Nell is unhappy with her life.   She recently had her heart broken by her ex-boyfriend, and her best friend, Meagan, just died from cancer. Meagan's final wish was to have her ashes scattered on top of a mountain in the small town she grew up in, Tansy Falls, Vermont. But there's a catch: Megan wants Nell to do it, and she has planned a two-week itinerary for Nell to follow. Nell must get out of her comfort zone and travel from her home in England to Vermont, U.S.A. Meagan knows that Nell needs this experience. But will she benefit?

Make sure you are ready to read by keeping tissues nearby because this book will make you go through many emotions. But don't stress, because it's not all sad emotions. For example, Nell's itinerary has letters that Meagan composed, and they are filled with wit, humor, and encouragement. The letters and itinerary help build Meagan's character and give the reader a sense of who she is.

Back to why you should read this: it's full of self-discovery, friendship, fun, and new experiences. Besides the amazing atmospheric setting, there is also a romantic love interest. Although it is a slow burn, in my opinion, that's exactly what Nell needs.

"The world is your cow, honey - you just gotta do the milking!"

This is a good book. The two main characters are Nell and Jackson. Nell is from England and has come to Tansy Falls to spread her best friend’s ashes on Maverick Mountain. Jackson lives in Tansy Falls with his son. Nell meets him when she is doing the list that her best friend left for her visit to Tansy Falls. Her best friend requested she go to the house that her aunt and uncle used to own. The house now belongs to Jackson. They each have issue but together they work them out and fall in love.

Sometimes after reading a little of a book, you know exactly how they will end. Sometimes this is a bad thing; do you keep reading or start reading another book? Sometimes it's a wonderful thing because you want it to end exactly as it does; maybe one or two surprises along the way. Even though an ending I am happy with always beats a happy ending, sometimes I get both. This is such a book, and I've spoiled nothing.

Nell is the type of person anyone would want to be friends with, although she doesn't seem to think so. She believes her best friend, who has died from cancer, fit that bill, even more so after she is sent on a quest by her friend, Megan, to spread her ashes in a town in America. She has an itinerary and two weeks. She meets all sorts of people, mostly good, some, not so much.

This book had me reaching for tissues one minute, laughing out loud the next. I can't wait to read the second book in the series, which will have some familiar characters, but a totally different story.

Thank you, NetGalley for the chance to read and review a copy of this book. All opinions are mine and freely given.

Unfortunately DNFd but rating higher bc it was interesting and we’ll written. This book was outside my genres so I think that has something to do with it and it was also pretty slow paced. Not really my type as I like books that pull you in from the first 50 pages or so. This one didn’t do that for me. But it was very well written and I think the plot was probably going somewhere great. I hope to retry one day.

this was a slooooow burn and you never really get to the burn part. You have a bit of back story with the MC, but only in one aspect of her life. You don't get to know her enough to care about her.

The romance was completely unbelievable. They don't have any dates, and then at the end they have dinner and are suddenly IN LOVE. They haven't had more than 5 conversations!

It took me 3 weeks to read and I probably should have DNF'd it.

An adventure that was interesting to be sure! I couldn't put this book down until I finished!
This beautiful story will have your emotions all over the place but yet at the same time feeling hopeful.
There is always a light at the end of the tunnel they say.
I loved the setting of Vermont. Simply beautiful! A place that I'd never been and probably never will. But, through this book I was able to.
The descriptions made me feel like I was there.
I'm still thinking about Megan and Nell. Most especially Nell. Grief is a hard thing.
The author has done well with this novel.
I very much enjoyed this story and I highly recommend it.
True love at its best in my opinion.
5 stars for some excellent writing.

The Inn at Tansy Falls by Cate Woods follows the journey of Nell after the death of her friend Megan. Megan has sent her from her home in London to a small town in Vermont. She leaves daily instructions for her that end up with life changing results. The imagery and characters make you want to visit Vermont. The story is an easy read feel good story. The inn at Tansy Falls by Cate Woods is a solid feel good book. It is a fast read and I enjoyed the main character, Nell who was sent to Tansy Falls by the wishes of her friend Megan, who had recently passed away from cancer. Megan sets up both the trip to her hometown, and an itinerary for Nell to follow in order to help Nell with her grief and her own recent personal problems. I had assumed this was a stand alone book but it appears it is book one of a series. I look forward to reading the next book! Thank you NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for the chance to read this ebook.

Another one I don't know how to classify or how I feel about. There is nothing overly offensive about the book or the story but at the same time it failed to capture and hold my attention or be an emotional rollercoaster.

The Inn at Tansy Falls had me feeling all of the feels. The story begins with sadness but ends with happiness. Nell's best friend Megan has just passed away from cancer but she leaves behind a simple request, for her friend to scatter her ashes in the town of Tansy Falls. Megan also includes an itinerary of places that she loved as a child and wants Nell to explore while there. When Nell arrives she quickly falls in love with the town and its residents, including a single dad who she finds herself attracted to.

This was such a magical book. The writing captured all of the emotion and feelings and made me not want to put it down. I do hope there will be a sequel since I can’t wait to see what happens in Nell’s future in Tansy Falls.

Thank you NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for this ebook.

This is my first book by this author. I loved it and can't wait to read more. Nell looses her best friend to cancer. But before she died she wrote nell a letter and a todo list to accomplish in Tansey Falls as well as scatter her ashes. Along the way she meets many of the town residents. My favorite is the general store owner. (Of course I can't remember her name now). This book does make you feel many emotions as it went along. Definitely a 5 star. A must read!

What an enchanting story that deals with overcoming grief. When her best friend dies at the young age of 34, Nell is devastated. Her friend spent summers and vacations at a small town in Vermont and writes a letter asking Nell to spread her ashes in the beloved town of Tansey Falls.

Nell packs up the ashes and her belongings for a 2 week vacation. See Megan has provided her with an itinerary of all the special places in Tansey Falls for Nell to experience and determine the best spot to spread her ashes. Along the way she meets new and eccentric characters who help her. She learns to open herself up to new experiences and view the world as one big adventure.

I really enjoyed this one : a 5 star read for sure.

Dearest Nell, if you’re reading this letter, I’m already gone…
You’re my best friend in the world, and as my last request I’m asking you to lay me to rest hundreds of miles away, in my crazy gorgeous, totally one-of-a-kind hometown of Tansy Falls. I know you’re a born-and-bred city girl, but hear me out. After first losing Adrian, and then me… I know your heart is hurting, Nell. I think you’ll find that you need Tansy Falls as much as I do.
So, I’ve got it all planned out. For two weeks, you’ll be staying at the sweet, local inn and every day you’ll be trying something new. And if you follow my instructions to the letter, you may discover there’s more to my story than you think. A surprise something… or someone at the end of it? Only you can find out!
Some last advice before you set off, Nell. Don’t forget your sturdy boots and make sure to give Boomer, the inn’s resident dog, a belly rub from me. Stay well away from former quarterback Brody Knott (boy, do I have some stories about him!). And finally, let the future bring what it brings. While Tansy Falls may look small, I know better than anyone that new beginnings can be found in all kinds of places. That little Vermont town you’d never heard of? Well, it might suddenly begin to feel just like coming home…

First off, let me say, make sure you have a box of tissues nearby when you read this. Every time Nell met someone Megan knew growing up, told them who she was and how she knew Megan, and their eyes lit up and then she had to break the news that Megan had died of cancer the month before, I broke down crying..... EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. This book reminded me a bit of "P.S. I Love You" by Cecelia Ahern, in the way Megan gave Nell a letter to open after her death and a new letter to open each day for the two weeks that she spent in Tansy Falls, with each one outlining something specific that she wanted Nell to do or a specific place that was special to Megan that she wanted Nell to go visit. Then there was a final surprise at the end that Megan had left for her, and it sets the stage for the next book. I know I am already anxiously awaiting it! This is perfect for fans of Cecelia Ahern, Nicholas Sparks, Debbie Macomber. I highly recommend it!

Welcome to Tansy Falls, Vermont! Nell has just recently lost her best friend and her longtime boyfriend within months of each other and a trip from London to Vermont sounds like the perfect way for her to re-center and take a break from her usual life. Travel with Nell as she follows her best friend's itinerary of stops in Tansy Falls, meets the locals, and falls in love.
This book was a breath of fresh air and despite the unappealing thought of "mud season", I was happy to curl up and read about the beauty of Vermont. Even though it is early spring, you can almost feel the crispness in the air, the cold bits of winter still hanging on, but you'll warm up as you read about places like the general store and go to learn about maple sugaring. I had to have waffles with real Vermont maple syrup after reading that chapter!
Cate Woods has done a terrific job painting an idyllic small town in Vermont that will have you almost packing up your gear and heading for the wilderness too. Go out there, seek out a small town, and meet people too, you won't be sorry you did and when you do, think of Nell and her journey.

For every ending there is a new beginning. This book starts with grief and ends with self discovery. Nell's best friend Megan has just passed away from cancer. She leaves behind a simple request, for her friend to scatter her ashes in the town of Tansy Falls. Megan also includes an itinerary of places she would love Nell to explore while there.
When Nell arrives she quickly becomes enchanted with the town and meets some colorful locals, including a single dad who she finds herself attracted to. Seeing the town through Nell's eyes is enchanting. From the cozy inn to the high mountain peaks, the author describes a place that is magical.
The story flows beautifully and I cannot wait to read the next book in the captivating world Cate Woods created.
