In this science book for a beginner reader is interesting. With easy words and plenty of pictures to see what animals and where do they live will make children understand better even can have fun with. You can ask them those animals when you watch TV with the kids, or point the animals out when you're travelling.

We LOVED this book! Stunning photography and detailed imagery helps keep kids engaged while meaning. We are always looking for engaging books about nature and science to use during preschool, and be used in a variety of topics! This is definitely a book I would purchase for my son!

This was a great Earth Day read for my 4-year-olds! They are not yet reading, but they were shouting out the names of animals on the page and I would point out the letters and sound out animal names. Words were simple enough for early readers to sound out. The animal pictures were bright and beautiful and kept my twins engaged.

Thank you NetGalley and Norwood House Press for this digital ARC in exchange for an honest review.

A cute, colourful little book for early readers introducing them to different habitats where animals live: forests, mountains, deserts, oceans, etc. The vivid photographs of the habitats and as well as of animals that live in each are sure to interest children and get them excited to learn more about wildlife and nature!

This educational book includes bright pictures, a reader guide, and the breakdown of animal homes into different habitats: prairie, salt water, fresh water, mountain, rain forest, forest, desert, and people's homes. I bet this would be a great book for teachers to use in a classroom setting; the text is a little dry, but scientific learning standards are explicitly described.

I'm sure the hard copy is easy to follow, but the digital format (in which you just scroll through all the pages top to bottom) is a little hard to follow: pictures of animals in a new habitat appear before the page that includes text about that habitat. I'm sure this issue isn't present in the hard-copy layout.

Thanks to Netgalley and Norwood House Press for providing me with a free advanced reader copy in exchange for my honest review.

What a great broad stroke book for young readers about animals and the different climates, structures, and conditions they live in. The photos are vibrant and interesting and will have kids observing animal homes in their real lives too.

This is an educational childrenโ€™s book about the places that various animals live. Illustrations are used to further connect the picture of the animal, where they live and to the descriptive words. Discussion is further used for reinforced understanding.

This book is obviously designed to use in the classroom to teach children about science in the real world, science as referred to language, and fluency of the words. Reading lists for high-frequency words and content words are enclosed. Additionally, references are included to teach children how to search for further information on a topic they may be studying.

Additionally, this book could easily be incorporated into learning modules for many other topics, such as art, or mathematics. As most children enjoy learning about animals and nature in general, this book would also be a good addition to any childโ€™s home.

I appreciate the authors, illustrators, and educators in the education of our children.

I want to thank Author Mary Lindeen, Illustrator Dr. Shannon Cannon, Norwood House Press, and NetGalley for the opportunity to review this Advanced Readerโ€™s Copy. This is a voluntary review, and all comments and opinions are entirely my own.

This book contains beautiful photographs of animal habitats from all over the earth as well as short paragraphs (1-2 sentences per page) with simple, decodable and high frequency words that will make this book perfect for young readers. Often non-fiction texts are inaccessible for young readers because of the content and vocabulary used. The author of this story obviously took time and care to make this book more accessible for young readers. As a grade 3 teacher I would say this book is likely in the grade 1-2 reading level range, but is appropriate for slightly older students who struggle in reading. It does not look like it is written for little kids, however the font and text would be perfect for students in the grade 3-6 range who struggle with reading or are learning English. The book also includes comprehension questions and prompts, a glossary, and word lists that adults can use to support reading. As a grade 3 teacher, I could see using this book in my classroom during our science unit on habitats. I would recommend this book for teachers and families of children in the 5-11 age range, with a focus on younger readers or older readers who needed lower leveled texts. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this wonderful book!

This book was super awesome. I like the vibrant photos and the descriptions of each animal along with their habitat. The pictures were large and engaging. This would be awesome for any children who love nature and learning more about animals. Even though my toddler is only three, this would be useful for him because he could identify the animals and habitats. The extra material in the back is definitely useful for older children and using in homeschool curriculums as well.

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for a digital review copy.

Very much an early reader โ€“ and designed to be used as a tool to learn book engagement almost as much as it is about the natural world โ€“ this takes us round the planet's different environments and habitats, and gets us used to the concept that different creatures have a place they'd each prefer to call home. So whether it's jungle, mountaintop, prairie or the deep sea we get two lines for each location, a scene-setting photo across the double-page spread and three images added on of the examples of fauna given. There's a bit of a quiz at the end, and other end matter for the person judging this for ease of comprehension and reading, but I doubt they'd have any issue with it. It's only going to be of use to each individual child for a short time in their reading life, but it will still be of much use to many school libraries' bottommost shelf.

A great educational book for children to learn the different environments that animals live in. A lot of different animals are featured in this book including both common animals and animals that might be new to children.

I love a good "worksheet" at the end of the book and love all the discuss questions included to get kids to continue to think even after the book is done.

Wonderful book about animals and their habitats. Where Animals Live is informative without being boring and is full of beautiful images of animals in their homes. The reading reinforcements section at the end of the book offers a bunch of different learning activities to share with your children to help them get the most from this learning resource.

My kids and I enjoyed the true facts about animals and their habitat about where they live. The photos are amazing! This book will make a nice educational book about where animals live. Really enjoyed this book!!

My kindergarten kids would love book! What appealed to me as an educator and a former librarian is the real photos of the habitats and the animals. It is so important to see what these animals really look like in the real places where they live. Kudos to the photographer.

Comic style animal stories are great but in my experience, students really enjoy reading about and seeing real animals!
