Ok this book was SO GOOD. Like the rich housewife drama and then the TWIST WTF. I literally gasped when I got to it. I also thing that the audiobook was a great experience. Each POV is voiced by a different narrator and they were all spot on to what I would assume the ladies would sound like. I also loved getting the POV of the villain of the group because she was so cunning and it was so enjoyable to hate her.

I would for sure recommend this book to anyone who enjoyed The Hunting Wives, The Lion’s Den, or The Siren.

This was like desperate housewives on SPEED! Very quick bingeable audio. Each character had an unlikable characteristic that still managed to draw you in. Definitely a fun destructive read.

I highly recommend this one on audio!

Buckhead; with the prestige, upper class housewives and the cheeky backstabbing, reminded me so much of Wisteria Line of Desperate Housewives! I absolutely adored and devoured it. The character built was beautifully done by the multiple POV and short chapters and I truly felt that I got to know the women. It is a fast paced, edge of your seat mystery. The ending was the cherry to the cake. I highly recommend the audio book; as it is done by 5 narrators it gave the story so much more body and I could not stop listening to it.

This is the third book I've read by Jeneva Rose. I absolutely loved and sped through her first two, however this one took me a month to get through and I even had to switch back and forth between audio and kindle versions. All the friends story sounded kind of like Real Housewives mixed with Mean Girls and could have used some comedy because it wasn't giving full on thriller or mystery vibes. And then the big twist was almost way too serious for this one. It seemed to come out of nowhere, there wasn't any build up of horror or trauma and the big job reveal could have been something less serious. Maybe it's just me, but so for several of the women to not really take it so seriously threw the ending off for me. I'll still read Jeneva's books but this wasn't her best.

Hello favorite read of April and quite possibly one of my favorite thrillers of the year! This was my first read by Jeneva Rose, and I basically devoured the audio for this one, I highly recommend listening to it if you can. It was very well done and an absolutely entertaining read!

Four women, one wealthy town, what could go wrong? A LOT, let me tell you, and I was here for all of it. Told from each woman’s POV, I loved how this was done and the insights were great. We have queen bee Shannon who has been dumped by her husband for a younger model, and she doesn’t take too well to this. The younger model is Crystal, a Texas gal who is young, naive, and doesn’t know what she is getting herself into, or does she? Olivia is eagerly awaiting the queen bee spot, after all, it’s really been she who should have been the queen all this time…. And then Jenny, who owns Glow, the most exclusive salon in town, she knows everyone’s secrets and desires….

You put these ladies all together and it is a glorious recipe for disaster, and in fact, there is an actual disaster that we learn of up front, but not all the details, so we are right there with the detectives and the ladies as we all work through the events trying to figure out what happened the night that… one of us is dead…

Haha sorry, I couldn’t resist! But really, this book is so good, it is entertaining, addicting, and I was caught off guard by that ending, I loved it! I cannot wait for this one to be in the world on Tuesday, 4/26 so that you can add it to your list and enjoy it as much as I did!

Oh. My. God. I loved this book so much. The juicy drama, the darkness of their lives - I couldn’t get enough! I thought I had the ending figured out but of course came a little twist. Some parts had me laughing, others had me saying “damn”. I felt like I was watching Devious Maids and Desperate Housewives. I completely tore through the audiobook and I loved how each character had a POV. I can’t wait to read other books by Jeneva Rose!

I really enjoyed this book! While I wouldn't necessarily consider this to be a thriller, it was a great mystery with a surprising twist at the end. The rich, snobby women were so awful but at the same time so entertaining! I thought that Oliva was the most interesting character...bless her heart!!

After being approved for the digital version, the publisher sent me a widget for the audiobook. I had planned to go back and forth between ebook and audiobook but ended up listening to the entire book because it was so awesome!! It had multiple narrators and they all did such a fantastic job and made it such a fun experience!

Oh the drama!!! If you’re a fan of the Real Housewives, Selling Sunset, and Big Little Lies, this book is for you.

Told from the perspectives of 5 women, there are so many secrets— the biggest being that someone was murdered. Similar to Big Little Lies, the book alternates between the current investigation and the events leading up to the murder (and you don’t know who was the victim until the end!). These women are not nearly as substantial as the ladies of BLL; instead, they bring in the low brow drama of Real Housewives and Selling Sunset. A fun read just in time for summer!

That’s the best way I can sum this one up… Drama drama drama!

This is a very fun and fast listen with Mean Girls vibes, even mentioning Regina George, and a twist I didn’t see coming! Having multiple narrators really brought this
one to life and I can recommend this as a fun summer mystery to add to your list!

If you love any of the Bravo reality TV shows, especially the Real Housewives series, then this is the book for you. It could easily have the title: “The Real Housewives of Glow Salon!” This book is full of catty drama with a little murder thrown in!

This book is full of rich bitchy backstabbing wifeys and I LOVED IT. I could not stop listening to this one until it's jaw dropping conclusion. It gave me immediate Hunting Wives and Big Little Lies vibes. If you enjoyed those books, I think you would like this one. The only person I liked was Jenny, the owner of the salon and maybe Shannon. I loved to hate Olivia. I liked how the salon setting was used for all of their meetings and gossip just like in real life. All of the husbands were gross "boys club" kinda guys. This was a fun read and easy listen. The cast of narrators was awesome.

Holy Hannah this book was AMAZING!! No surprise there though; I absolutely loved Jeneva's last book, The Perfect Marriage.

If you are a fan of domestic drama or the real housewives or the book Big Little Lies, I highly recommend picking this one up! This was was filled with rich, catty housewives and, of course, a murder.

One of Us is Dead is fun and juicy... full of gossip and drama! This one is perfect when you're looking for a fast-paced and entertaining read.

My ONLY complaint is to NetGalley for their audio!! Why must these audios have such a robotic or synthetic sound?? It's so hard to get past that and thoroughly enjoy the story.

But as for Jeneva's book? Five stars. :)

This is the second Audio I have been approved for through Netgalley (ironically both have been books by Jeneva Rose) but I truly can’t get past the robotic sound of the audio. It’s awful to listen to and it takes away from the story. I don’t even think it’s the narration but more so something to do with Netgalley because last time this happened, a kind person from publishing reached out and offered the book on a different platform/app and it was so different than what I heard on NG! I do have an e-copy of this and am looking forward to reading that before pub day! I’ve heard great things about this one already!

It’s all about power, money and manipulation in this town and this circle of women knows how to play their cards to win at any cost.
Jenny is a beauty bar owner where she is a one stop shop for all her clients needs. She can only have 20 clients and yes she charges out the ass for these gossip monsters.

All was well until one of there own was divorced by their husband for a younger model and things started getting dirty quick.

This is a book, you despise the characters and wish most of them will die by the end to make this world a better place.

If you look at fancy houses and wish you could be rich, read this and you might change your mind and realize life is good right where you are!

There is a cast of narrators and they all did a tremendous job.

There is nothing like salon gossip and a bunch of ladies with too much time on their hands! I loved every moment of this deliciously drama-filled story....and that ending! If you enjoy domestic dramas, you'll want to grab this one. Bravo on another fantastic novel Jeneva!

Told from the perspective of five frenemies: Olivia (queen bee-yotch), Shannon (divorced and disgraced) Crystal (new hot young wife), Karen (the only mom in the group) and Jenny (the salon owner privy to everyone's secrets), One of Us is Dead read like a mashup of Real Housewives meets Big Little Lies. All of the women in Buckhead Georgia have secrets and most of their husbands are turds. They say, "Buckhead wasn't a place you lived. It was a place you survived." Alas one or more of the characters won't survive after these secrets come to light.

The salon setting reminded me of watching Steel Magnolias back in the day, a place where everyone congregates and gossip is served up under the hair dryers. This one is for those who love to read about rich people behaving badly and {hopefully} getting what's coming to them.

I read this in a single sitting. Loved having multiple narrators Andi Arndt, Hillary Huber, Elizabeth Evans, Brittany Pressley, Cassandra Campbell do the voices for the different female characters. Listening to the book really brought it to life. I felt like I was immersed in a soap opera.

True rating: 3.5 stars rounded up for Goodreads.

This books was WONDERFUL! Rich housewives in their worst behavior while readers know a murder is at the end was a huge selling point for me.

I loved all the POVs of the characters. Yes all the characters are vapid and selfish, but that’s what makes this so juicy!

I was completely hooked on this book and couldn’t put it down! I think this will be a perfect summer read while you’re lounging by the pool.

This Desperate Housewives-esque thriller is so addicting that I couldn't stop listening! The suspense lasts until the very last chapter and the journey to get there is just as messed up as you'd expect once you get to know the crazy rich protagonists.

Jenny is a hairstylist with her own salon called "Glow", which is home to all the rich women in town. She's also a self-proclaimed "therapist" to her clients because they tell her everything, including their deepest and darkest secrets.

The three most important of these clients are Olivia, Shannon and Karen. Olivia is her most complicated client: she's self-absorbed and cruel. Shannon has been left by her politician husband, Bryce, for a much younger woman called Crystal. Karen owns a luxury real estate firm and has a 5-year-old son.

There's a whole lot of intrigues, cheating and extravagance happening in this story until it leads to one of the characters ending up dead. The possibilites as to what could have lead to this death are endless and as the story unfolds it gets clearer and clearer that these women would do everything to uphold their status and money.

The narration was very well done, as the characters were captured perfectly and you could immediately tell which of them was speaking. It almost makes the listener feel as if they're in on all those spicy secrets!

Definite recommendation!
