I quite enjoyed Bad Girl Reputation, it was a sweet second-chance romance showing the power of forgiveness and personal growth. This is the second book in the series and I have previously read the third in the series so I knew a little bit about Genevieve and Evan but loved to get to know them better and explore more of Avalon Bay. Genevieve is back in town for a funeral after having left Avalon Bay for a year to get her life sorted out. She was tired of her wild habits, long nights of drinking and waking up not sure how and where she ended up.

Evan is born and raised in Avalon Bay and for as long as he can remember Gen has been the girl for him, he was shocked to realize she had left town without so much as a word. When Genevieve returns he feels compelled to reach out and try to rekindle their love.

The chemistry between the two is off the charts and it is clear to see how they could easily be so caught up in each other it would be hard to redraw the lines. Gen wants desperately to prove to herself and her family she has changed her ways and is ready to take on grownup responsibility. She hadn’t anticipated a move back to the Bay but once she is there it pulls her in and when unexpected opportunities come up it is near impossible to resist.

I really enjoyed this book, it s a great summer read – perfect for the beach! it didn’t quite captivate me the way The Summer Girl (the third book in the series) did and I am not sure why. I think it part of it was I really wanted to see them together but the majority of the book is centred around the tug-a-war of them possibly reuniting. It also dealt with more serious issues than the other book which while the book was great didn’t give me the same warm and fuzzy feelings. I look forward to reading Good Girl Complex, the first book in the series as well as others by this author.

Thank You to St Martin's Press for the gifted eARC. This does not affect my opinion of the book; I leave my honest review voluntarily.

I loved this one!! Elle Kennedy is a favourite author and this one was great. I enjoyed this one more than the first in the series.

Don't even think. Just pick this book up and start flipping pages. Elle Kennedy is slowly but surely becoming an auto-buy author for me!

I did not like this book at all or the author’s writing style. It felt like a YA book marketed to adults.

Though as a storyline I did love Good Girl Complex a bit more… when it comes to the Hartley twins, I may have fallen for Evan Hartley even more so than I did with Cooper.

The way that Cooper treated Evan in Bad Girl Rep.. well, it made me want to glare at him for making my favorite twin feel bad about himself! I am loving Avalon Bay though and I cannot wait to read more about these characters in the next book!

This was a second chance romance that was quite a short read with loads of steamy scenes and rom-com galore.

I truly loved this story, and at first I was hesitant. Although the chemistry between Gen and Evan was so strong, I was very concerned that they would be a couple I couldn't root for.
Despite this hesitation, the foundation laid for both of their character arcs was incredible. They didn't change the heart of who they are, they just matured both separately and together, and I really appreciated that. It was fun having the glimpse of Cooper and Mac as well!

dnf at 46%. you cannot tell me the same person who wrote the off campus series and the briar u series also wrote the avalon bay series. the characters were fine, but i just wasn’t into the storyline. which was the same issue i had with good girl complex. i definitely liked evan and gen more than cooper and mackenzie. i just didn’t like them enough to continue reading. not bad, just boring.

I always enjoy my Elle Kennedy reads, and the world of Avalon Bay is such a fun one! This was a harder story for me to get into than some of her other ones, but once I was hooked, I couldn’t stop! The redemption and forgiveness that happened in so many layers throughout the story was beautiful.

Getting to read about Genevieve and Evens story made me so happy after they were mentioned in the first book. I love that they were able to grow together and work out their differences and I can’t wait to go back to Avalon bay for the third book.

I found Bad Girl Reputation to be kind of dull and nothing extraordinary. This will be one I will probably forget about fairly quickly. It is a second chance romance so if you want an easy read and enjoy that trope, then you may like this.

I liked this one so much more than the first! Evan was actually the best. And that trope that’s like “yeah I’m a playboy but I’ll stop it all to have a chance to be with you again” is my favorite thing ever. Plus second chance. Honestly no complaints

I LOVED this book - Gen and Evan's hot and cold relationship and the ongoing tension between the two just completely captured my attention and I couldn't put the book down. I seriously read it in 2 sittings - it was so good. Avalon Bay captivated my heart in Good Girl Complex, and Bad Girl Reputation did not disappoint - I think I actually liked it better than the first book! Gen is a complex character, and I really appreciated the character growth she did. Similarly with Evan and his relationship with his mom and brother. The spice in this book was great too - thank you NetGalley for the copy!

This was a fun follow up to Good Girl Complex. I didn't expect to like it as much but I enjoyed Gen and Evans story a lot!

I liked this book and that it was an easy to read/low effort book, which can be perfect for me in the summer. I enjoyed the book but had a hard time connecting with the main characters. One of my favorite things about this book was the setting and some of the small town characters.

this series is the perfect addition to a summer stack of books!! it was really nice to see Evan and Genevieve’s story and get a perspective from both of them as to their messy history. Also really enjoyed seeing the previous characters Mac and Cooper, that’s always fun in these romance “series” that are written and read as somewhat standalones in the same author universe.

This is the second book in the Avalon Bay series. I was excited to read it, after enjoying the first book in the series. I thought Gen and Evan had really good chemistry, and I enjoyed the second chance romance trope in this book! I also enjoyed the small town beach setting for this book, it’s a favorite of mine! I didn’t love how toxic this book was though. That is what really turned me off from it. I am curious to check out the next book in the series though!

A quick, enjoyable book about two messy people trying find love again with each other.

This book was really fun.
I know Elle Kennedy from previous works of hers and I must say that she always outdones herself. It was a great book which focused a lot on characters and their development.
Can't wait to read more from her!

I will love Elle Kennedy forever. While her characters are not always likable, they are always realistic, and I enjoy the way she crafts their love stories.
