Sadly I was unable to finish this book and had to DNF it. The story had promise but it dragged too much at the start and I don't think the author's writing style is for me. I would have loved if it had been a little more face paced.

This book was great to read . I like the story format . Overall an awesome read. From the middle , it got more interesting. I heard about this book from my fellow bookworm friend.
The author definitely did a fabulous job in this book . Maybe one day I shall reread this book.
I would love to read other books from the author

Sadly I had to DNF this one as I just couldn’t get into the story, my attention was wandering and I just felt kind of indifferent about everything and everyone.

Ugh I love books like this!
Surprisingly, after all the books I've read, this one still surprised me with the plot and was new!

I received this book for free for an honest review from Netgalley.

Very thought-provoking. Definitely a little bit darker. I'm used to but I was very pleased with it.

Arc from netgalley *

So I only read the first book (or maybe the first and the second ? I'm not sure since the chapters continued on through the whole series). I ended up DNFing it. There's some things I liked, but others I didn't, so here's my thoughts :

Strong aspects of the book :
- The romance. It was a bit too insta love for my taste, but I still enjoyed it. It's probably the part of the book that kept me reading.
- The universe is cliché, but for all the good reasons. The world building was well integrated in the book and we had no info dumping. It was easy to understand.
- The battle between good and evil was more nuanced and the story was action packed !

Now what I didn't like :
- I didn't realised we would follow two female MC. In these type of books, I prefer to read from the FMC and the MMC. It's a preference on my part, so I didn't take off any stars because of this.
- I had a hard time connecting with the FMC. They are teenagers, sure, but they acted way younger than their age. I really don't understand why Tlahaz liked Adrianna. At all. Also, Emma was a bit worse, and I did not enjoy her POV.
- The writing style. It was okay, but sometimes felt a tad too childish. It wasn't consistent throughout the book.

Overall, this is the kind of book I might have enjoyed when I was really young. It's entertaining, even though the pacing is wonky (sometimes it's fast, sometimes it's really slow). Keep in mind this is only my opinion, you might enjoy it ! 🤌

It just wasn't my cup of tea. It took too long to actually start and the first book was a lot of word salad to make the deadline happen.

A completely satisfying story from beginning to end. Starts out with intensity and winds its way through every possible scenario. Couldn't get through it fast enough and yet didn't want it to end. The characters are always changing and evolving, keeping the reader on their toes with witty banter and a plot that carries them into trouble time after time. Emma has a great chosen one vibe happening, and her progression as a main character was interesting even through the high school drama. All she wanted was to find a place that could be home.

The first book in The Weapon of Fire and Ash series, is an interesting supernatural coming-of-age story. The story line was very easy to follow and sucks you in from the first page!

This was full of excitement, suspense, drama, and the stirrings of young love.

I thought this would be right up my street but unfortunately, I couldn't get into it. Such an unfortunate DNF

I had to DNF this one. I couldn't get into the story, I couldn't get into characters. I'm not quite sure where the Author was going with this but it wasn't it for me.

I knew going in that this would be up my alley. I thought this would be just a casual read but no I pushed aside the other book I was reading because the writing had me saying one more chapter pretty consistent. The ending though UGH the ending just left me empty and feeling a little cheated! One other side note: hated that Blaze became Taryn's familiar, it just didn’t quite work for me.

DNF at chapter 9 of book 1, 8% of total omnibus

I couldn't get into this book. It was too much like The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare, only not written as well. I just couldn't keep reading it was so cringe.

I'm going back and forth between 3 and 4 stars for this series. I ended up going with 4 because it really was a pretty good series. I liked most of the characters and the epic adventure of it all. My issues were the story felt all over the place sometimes and that ending! Spoiler alert - it felt too rushed and basically ended on a cliffhanger with no more books in the series

Ebook/Fantasy: This omnibus edition was my summer read, and it took a while. I want to thank Netgalley for a copy of the book.
If I remember correctly, it is three books. I really wanted a book that would enthrall me like City of Bones did. The beginning is pretty good with Emma. The second book, well if it wasn't an omnibus, I would have thought I'd picked up a different series at first. The third part is way out there. Adrianna was probably my favorite, but there wasn't any real substance or character building to any of the characters. I really felt the ending was like Frankenstein's Monster in pajamas in Young Frankenstein.
Granted, I am an adult reading a NA book so I get whining & bad decisions, but parts of this book were tedious (the 2nd book with all the dungeon visiting). My biggest peeve wasn't so much the 200 year old demons gawking at the teens (they are evil after all), but the author hooking them up. It's one thing to be attracted to the bad boy, but these men/demons were the girl's tormentors and needed to be killed.

Rating: 3/5 stars

Favorite Quote: "The chandelier". Emma pointed up at it, hoping to keep him from seeing her face catch fire.
"Yes, beautiful," he replied, his eyes never leaving hers.

Tropes:
-Good vs Evil
- Love Triangle
-plot twist
- 2 Povs (starting at book 2)

This contains the entire trilogy and novella. I was a bit taken back since I was not expecting it but, it was nice have the whole series in one place. This whole series has not one but, two badass females which was a pleasant surprise. This series falls under the epic fantasy and romance genre. I liked how the author took her own twist on the trope of good vs evil. After reading this series you can say that there is no clear distinction between the two.

The romance, world building, and plot twists made the series enjoyable. However, I can that this series was good but not my favorite. I felt at time the characters kept repeating the same mistakes throughout the series and after awhile it just felt repeatable and annoying. Also, it felt like certain actions in this series felt confusing and unclear due to a lack of explanation on what really happened or the reasoning behind the stated actions. I would recommend this book due to the enjoyment it did bring me but, would not be the series I would recommend.

This book contains all of the books in the Weapon of Fire and Ash series. To be honest I could barely get through The Mark of the Fallen Flame and I did read The Spellcaster's Weapon and I partially read The Throne of Broken Bones but I DNF'd the series after that.

The concept of the fantasy world sounded super interesting and that's why I originally requested the book on NetGalley. Essentially the book has the premise of being a story about good and evil fighting for the fate of the world with the author's own spin on the story. Unfortunately, as I started reading I wasn't interested in the book and I felt like I was forcing myself to read it.

The few things that I liked about the book is the the author's take of the good vs evil story with her spin on it where not everything is just good or just evil. I also liked the fantasy world that was created with some of the same mythical creatures that we can read about in other books but also new creatures I have never heard of. The author did include the love triangle trope which is one of my favorite tropes so I did enjoy reading that.

The things that I did not enjoy about the book was that many times throughout the book the characters were always repeating their actions too much. Barely a chapter would pass and the characters would be doing and saying the same things. I also did not like how there were so many things that had no clear conclusions or we had to wait for something to be wrapped up when it could have happened so many chapters ago. I understand the need to keep the story going, but it could have been approached a different way.

I think the author could have gone through another round of editing before publishing the books. I don't know if I would recommend this series but I will not read this version again. If the books ever get rewritten I would only then read them again and give my honest review.

Thank you to NetGalley and Bookwyrm Books for the opportunity to read and review this book.

Thank you NetGalley for giving me this Arc for an honest review.

I was unaware that this was three books in one, but the story had potential. The writing style was okay, easy to follow.

It seemed to have an urban fantasy vibe with demons and angels which I liked. I liked the differing POV’s and how the story progressed. I did only read book one, but will be going back to it at a later point.

I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. This is a set that includes a novella and the first three books in the series. It follows Emma and her best friend Adrianna. I have read a lot of books that pit angels against demons. I was not sure of this series when I started reading it. The pacing for the stories was good and moved it along well not to get stuck in the details. There were just even twists and turns to keep me turning the pages. I would have to look to see what else this author has and read more of their work.
