It's no secret that I love Chloe Liese's Bergman Brothers series. As I read each new book, I can't help but feel sad that we are slowly and inevitably coming to the end of the series. This book was incredibly sweet. With a grumpy-sunshine enemies to lovers storyline, we are treated to the budding romance between Oliver, a rising soccer star who suffers from anxiety and Gavin, who is reaching the end of his soccer career due to chronic pain.

I have nothing more to say on this one except it's another great novel to add to the series. I can't wait for the next book Chloe!

For all of you missing Ted Lasso, like me, look no further than this book. I have been so excited about this book, ever since Oliver’s larger introduction in Rooney and Axel’s book. When Chloe said this story would take on Ted Lasso vibes, with a grumpy Roy Kent, I was absolutely sold (lolz, like I wouldn’t have been either way).
Chloe absolutely nailed the grumpy/sunshine trope. As she does with all of her books, she eloquently addresses physical and mental illnesses. Gavin’s body is failing him after pushing it to the extreme through years of soccer. Oliver’s anxiety and coming to terms with his mental health. What I love about Chloe’s characters in the Bergman series, is they feel so real. You can truly relate to so many of her characters because they deal with the same issues you and I deal with. I only wish we got peel back more of Gavin’s layers and dive deeper into his background. I wanted more of the team too, the scenes we saw with them, they exuded AFC Richmond ❤️

Oh boy, was this worth it. I absolutely LOVED this book. This book is an MM romance between Oliver, the youngest Bergman brother, and his grumpy co-captain, Gavin. Their antagonism of each other turns so sweetly into some strong feelings and I ate it RIGHT up. Chloe’s writing is great – per usual – and the slow burn is spectacular. This was easily my favorite of the Bergman books, and this couple will stay on my mind for quite some time.

With each Bergman book, I fall more in love with the family and this one was no exception. In addition to Gavin and Oliver’s story, I adored the glimpses into the Bergman sibling. and significant others families. Babies and weddings and so much love.

Gavin and Oliver were such a delight to read and their grumpy/sunshine goodness was just perfection. Chloe once again gave us a wonderful love story that filled my heart with so much joy.

EFY has all the rivals to lovers, I hate that I want you, only one bed, bisexual/gay, anxiety rep perfection wrapped up in its pages and I adore it.

I've got a lot of (mostly positive) thoughts about this one, so many thoughts that it detracted from my reading experience. However, this is still head and shoulders above most of the books I've read this year. Liese has such a distinctive voice, creating these authentic characters who have real struggles and conflicts. That's what makes this such a unique series, and I'm always excited to read the newest installment. I loved both of these characters, and the grumpy/sunshine, opposites attract dynamic was a major win. I also loved how well these characters understood each other, and that made it a fulfilling read. There's so much to love about this one-of-a-kind romance that I hate that I can't give it a full 5-star rating, but there were definitely things that pulled me out of the story (more on that in a minute).

The story follows Oliver and Gavin, pro soccer players who have been teammates for the last two years. They've never gotten along, but the attraction that sparks between them is undeniable - even if they believe it's one-sided. Oliver (24) has looked up to former superstar Gavin (34) since he was young. Now a rising soccer star himself, Oliver's career is just hitting its peak while Gavin's is rapidly coming to a close. Gavin's body is giving out on him, but he continues to push it to its limits because he's not ready to end his career. When Oliver is promoted to Gavin's co-captain, it puts additional strain on their already-contentious relationship. But teaming up and finally acknowledging the things they've been keeping inside changes the whole dynamic between them.

As someone who doesn't typically read MM romances, I was both looking forward to this and also a bit wary. It was very easy to relate to both Gavin and Oliver - they're complex characters with such lovable personalities (even the grumpy Gavin). Their chemistry was also EXCELLENT, and there's some serious steam in this one. The MM aspect distracted me though, because Liese is known for her OwnVoices romances, and... that's clearly not something she's familiar with firsthand. I was curious to see how she would tackle it. This is also her love letter to Ted Lasso, and IT SHOWS. The parallels between the beloved TV show and this book just kept appearing; it was as if a younger Ted Lasso fell for Roy Kent. Gavin IS Roy Kent in so many ways (a grumpy, aging superstar with a dark beard, a marshmallow center, a career that he doesn't want to accept is coming to a close, and a need for someone sweet and loving in his life), while Oliver is very much Ted Lasso (a puppy dog who hides his pain behind a smile - he's even reeling from a breakup, tries to hide his panic attacks, loves his family, and has a tougher side that he doesn't show often). Add in a girl boss who appreciates receiving sweets, a soccer team, etc, and this FELT like Ted Lasso. Which, obviously, is an awesome thing in many ways, but it also served as a distraction from THIS love story. I could never just sit down and enjoy the book without my mind jumping to other things, and that's what dragged this down for me. There's a lot to love about the story, and I have to imagine that Bergman Brothers fans who haven't watched Ted Lasso are likely to enjoy it the most. I received an early copy and am voluntarily leaving a review of this sports romance.

Happy pub day to Chloe and the fifth Bergman brothers book!! I think the series has solidified that romance books with siblings in them are my fave — there’s just something about that long history and the welcoming of the significant other into the family and the endless teasing that gets me every time. And this book is no different — you go in already having an idea of who Oliver is and what he’s like but then omg a surprise time jump! Which was amazing because we get to see the other couples we’ve read about progressing, and Oliver gets the chance to grow a little. And did I mention he’s on a soccer team and his love interest is basically Roy Kent? Complete with cursing and emotional constipation — he’s perfect. So yeah, Ted Lasso fans, this is for you. It’s sweet and steamy and just so good.

Nurturing Love
Everything for You is another brilliant addition to the Bergman Brothers Series. It is full of emotion, humor, and family fun. Ms. Liese shines a light on anxiety representation and chronic pain representation, as well as, centers LGBTQ+ main characters in this story.

Ollie is the youngest of the Bergman Brothers. He is a magnificent soccer player, adoring uncle, loyal brother, and loving son. He is a nurturer to others and puts on sunshiny armor for the world. A coping mechanism that leaves him guarded and a bit lonely.

Gavin is a legend on the soccer field. He is blunt, brusque, and quite grumpy. His body is riddled with pain from injuries sustained throughout his career. A career that he is hanging onto by a thread. He uses his grumpiness as a shield to hide his pain and uncertainty.

The attraction between Ollie and Gavin is mutual, but for 2 years they have pushed each other's buttons. When they are forced to be co-captains, the sexual tension gets harder to resist. There are pranks, meddling Bergmans (especially Viggo), an adorable niece, interfering Seniors, and tender moments that will make you swoon. The growth and work these characters engage in is inspiring. This journey is a testament of patience, persistence, passion, and partnership.

Chloe Liese gives her fans what they’ve been waiting for with the fifth installment in her The Bergman Brothers Series which comes out on May 10th. Everything for You, which centers around the youngest brother of the bunch, may be Liese’s first LGBTQ+ romance, but still has all of the heart-warming inclusive themes that make her books so binge-worthy.

Did I actually binge read this book in a few hours? Yes.

Did I stay up until 3:30am to finish it? Also yes.

Honestly, just when I thought Chloe Liese’s books couldn’t get any better, she goes and writes Oliver’s books and makes me fall in love with her writing all over again. This book had queer representation, anxiety and mental health rep, and chronic pain rep all wrapped up into the most delicious enemies-to-lovers grump/sunshine romance ever. Not only are Gavin and Oliver amazingly written characters, the cameos from the rest of the Bergman Family is just the icing on the cake.

The plot was so perfectly paced out and the romance was simultaneously slow-burn, but not. Liese teases the reader along with the tension between our two main characters just enough to make the build up amazingly peak at the perfect point in the story.

I think I’ve reviewed all of the books that Chloe Liese has published to date and this one might be one of her best. All I can say is go read this book immediately and I’m not quite sure how I’m supposed to wait until 2023 to get the next book in this amazing series.

"I promise it all-my body, my soul, my life, for you, everything for you, to care for you and love you, if you'll let me."

Chloe has done it again 👏🏻. The short review is that this book is perfect and this series has my whole heart, so I couldn't recommend it more.

The long answer is here is a list of all the things I love about Everything For You:
- Nobody does grumpy/sunshine and multi-faced characters better than Chloe. Gavin is a gorgeous grump and veteran soccer player scared of what his future holds beyond soccer. He made my heart ache, he made me laugh and he made me swoon.
- Meanwhile, Ollie is pure sunshine. He's a considerate, joyful, rainbow-wearing, Hamilton-obsessed soccer player in his prime. But, struggling with anxiety, he "wraps my sadness in the blanket of cheerfulness."
- Chloe promised Ted Lasso vibes and she delivered. Gavin is 100% Roy Kent (complete with 'oi's, swearing and a nurturing quality hiding underneath his stoic armour).
- Their relationship was perfect. The chemistry! The tension and pining! The banter! The vulnerability! The SPICE! I loved every second.
- Another thing that was perfect? The pacing. I couldn't put it down.

What else can you expect?
- Enemies to respectable co-captains to lovers (pranks included).
- One bed!
- Age gap (34/24)
- Appearances from all the Bergmans and a cast of eclectic poker players. I just love this family so much and seeing them grow as the series progresses.
- An appearance from the beloved A-frame cabin too, home to all the grand gestures.

Chloe, thank you once again for gifting us this series. And thank you for gifting me an early copy of this book!

I love a sports romance and I really liked the idea of a newer player with an older player. However, it was really hard to figure out why these two liked each other, beyond that they lived next door to each other. There were some really great moments, particularly with the niece.

4.5 stars
I absolutely loved this cute queer read. This had such great tropes: enemies to lovers, grumpy and sunshine lovers… Absolutely cute. I also love that they were neighbors, almost like the “and they were roommates” lol But this was great, I enjoyed the slowburn progression of their romance.

All I want is to be a part of the Bergman family, is that too much to ask?

This is the fifth book in the series following Oliver Bergman, a professional soccer player and a total sweetheart. Oliver's teammate and next-door neighbor happens to be his idol and teenage crush, Gavin. Grumpy Gavin is near the end of his soccer career and is envious of the younger, fit, and super attractive Oliver, BUT he's also into him.

This is an age-gap enemies to lovers romance between two totally different men who must get over their own securities in order to be with each other. With swoon-worthy moments and steaming tension, this is for sure a Chloe Liese book.

I completely adored this book. I gave it four stars because I didn't like the pacing of their relationship that much but I will always love a grumpy/sunshine romance, especially when both characters try to work on themselves before getting together. That is something Chloe Liese is best at. Her books are so much more than romances, they are perfect snapshots of realistic people working through their own struggles and imperfections to become better partners. I fall in love with Gavin and Oliver and their truly opposites-attract love story and I cannot wait until we see the Bergmans again!

Picking up a book by Chloe Liese is like putting a soothing balm over a wound.
Nothing compares to the absolute sense of warmth and relief of reading about the Bergmans.

I loved every single book in the series and this story was no exception. I almost want to say olligavin are my favourite couple but then I remember how amazing each book couple is and I'm not so sure.

The book starts with two characters who are seemingly at odds but who unknowingly share similarities; They both want to feel love but are too afraid to fall in love and be vulnerable. Through Viggo, there are discussions on romance novels and what they bring you and I really loved the whole part of these novels having a romance element but apart from that, there is also character development and I am so proud of Oliver and Gavin for their own journeys. I loved reading about them both finally being vulnerable, seeing their flaws and accepting growth in order to accept each other.
The dual point of view in romance books is my kryptonite and both Olivr and gavin and their lustful, angsty thoughts were delectable. I love how they built that intimacy until the moment they gave in and finally admitted their love. I couldn't help, smiling, squealing and swooning.

I also loved how wonderfully the Grump/ sunshine mixed with he only one bed trope and sports romance category were developed; These are some of my favourite things to read about and the author actually reminded me why I love these things so much.

Of course, I LOVED reading about the whole family and getting glimpses of all the previous couples. And one thing I admire in these books is the way the author kindly treats so many topics in such a respectful and beautiful way. I think the anxiety rep was extremely well-done and I loved how queer but low-key it was; After reading this book, it only confirmed how addictive and excellent Chloe Liese's writing style is. I will always recommend this book.

Okay, this is another book from my TBR Takedown month. My Patreon peeps voted for me to read this and I'm so glad they chose it. Was it my first book ever from Chloe Liese? Yes. You might be saying, "Even though this is book 5 in a series, Kate?" Still yes. I'm annoying that way.

I'll start this off by saying that I got some read Nora Roberts MacGregor family vibes from this book in regard to the way the family was handled. Not the whole "grandpa setting everyone up" thing, but just the close knit family, everyone is supportive and loving and happy...thing. So if you like books with happy-go-lucky families featured, then this will be up your alley.

I am a huge fan of all the tropes in this book. Age gap, grumpy/sunshine, comfort/hurt...sports? Okay, not super into sports romances, but this book didn't make the actual playing as big of a thing so it was totally fine. It was more the *idea* of the sport.

Anyways, this book was cute and funny and sexy and touching and any other adjective or whatever you can think of. Definitely the perfect first read because I'll read more of Chloe. I've been following her on IG for a while and have really admired her promotion of mental health and acceptance and just her entire vibe, so she definitely earned a frequent reader in me with this book.

Since I started reading this series two years ago, Chloe has consistently introduced me to uniquely written characters. These characters are people I may recognize, or be, in parts in real life, but rarely do they appear in the pages of a book. Everyone deserves a love story!

Everything for You, a queer, m/m romance, and book 5 in the Bergman Brothers series, is absolutely everything and more we've come to know, expect and cherish from Chloe and the Bergmans.

This book is the compilation of so many fantastic tropes - enemies to lovers, workplace/sports romance, age gap, only one bed, opposites attract and the ultimate sunshine/grump. Oliver Bergman could not be more sunshine, he's singing sunshine incarnate. On the outside. Gavin Hayes is a grump of the highest order, so very, very grouchy and eternally annoyed by teammate and co-captain, Mr. Sunshine. Forced to work together as professional soccer player co-captains, each begin to peel back the protective outer layers of the other's behaviors and fears.

As with other Bergman stories this book is full of cackling hilarity, hot open-door romance, Bergman Brother Summits, the A-Frame of Dreams, diverse representation - here we see anxiety and chronic pain, and moments that crush your soul, make you cry, and literally cheer out loud

We also get Bergman babies, adorable Bergman uncles, Bergman weddings, so much soccer, football, footie, and a circle on a soccer field that brought me to tears

The combination of all of this in Chloe's magical writing make this a phenomenal read. I won't soon forget this love story. I adore the Bergmans!

I’ve finally busted this book slump! Thankfully, it resolved in time for me to read Everything for You by Chloe Liese.

It’s the fifth Bergman Brothers book, and focuses on one of the younger siblings, Oliver. He’s the sunshine to “Gorgeous Grump” Gavin Hayes. They’re co-captains of their professional soccer team, and of course have been pining for each other but kept their feelings hidden. Oliver doesn’t want another teammate romance to ruin his career, and Gavin is almost at the end of his due to injuries and pain, so starting a relationship with a rising star is out of the question.

BUT there’s only one bed. Pranks. Bergman sibling interference including weddings, Bergman babies, and Viggo’s romance references (I can’t WAIT for his book).

One of my favorite parts is a conversation where Oliver pushes Gavin emotionally to vocalize his feelings, and it reminded me of a scene where Ryder does the same thing to Willa when she’s in the hot tub. Of course, Ryder and Oliver are related and written by the same author so there will be intentional mannerisms written to show that. But I love that this little moment really let’s me see the connections between the siblings and how alike they are in some ways while also being written as individuals.
I loved it!

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC.

Read this book!!! And if you haven’t yet read this series please start. Every single one is such a joy to read.

Thank you @netgalley and @chloeliese for giving me this ARC for an honest review.

This one was an emotional one for me (I think I might always say that about Liese’s books). Some of the chapter songs chosen also wrecked me. Especially “Yellow” sung by Frankie Orella or Wildfire by Cautious Clay 🥺 Had a little book hangover after this one. Below are some quick hits!

🥅M/M grump sunshine enemies to lovers story
⚽️Gavin bringing the Roy Kent feels - a premiere league favorite nearing the end of his career
🥅Ollie with the Ted Lasso feels - a person that makes everyone feel special, always glowing for everyone else
⚽️Musical references - the Sweeney Todd one made me lol and break out into song
🥅Many layers of forced proximity
⚽️So much tenderness after so much angst
🥅Chronic pain and anxiety rep
⚽️Seeing where the rest of the Bergmans were gave me all the feels
🥅The soccer scenes - the teammate circle on the field for Ollie 🥺

I asked my husband to help with photos and I ended up liking the one without him 😬. Did I also attack him with mud, yes… I ended up including them too ❤️

I absolutely love a good enemies-lovers romance. Everything For You is the perfect grumpy/sunshine romance with loads of tension fueled animosity between two sparring soccer players. Oliver and Gavin are on the same team but are polar opposites. Oliver is the young, happy/sunshine rising star and Gavin is the jaded veteran of the team that suffers from chronic pain, anxiety and is a total grouch! he's particularly grouchy when it comes to Oliver. Things go from bad to worse when Oliver and Gavin are made co-captain of the team. They just can't seem to escape eachother considering they are also neighbors.

Everything For You is the perfect blend of enemies-friends-lovers, age gap and emotionally charged slow burn romance. The 5th book in the Bergman Brothers series. This witty and profoundly deep page turner will have you laughing out loud and have your heart swooning. I absolutely loved the host of characters and the bonds between them. The pacing of the story was perfect with past/present time jumps. I highly recommend this series and Everything For You. You will love the Bergman Brothers and the nosy meddling goings-on in the community.

An avid fan of the Bergman Brothers series/Chloe Liese, I've been looking forward to "Everything for You" for months. The youngest "man cub's" story was bound to be entertaining.

It was fun, to a degree, but, quite honestly, it read too much like Ted Lasso fan fiction. Gavin is a much less charming Roy Kent. Oliver's anxiety is a funhouse mirror version of Ted's- but it makes less sense.

There are dozens of nitpicky character behavior with the rest of the Bergman family and their significant other's that had me wrinkling my nose and saying, "Mmm...no. That doesn't track." Those little incongruities added up to one frustrated reader.

There were highlights- of course there were! The away game hotel scene? Loved it. Oliver's charm? On point. This quote that I felt deep in my soul: "Can we just let Leslie Odom Jr. sing the shit out of this song and sound like sex in a voice box?" YAAASSSSSS!!! There were glimmers and glints of the Chloe Liese I've come to adore, but this is the first time one of her books fell flat.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of Everything for You! Chloe Liese is an auto-buy author and this book proves that once again! I LOVED this! Once I started this book, I couldn’t put it down per the usual. As she stated in her Acknowledgements, this book reminds me so much of Ted Lasso and Gavin being the Roy Kent character was perfect. Chapter 30 and 31 are my favorite chapters by far because you gotta love when the grumpy clouds starts showing a little sunshine and breaking down their own walls. The grump and sunshine trope worked so well in this book along with the hotel room with only one bed?! Perfection as always. I want, no NEED!!!, Chloe’s next book and the next book after that! Thank you again for the ARC NetGalley!
