Kim Stone series. Wow, what can you say that hasn’t been said before. This series gets better and better each and every book. The characters and storylines are just amazingly brilliant. I so wish this would be made into a TV series!! The pace and tension never let up and it is a page turner in the true sense of the word. Angela Marsons is a storyteller of the highest level. Her ability to keep this series as fresh as it was right at the beginning is to be applauded. I love this series and the characters so believable. Never let it end. 5 stars all the way.

OK I finished this a few days ago now and only just feel like I can write about it. Actually....no. Just give me a moment. Just reliving the trauma. OK I think I'm ready.

Once in my life have I actually shouted at a book. I don't think it's very spoilerish to mention at the end of the last Song of Ice and Fire novel and realising Jon Snow had been stabbed to death I threw my book so hard it went through my blinds, then the window. I'm not sure what scared my neighbour more. The flying book or me shouting "Godamn you George RR Martin!"

So fast forward eleven years (Eleven!! Godamn you George!) I scared the very same neighbour. Luckily for her I resisted throwing my Kindle (books have bonus of not breaking when thrown) but she did hear a howl of "Why would you Angie Marsons??"

Because why? How could she traumatise me so much? I finished this in floods of tears. Not the first time this series has done this to me. And for all my waffle it's a real testament to how fantastic this series is. 16 books in and I'm not bored yet. In fact I'm more enthralled than ever and really very much emotionally invested in Kim's fate and also her teams.

I realise I haven't said much about the plot. I don't think I need to. If you've got this far (well done if you have) you're already interested and know what it's about. So if you're undecided read it. But only if you've read the other 15. And if you haven't I envy you. I really wish I could read these for the first time again. Do it. You will not regret it.

Wow, Wow, Wow, what a story! Right from the prologue I was stunned, and the pace of the fantastic writing did not let up right to the end. I loved it!!

This is the 16th…… 16th!!!!! book in the wonderful Kim Stone Series by Angela Marsons and what a series it is. I envy the people who are only on Book 1 or 2 as they have so much enjoyment ahead of them!

This book deals with a family who have been the victims of a murder/suicide in their own home. The team are thrown into the case, as well as that of a runaway psychotic prisoner who has his sights on Kim! There’s childhood trauma, kidnap, witness protection and a race against time. It has it all and, as always, is an excellent blend of police procedural and exciting thriller.

Suffice to say, that this is another excellent, well thought out book with brilliantly drawn characters. I love them and enjoy seeing their bonds grow with each book. They are funny, loyal and a joy to read about. I feel like I know them and want to be friends!

This book is dramatic, suspenseful and fast paced thriller. I really hope there’s another one. I know there were 16 contracted to be written. Please Bookouture and Angela Marsons, up this for us fans!!!!

Thank you to Netgalley, Bookouture and Angela Marsons for a copy of this book in return for an honest review.

4.5 rounded up.
Most series by #16 start getting a bit tired but Angela Marsons has kept it up. Kim is investigating one case while also under protection because she is being pursued by a psychopathic killer. Starts fast and hard and does not let up.
I was given a copy by Netgalley in exchange for an unbiased review.

I would highly recommend the Kim Stone novels by Angela Marsons.
Epilogue is intriguing, mentions numerous major, and not so major characters from the previous 15 novels. Makes you think a main protagonist is being buried, I didn’t buy it, but knew there would be an interesting angle, it definitely makes you want to read on to see where this storyline all began and who it is.
Two main storyline’s one regarding Kim’s past (this is book 16 and to appreciate I really think you need to read all the novels in order) the second is a horrific family tragedy which doesn’t ring true as a murder suicide even from the get go.
Even though I guessed the ‘death’ mentioned in the prologue early on, a couple of twists and turns made me doubt myself a few times!
Again, another blinder of a novel from Angela Marsons, loved all her books and look forward to no.17.

This is without doubt one of my favourite every books. I discovered this series back in January and have read all 16 since then and really loved each one. But Six Graves is the best of them all. The return of favourite characters and a storyline that links to past events, but also a great new storline that will keep you hooked. And the book is si well written, you do not need to have the previous 16 to appreciate and understand Six Graves. I held my breath all the way through. 5* is not enough for this book!

Kim Stone is a badass! So is Angela Marsons! This book has me right from the start. Gripping. Every single chapter ended with a hook, usually a new discovery, and as the reader you were left hanging on... or as I did, I just kept turning the pages.

Such a swifft, brilliant read. Kim's team is also incredible and I loved the way they worked together and each of their individual strengths shone through. Definitely recommend.

Thanks to NetGalley, Bookouture, and the author for an advanced copy.

Let me start by asking you to think of the worlds scariest rollercoaster.

One with endless loop de loops and one that tops the heights you are afraid to travel – let that picture settle in your mind BECAUSE that is nothing on where this book will take you…

From the very first page I was freaking out, dreading what was to come… by the end of the prologue I needed to take a minute – I had no nails and I already wanted to take up drinking – this was the prologues of all prologues and would grip even the biggest haters of reading

Six Graves follows Kim and her team trying to solve a case that Pathologist Keats had rang through… very quickly after Kim found out about a direct threat and knowing Kim Stone a case she would prefer to be working on.

Kim Stone to me is a complete Rockstar!

In Six Graves she shows that she doesn’t care what is directed her way – the job needs to be done. She is the strongest and bravest character I have come across, place that with her lack of obedience and her sheer rudeness and you have yourself someone to admire especially when her life is on the line!

She leaves no stone (ignore the pun) unturned and she has such a brilliant mind one that will leave your head spinning. You can bet that Kim has cracked the case and walked straight into the lions den before you have even realised what has happened leaving you with that WTF just happened feeling!!

Opposing to Kim Stone one of the greatest characters written, in this book you have her complete opposite – Symes, the most horrific character I have ever come across and one who has me feeling physically sick when reading any chapter with his involvement.

Six Graves was written so intelligently I am still in a daze. The amount of twists and turns you come across and how they all come together and fit into place will leave you in awe.

Angela Marsons has fast become one of my favourite authors. Picking up the first book in the DI Kim Stone series in January i quickly became hooked and enthralled into the life of the rude yet hilarious Kim Stone and regardless of the heartache Marsons has put me through over these months you can not deny how much of an incredible author she is.

We may only be in the month of May but I am very confident that I have already found my book of the year! It is going to take A LOT to top this rollercoaster of a read.

I was provided with a complimentary copy of this book so I could give an honest review. The opinions are entirely my own, and any quotes are taken from the ARC and may be different in the final published copy.

I am a member of the Bookouture Book Club on Facebook. It is a group where people discuss what they are reading with other readers. Many, many, many readers suggested reading Angela Marson's Kim Stone series. I read several and enjoyed them. When I was given the opportunity to review her latest Stone novel, Six Graves, the 16th in the series, I jumped at the chance. To give a fair and honest review, I finished reading the rest of the series before starting this book.

Kim Stone is an independent, troubled detective who does not let people get close to her. She is incredible at her job, but her family and social life are nonexistent. She is passionate about her work and dedicated to her team and each case. The current one appears to be a murder/suicide, but Stone is not convinced. With a witness protection officer protecting her, can Stone uncover the truth before she is the victim of murder herself?

All of the previous Stone novels are solid 4-stars. Marsons outdid herself with Six Graves, and it is a 4.5-star novel. The story grabs you right away and keeps you guessing throughout.

Marsons is on my must-be-read list.

This 200-word review was published on Philomathinphila.com on 5/16/22.

Angela Marsons can do no wrong, this may be the sixteenth book in the Kim Stone series but it is as good as the rest, if not better. This book certainly packs a number of punches.

One of Kim’s arch nemeses has escaped from Jail, and when he went to prison he told Kim he was coming after her. Cue protection for Kim by not another person she cannot stand, and this leads to loads of humorous moments throughout the book.

Like all other books in this series it is wonderfully written with great characters, superb plotting, great tension and fast moving action. Of course I cannot recommend this book strongly enough, and I have to say it is the best book I have read this year, but just be aware there is quite a lot of violent action towards the end. So be warned!

I don’t want to spoil the ending so all I will say is what a book, just get hold of a copy!

Thanks to the publisher and Net Galley for a review copy of the book in exchange for a fair, open and honest review.

I am in awe of Angela Marsons. Book 16 and there is still no let up in the quality of the writing. The story is as fresh as the first one and sends you on a complete rollercoaster. The excitement still builds and builds to a jaw dropping climax! There was no point in this book where I felt it was just another story being drained out of “Kim Stone” Ms Marsons has a very twisted mind and her propensity for describing nasty, horrible serial killers is quite frankly scary, I will definitely be keeping my eye out for number 17 and may even start reading them again from the beginning,

I want to start by thanking NetGalley and the publisher for my eARC in exchange for my honest review. I think l can say that l have never read a sixteen book series. I can for further and say I have not read sixteen books with the consistency of this one. It is odd how I expect to be disappointed after awhile, yet Angela Marsons’s DI Kim Stone has not. The combination of strong relatable characters as well as a series of compelling mysteries does it for me. Onto the next addition.

My thanks to Bookouture for an eARC via NetGalley of ‘Six Graves’ by Angela Marsons in exchange for an honest review.

This is Book 16 in Marsons’ D.I. Kim Stone series of police procedurals set in the West Midlands. I have read a fair number of books in this series and found them excellent.

I find it best to read this kind of novel with minimal plot details. So just a taster: following a chilling Prologue we join D.I. Stone and her team on a weekend team-building retreat with four other police teams. Then Stone is pulled out and escorted to DCI Woodward ‘s office where she receives the news that a dangerous criminal with a grudge against her has escaped prison. While she is determined not to let her life be disrupted, Woodward insists that protection officer Leanne King be in charge of her security. The women have a rocky history.

Stone is determined to keep leading her team despite the danger. Their current investigation involves the death of a family of four, including two teenagers. What appears at first to be a straightforward case, soon reveals itself to be much more complex.

I have to admit that Stone’s stubbornness in the face of the threat from her enemy was frustrating. I am certain that Leanne deserved a medal for her patience.

Overall, ‘Six Graves’ proved a fast paced police procedural that delivered on the nail-biting tension complete with satisfying twists. Once I started reading I finished it in a single sitting as it proved impossible to put down. The D.I. Kim Stone series has become a ‘must read’ for me and I will be looking forward to Book 17.

I have loved the Kim Stone series since book 1 and it's one of the few series that I am always waiting for the next book. I have grown to love all the characters and their stories and this book was no exception.

The first chapter made my heart drop and I had to re-read it to make sure that I had actually read it right. The two stories happening, along with the short chapters makes it a quick, exciting read. I couldn't put it down.

I am enjoying seeing the growth of the characters as they continue to work together.

Highly recommend this series and I am already looking forward to the next one!
