The idea behind this book was so sweet. It’s a wonderful way to explain the love a mother has for her children. The beginning was a bit wordy for a rhyming book which is why I gave it four stars instead of 5, but overall a very sweet and tender read.

I thought this was a sweet story about how much a mother loves her child. It's told in verse and has moments when the words become a little clunky making it very easy to trip up on the words and flow. The illustrations are bright, but weren't something I really enjoyed as well the that drop shadow that was behind the words.

It’s a cute book with bright illustrations. It’s one of those books like oh how sweet because it’s about a love a mom has for her son. While I can relate, it didn’t have the emotional impact I was expecting and that’s why I didn’t rate it higher. Still a sweet story for parents and children to enjoy together.

This is a very sweet ode to the love between a mother and child and "I love you an armful" is such a cute way to express it! The author's passion for storytelling and affection for their children shines through. The story is told in verse, but sometimes meter and word choice are sacrificed for the rhyme, so readers will need to be careful as they read as there are some points to trip up. The illustrations are simple but colorful and full of fun details for kids to notice. This would be a lovely bedtime or snuggle time book to remind kids how much they are loved.

Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review!

This was a very cute book. The illustrations were adorable, I loved the cat and dog in the story. The storyline was very encouraging and positive. It explained how the mother could love the child so much. The child was reassured that the mom loved him very much. I like how they gave a quantitative example of how and why the mother loved the child. It was something the child could imagine. This was a great book for little kids.

I Love You An Armful by Patricia Jo Murray is a fiction children’s picture book about a bond between a mother and son. The book has a modern cover. The story unfortunately lacks structural appeal and is very uneasy to follow while reading. I do not recommend this title.
