Second in the Series, Mistletoe and Mulled Wine at the Christmas Campervan brings us back to Lucy and Jack. Will they find romance this Christmas? Or will Santa fill their stockings with coal and loneliness? This Christmas Lucy feels that her life is finally on track. Her cottage is feeling more like home. Her pizza business is taking off. Just as all seems well, the past returns. Will this be the end? I love the characters in this book. They are fun and have their quirks. I have not read the first book but was still able to follow the story. I plan to find the first book to read and look forward to the next. I received a copy through Netgalley. A review was not required.

Lucy has a horsebox that has been converted into a mobile pizza van
Jack has a vintage VW campervan which has been converted into a mobile cocktail bar
They have just started a relationship and often end up at the same events with their respective vans. But Lucy isn't convinced that Jack feels the same way she does
Can they work it out ?

This is book #2 in the Cosy Campervan series. Whilst it is part of a series, it can easily be read as a standalone book. I must admit, shamefaced, that I’ve not read the first book in the series so Ruby the Campervan is a new one to me! How delightful though is the little charming cocktail campervan, along with the pizza horsebox! All sounds a bit strange? It really isn’t though! The campervan is owned by Jack and the pizza horsebox (a horsebox converted into a mobile pizza place with an authentic pizza oven!) is owned by the lovely Lucy! They travel around to events to provide catering and drinks, and Jack and Lucy are also in a bit of an on/off relationship!

This was a wonderfully festive story! Take away Jack and Lucy’s storyline and I’d have been just as happy reading about the Christmas festivities, sparkling cocktails and the most amazing sounding pizzas! Lucy is a lovely character and I loved how she’d worked hard to get the pizza horsebox into a viable business! I wasn’t as keen on Jack’s character though and he seemed troubled by issues in his past, which has an impact on his early days relationship with Lucy. Their storyline was interesting though, and I loved reading about the Christmas markets they went to, which really got me into the Christmas spirit! I also loved meeting again some characters from this author’s previous books who were cleverly integrated despite being in different series!

The storyline was heart-warming with plenty of fun, love and friendships! It will also get your tastebuds tickling, especially with a recipe list at the back of the book for all the lovely food and drink featured throughout. Grab yourself a blanket, a glass (or two) of mulled wine and a slice of Christmas pizza and settle down for a truly delightful Christmassy romantic read!

Mistletoe and Mulled Wine at the Christmas Campervan, by Caroline Roberts, is a charming British rom-com, and the second in a series. In the story we follow Lucy, owner of a pizza campervan, who travels along the coast cooking and serving gourmet pizzas, and Jack, who also owns a campervan and sells festive cocktails. These two were once competitors, but now are something more. But of course, things are never simple or easy. We have an estranged best friend, issues from the past that both are dealing with, and everyday antics of life on the move.

This story is steamier than one would expect, but also sweet, cozy and descriptively scenic. It’s filled to bursting with Christmas cheer and is a light-hearted seasonal read that you won’t want to miss.

This is a Christmas Chick Lit/Romance, and this is the second book in the Cozy Campervan series. I have not read the first book in this series, but I think you can read this book as a standalone without any problems. I am planning to go back and read the first book in this series. I fell in love with all the characters in this book. I loved the campervan food truck idea that was going on in this book. The ending was so great, and I felt you could really feel what the characters were feeling. I really enjoyed this read, but it did take me awhile to get into this book. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (One More Chapter) or author (Caroline Roberts) via NetGalley, so I can give an honest review about how I feel about this book. I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.

This is book two in Caroline's Cosy Campervan Series. I read and loved book one so if you love a British seaside romcom, then Caroline’s rather unique tale surrounding Jack’s Cocktail van and Lucy’s Pizza van is sure to hit the spot. Reading book one is recommended as Jack and Lucy’s relationship continues in this sequel.

There is much to enjoy about these tales with everything from starting a new business, to the actual venues that these catering vans attend. For each event Caroline includes an invitation which sets the scene by giving the location, time and actual event eg. wedding. It is a wonderful way to travel the English countryside. The characters and storylines are relatable.

‘Don’t know where the time is going, November is whizzing by … Christmas’ll be here before we know it.’

As a run up to Christmas Lucy and Jack are attending events of the more festive variety and it is a joy to witness. Many magical moments from the snow and carols, to the mulled wine from one of Jack’s cocktails or a slice of Lucy’s festive pizza.

‘I love doing the Christmas markets, there’s such a wonderful feel about them.’

It was enticing to have the story not in the usual Cornwall locale where most of these tales tend to be set. Instead, it is in north east England in the beautiful Northumberland! Traveling that fabulous countryside in a classic campervan to a Castle for a Christmas market was such a treat!

‘Ooh, you can’t beat a bit of festive fizz,’

For pure escapism and a tale of friendships, broken hearts, loss, and finding courage - look no further! With wintry weather readers will relish browsing the Christmas markets sipping one of Jack’s cocktails whilst biting into one of Lucy’s yummy pizza slices. What’s not to love when crafts, carols and cocktails are on offer in an ancient castle?

This is the second in the Cocktail Campervan series, but can easily be read stand alone.
I loved visiting Lucy and Jack again, in this lovely festive story, as they both fight with their pasts, to be able to have a happy future.
A few characters from previous books popped up too, which I loved, although again you don't need to have read previous books.
A real page turner and great story - I read in one sitting on an overnight long haul flight!!

The second in a series but can be read as a standalone. Rival food/drink truck owners, Lucy and Jack, have chemistry. Lucy's ex is a spanner in the works. Bring on Christmas cheer, wintry weather, a beautiful setting and a cute dog. Can love blossom at this magical time of the year. A great follow on from book one with the lovely characters making a reappearance.

An exceptional feel-good read by Caroline Roberts. A compelling story-line, and realistic characters with a christmassy setting.

A lovely easy read set in the stunning location of Embleton in Northumberland. A perfect setting, written with local knowledge and the right local dialogues.

Enjoyed the story and romance growing and the way a dramatic turn was written in.

Really enjoyed it.

This is the second book in the campervan series which continues the story of Lucy with her Pizza truck - All Fired up and Jack with his cocktail campervan - Ruby. At the end of the last book they had officially become a couple and Lucy's fledgling business was going from strength to strength. As with the last book some of the chapters start with an invite to an event to set the scene which I think is a brilliant idea.
I love the setting of Northumberland - the descriptions are beautiful and really make me want to visit again soon and even though the story starts in October the thought of a paddle in the sea brought a smile to my face. The characters are believable because they are flawed just like the rest of us and the sound of the food and drink made me want to try everything.
The description of the Christmas markets and events have really got me in the seasonal mood. A beautiful sequel (with guest appearances from other Caroline Roberts books) which I am sure you will enjoy.

Thanks to the publishers and Netgalley for an advance copy of this book in exchange for a review.

This is the second of the Campervan series and Lucy's All Fired Up Business is starting to take off and her relationship with Jack also appears to be on the up, much to the disgust of her best friend.

Fun, festive read.

I was lured by the first novel in this series, The Seaside Cocktail Campervan as it is set in Northumberland, my hometown. This book, Mistletoe and Mulled Wine at the Christmas Campervan is the follow-up to that. Lucy has her own pizza business, All Fired Up which she operates from her van and old horsebox, fully revamped. Looking ahead, Lucy hopes to share a few kisses with Jack Anderson under the mistletoe at Christmas, who is the owner of the Cocktail Campervan, a red VW. Lucy travels to events in her mobile pizza van, taking her black-and-tan rescue Dachshund, Daisy with her who sleeps in the back of the van. Now, it's October and business is slowish; Lucy hits on an idea to have a pizza and Prosecco party at Cove Cottage to thank the villagers for their recent support.

This was a delightful little tale for me and I loved the mention of the village of Embleton where Lucy has her cottage. In an endearing story, Lucy and Jack are both struggling with inner turmoils; Lucy has been friends with Becky since they were at school together but now they are barely speaking and it's all because of Jack. But at least Liam, her ex-fiancé has gone from her life and she's sold the new build she had with Liam. Jack is wondering if he has it in him to settle down for good.

Blend together a great locale, a quirky dachshund, wintery weather, plenty of scrumptious pizza, some delectable sounding cocktails, browsing around Christmas markets and soupcons of breezy romance and you have a lighthearted, dazzling read. This one is sure to make you smile.

This review was written voluntarily and my rating was in no way influenced by the fact that I received a complimentary digital copy of this novel from One More Chapter via NetGalley.

I love a Christmas romance, to be fair, any romance full stop is a good time for me but the lights, family (plus mulled wine) at Christmas makes for the perfect book and this one ticked all the boxes of a good romance.

This was a lovely festive read and I enjoyed how the characters took shape, dont read it when your hungry there is a lot of "foody" description, curl up with a hot chocolate and enjoy.

This was a bit of a miss for me. I was quickly losing interest in the day to day and felt no real connection with the plot, hiccups and all. I found the characters to be a bit whiny compared to the first counterpart. My thanks to the publisher for the eARC, but this just wasn't my cup of tea at the time of reading.

Man oh man do I love a christmas novel.

I didn’t read the first story in this series, but still enjoyed this!

I loved the characters. I loved the idea of a holiday food truck. I loved the heartwarming ending we need in a holiday story.

Lucy is finally getting into the swing of her pizza van business. She is beginning to feel that she might just have it all. She is working hard to make her new business successful and feels lucky in love in her new relationship with Jack, who owns the Christmas Cocktail Campervan, Ruby. As the holiday season draws near, both Lucy and Jack begin to find themselves looking at things a little differently. The holiday season will be a test to their relationship, especially when disaster strikes.

This is the second in The Cosy Campervan series and while I had not read the first one, I felt there was enough background to not feel lost. The scenery gave great winter and holiday vibes. It definitely had me grabbing a cup of tea and curling up under a blanket. While it was a quick, enjoyable story, I don't feel as if it drew me in enough to go back to read the first book or pick up any others. Definitely something to pick up though if you want a quick wintery/holiday read that doesn't make you think a ton.

Lucy is back in her horsebox Pizza Van, cooking those delicious sounding pizzas and she is invariably near or alongside, Jack with his red Cocktail Campervan, shaking up his latest concoction to delight the customers. They are still in the early days of their relationship.

But it is not without it’s troubles. Lucy has fallen out with her best friend Becky, who knows Jack’s reputation of old. Becky just doesn’t want Lucy to get hurt. When Jack stats behaving strangely, Lucy begins to worry and worry even more when her ex-fiancé turns up wanting to get back together.

In the run to Christmas, where the events that Lucy and Jack are attending are of the festive variety, this really takes you away to all those wonderful magical moments. I can smell the mulled wine, I can taste the festive pizzas, I can feel the cold as I wend my way amongst all the twinkling lights and cheery carols.

Amongst all this festive cheer though, Jack and Lucy are perhaps not being honest with each other, when events mean they are forced to confront their doubts and declare their feelings, something else momentous happens which could ruin it forever.

This is the perfect escape into Christmas and I loved the fact that the author has pulled the main characters from her other wonderful novels and given them a guest appearance which adds to the community feel of the book. I felt festive, full of delicious food and drink and wanted to embrace every Christmas Market I possibly could find! The book is magical and I hope we get to go back for a cocktail or two with Jack and Lucy at some point again.

This was a pleasant story.
The main characters, Lucy and Jack, are likeable and fun and I loved the descriptive side of the book. Christmas fayres, snowy castles, etc.
I would have preferred a little more to happen in this book. It bobbed along towards a fairly inevitable conclusion.
Really not a fan of starting so many sentences with oh, ooh, ah or ahh though!
