I really enjoyed this charming romance and vow to read the other books in the series. The characters were loveable and it was a good escape read.
Many thanks to Avon and Harper Voyager and to NetGalley for providing a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.

The premise of this book sounded cute but i wasn’t a huge fan on the execution. Roan was just a little too caught up in his deceased wife and it made his and Jazzy’s relationship seem a little disingenuous. But I admit that typically I am wary of books about widowers so that could just be my preference. Throw in how Jazzy is obsessed with beating her nemesis and it just got to be a little too juvenile. I know the nemesis is a mean girl but it doesn’t help how absolutely obsessed Jazzy was with one-upping her. Some smiles and fun (love Charlie, Jazzy’s best friend) and a nice bit of Christmas spirit! Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and author for an early read.

I understand that this is #13 in the series, the 1st I have read and thought it was a standalone. It’s a feel good Christmas story in the small town of Twilight, TX. Jazzy is a pediatric nurse who is Ms. positivity, always looking for the good in everyone and everything. Roan is still trying to get over his wife’s death two years ago, raising their adorable 4 year old daughter. He crosses paths with Jazzy when his daughter is admitted into the hospital for a tonsillectomy. Jazzy heart goes out to the sad handsome looking cowboy and debates how to bring a smile to his face.
Both characters have some past baggage and the is a 10 year age difference to overcome. A fast read, typical holiday HEA story, wished they shared some of the cookie recipes. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own. #NetGalley #TheCowboyCookieChallenge

Super sweet story! It’s impossible not to root for Jazzy and Jazzy & Roan! This is a light, feel good story - a perfect escape-from-reality read. Just right for curling up with a cozy blanket and enjoying a break!

Lori Wilde is a new to me author, but I'll be looking for more of her titles to read after plowing through The Cowboy Cookie Challenge.

The title had a great blend of romantic encounters with tension a plenty.
It also had me imagining trying to bake cookies in a cast iron dutch oven..

The Cowboy Cookie Challenge by Lori Wilde is book #13 in the Twilight, Texas series. This is a sweet romance. Jazzy Walker thinks widower Roan Sullivan's help is her best chance to beat fiance-stealing Andi Browning in the cookie challenge. Turns out Roan is not able to overcome his attraction to Jazzy. Their road to a HEA was fun to read about. I enjoy the Twilight, Texas series but this was not one of my favorites in the series.

When I think of Lori Wilde, I think of cowboys and Christmas. Her books make you want to curl up in front of a fire and read until your heart's content. Granted it was 85 degrees outside when I read this one but, in my heart, it was still Christmas, and the snow was falling. Great books can whisk you away like that. Jazzy is the most positive person ever - even though her nemesis, Andi has made it a lifelong passion to make Jazzy miserable. Jazzy is determined to win the campfire cookie challenge and beat Andi. She just needs to convince Roan Sullivan to not only teach her how to build a campfire but bake over one as well. It won't be easy, to beat Andi or convince Roan, but Jazzy has lots of determination. A widower with a young daughter, Roan is 10 years older than Jazzy. Jazzy doesn't see an age difference, but Roan does. She has her work cut out for her. Good thing she always looks on the bright side.

The Cowboy Cookie Challenge had two can't miss subjects for me right in the title: cowboys and cookies. Seriously, how could I not pick up a copy of this book. I liked the cookie challenge plot of the book and felt that it added both lighthearted and serious moments. But the relationship between Jazzy and Roan was the real winner her. With an age gap plus a widower situation, their feelings were certainly complicated, yet so strong at the same time. I enjoyed reading The Cowboy Cookie Challenge and would definitely recommend it.

Thanks to Netgalley and Avon and Harper Voyager for this ARC; this is my honest and voluntary review.

The Cowboy Cookie Challenge is a baking challenge with a difference. First the cookies have to be baked in an iron cast.pot and second they have to be original recipes. Now I don't bake but ever since I finished the book I've been craving cookies with coconut, chopped pecans, and chocolate chips. Let me know what you think .yes or no.

All of their lives Jazzy and Andi had been in a competion.with each other. Jazzy was the cheery friend of everyone and And was the cut throat mean girl who stole.Jazzy fiance. When Andi signed up for the cookie bake, so did Jazzy. Past winner Roan, after hearing Andi insult Jazzy and buy the last cast iron pot on sale, decides to help her, although he hasn't cooked since his wife (his cooking partner) died.

Love blooms as Roan, Jazzy, and his daughter Trinity get acquainted. Trinity is definitely the glue that brings this couple together, and Roan is a cowboy filled with guilt for thinking about starting a new relationship. Jazzy, at times, made me me want to shake her for letting people walk all over her. But then, we are who we are.

This is a cute predictable story. The competition between Jazzy and Andi got a bit tedious but on the whole it is an enjoyable read. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.

Jazzy Walker is a nurse in pediatrics at the local hospital and Roan Sullivan is a single dad whose daughter just had surgery. Jazzy ex-boyfriend is newly engaged to her nemesis. Andi always seems to best Jazzy at everything and is rubbing it in she is engaged to her ex. Jazzy doesn't want him back but would love to show Andi up at something.
This year's cookie challenge is campfire cooking and Roan is an expert. Jazzy convinces Roan to teach her how to bake cookies over a campfire. Roan thinks he's too old for Jazzy since there is a ten-year gap.
I loved watch Roan let go of his dead wife and Jazzy realize she never really loved her former boyfriend. You get to visit some of the old spots in town and new people.
Overall, a great Christmas book.

Lori Wilde has produced another delightful Twilight, Texas offering that is centered around Christmas. In "The Cowboy Cookie Challenge' Jazzy and Roan are relatable characters with real life problems. I was especially appreciative of Jazzy's cheerfulness in spite of life's hardships. I am not a fan of the graphic sex as I feel it detracts from this truly wonderful love story.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.

The Cowboy Cookie Challenge, would make an amazing Hallmark movie. I had the movie playing in my head the whole time I was reading it. Jazzy is so happy, I absolutely love her. Roan helps to bring her back down to earth when needed. They balance each other perfectly.

I received this as an ARC from netgalley. It was a cute Christmas story but the competition between Jazzy enters and connects with Roan is a tad bit childish. Overall a nice story though.

Thank you, NetGalley and HarperCollins for an Arc in exchange for an honest review!

The Cowboy Cookie Challenge follows Jazzy as she learns to bake with a Dutch Oven over a campfire with widower Roan Sullivan. Her goal is to finally win a competition against her nemesis, Andi. This was a very cute holiday romance. It gave me hallmark Christmas movie vibes…and anyone who knows me knows those are my favorite!
Roan has an adorable 4 year old daughter who just really lit up the book!
I really did have fun reading this book, and I look forward to reading it again this Christmas with a glass of eggnog.

I received an arc of this novel by Lori Wilde. The novel was something that I really wanted to enjoy however the relationship between Jazzy and Roan was kind of awkward and cringy for me. I really liked the idea of the story however the character development was not for me.

A whole lot of Christmas and a little bit of spice. I was captured in this story from the first page. Older man (Roan) by a decade who is widowed and has a young daughter. Jazzy is the pediatric nurse to his daughter Trinity. Jazzy and Roan each have their own baggage. Once Jazzy decides to enter a campfire cookie contest to try and beat her enemy (who used to be her best friend) she asks for the help of Roan since he’s famously known for his campfire cooking. As you can probably notice where this story is headed you are correct. But I was not expecting the spicy scenes in this book. For me that wasn’t a bad thing. It brought in a whole new level to the story. The writing is so well done and keeps you sucked in after each chapter. The characters are so love able and the aspect of a child is the mix makes the story line so much fun. Lori Wilde did an amazing job with this story. This book was given to me by #NetGalley and will releasing October 2022! #TheCowboyCookieChallenge

Just a fun romance. I enjoyed the main characters and the side ones also. It was just like eating a big cookie and drinking warm tea and spending time with new friends.
