I absolutely loved this rom-com! The second chance trope isnt usually my thing. The hilariousness in this story about killed me. I loved the angst, the swoonworthy banter and the chemistry was on fire between these two. 10/10 would recommend

This is Livy Hart's debut novel, and it is sensational! 4.5🌟
Piper has just moved back into her chaotic family home to help out her tribe of a family. She is stuck in life and has everything riding on making a career as an audio book narrator work.
Sam is Pipers brothers best friend. He is also her her firefighter/soon-to-be Mayor Ex, who is looking for a chance to get back into her good graces. When he strikes a deal to help her, things seem to work out quite nicely. However not sharing all the critical information comes with a price, on both sides.

This book has everything- all the tropes we love- a dash of enemies to lovers, one bed and a second chance.

One minute, I was chuckling at the banter, rolling my eyes at the family drama or dying of second hand embaressment and the next minute, I was watching the characters grapple with themselves over their own self-worth and make peace with the small choices in life that can make or break relationships.

This book made me feel the whole spectrum of emotions and in the end it left me with that warm fuzzy feeling. I so enjoyed the world Livy created.
It also had a good splash of spice, spicy dialogue, some fun car action and a delicious slowish burn that was knee buckling.

If you loved Kiss Quotient, or Not So Meet Cute, this read will be right down your alley!

This book was laugh out loud funny! The banter was top notch and I also loved the Bellini family dynamic. I can’t believe this is a debut novel, it's written so well! As far as the plot goes, I really enjoyed the slow burn / second chance romance. The steamy dialogue was the perfect balance of sexy with substance. I did feel like Sam got short changed by the end though career wise. I felt like all he wanted to do was make everyone happy and he deserved more than the smear campaign he got. Overall a really solid read and I would definitely pick up the author's next book!

Nah, I didn't really enjoy this book. From the first page, my attention wasn't grabbed. I just read it because it had to. I had heard good things, so I even bought it, but this is a serios let down. The author could have done so mcuh better. I am so sorry to give such a bad review, these are my honest emotions though.

Thank you for an advanced copy.

If you love a bit of banter then you'll love this book. It's more of a second chance romance than a full fledged enemies to lovers. It's packed with a few unexpected moments that I was happily surprised by and a few trusted tropes. Outside of their romantic relationship I wanted each of them to communicate better and assume a little less. I liked the side characters moments and growth. Well paced book with a few fun references. An easy read that doesn't require much thought.

4.5 ⭐ rounded up for this witty and fun debut!
I didn't know I needed a new book boyfriend until I met the hot firefighter, mayor candidate, erotica audiobook narrator Sam O'Shea.

Piper and Sam dated in high school, but broke up before he left for college. Flash forward 7 years and Piper is back in town to help her 44 year old pregnant mom with some of the 9! younger kids she already has. Piper is the only daughter, so her and her mom are best friends. When an opportunity comes up for Piper to have her dream job she wasn't expecting Sam to step in and offer to help her.

Sam is already super busy being a firefighter, while running for Mayor, when he decides to help Piper out by auditioning to narrate an audiobook with her. When he finds out the book is an erotica romance he's uncomfortable, but eases into the character with a voice that'll make you weak in the knees. I kind of wish I got to listen to the audio of this one.

I love, love, love that it's told in both of their perspectives. I do wish they communicated to each other better. I liked all the side characters, especially Nonna.

This was a lovely rom-com, second chance, friends to lovers to enemies to lovers, best friends sister/brothers best friend, slow burn read.

I am excited to see what this author writes next!

This was a great book. You have a huge Italian family with all boys and one girl, Piper. Piper grew up around all her brothers and their friends but there was on friend that always had her full attention, Sam. Sam was best friends with Caleb and because of that he was around the Bellini family constantly. As they grew up together Sam started to develop feelings for Piper and in high school they start to date. They were both full in and in love until Piper says she needs a break. After that moment everything blew up. Since that happened Piper and Sam haven’t talked for seven years let along run into each other. Piper is now back in town and sparks instantly fly. Will their second chance be what they should of had the first time or will things blow up again leaving them with broken hearts? I was given an ARC through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

2nd Chance meets Romance Audio narration with a freaking firefighter? HOT DAAAAMMMNN.

The first half of π—§π—”π—Ÿπ—ž π—™π—Ÿπ—œπ—₯𝗧𝗬 𝗧𝗒 π— π—˜ was good, but really slow for me. I loved these main characters! Piper is funny and likable and caring! I loved her ambition. And Sam is SO FREAKING SWOONY. He is so busy serving others and trying to be a good man!

Besides the slow first half, I had a really hard time with the dynamic between Piper and her mother. Piper's mom has NINE children and Piper drops everything to move home and care for all the kids, something it is mentioned often that she also did the entire time she was growing up. I am in no way opposed to people having lots of kids. I am very much opposed to those people forcing their older kids to raise the younger ones. This aspect of the story really bothered me.

However, π—§π—”π—Ÿπ—ž π—™π—Ÿπ—œπ—₯𝗧𝗬 𝗧𝗒 π— π—˜ had all of the best parts of Second Chance Romance I love. Glimpses at the couple's past relationship, that old spark bursting into sexual chemistry, the feeling that these two were MEANT to be together. This book excelled at all of that.

π—§π—”π—Ÿπ—ž π—™π—Ÿπ—œπ—₯𝗧𝗬 𝗧𝗒 π— π—˜ also had lovable side characters, serious steam, and...drum roll....there was only one bed. Seriously so good!

π—₯π—”π—§π—œπ—‘π—š: βοΈβοΈβοΈπŸ’«
π—¦π—§π—˜π—”π— π—Ÿπ—˜π—©π—˜π—Ÿ: Rated R / 1-4 descriptive sex scenes, may have harsh language.
𝗧π—₯π—œπ—šπ—šπ—˜π—₯𝗦: pregnancy complication (side character)
π—™π—˜π—˜π—Ÿπ—¦: 2/5 - A bit of drama, but still a pretty light read.

After spending 6 years in the city, Piper returns to her childhood small town and clashes with Sam, her ex-boyfriend turned local firefighter. Circumstances lead Piper to strike a deal with Sam: leave their past behind and work together as a team to record an audiobook. An explicit romance audiobook 🀭

Talk Flirty to Me is a debut and it was such a pleasant surprise! It's hard to know what you're getting yourself into when reading debut novels and I'm so glad that this one worked for me.

I like that Piper and Sam talk about their breakup before they officially start working together on the project. Both Sam and Piper take responsibility for their mistakes. That being said, Piper is the type of person who has a hard time lowering her walls and openly communicating her feelings with others. Some readers may get frustrated with Piper, but to be honest, I understand why it's so hard for her to lower her walls. I'm the same way myself 🀣

I really enjoyed this brother's best friend and second chance romance. Not only do Sam and Piper hash things out early in the story, but the chemistry between them is also electrifying. Sam and Piper share a lot of memorable moments taut with tension and chemistry. Their slow burn romance is well worth the wait πŸ”₯

I also LOVE Piper's chaotic family. They are such a nice addition to the story. I especially love seeing Sam interact with Piper's family members. They are fun, chaotic, and well-rounded supporting characters. They provide Sam and Piper with much needed advice, while also shaking things up for Sam and Piper at the most unexpected times 🀣 There's a particular scene that made me scream with secondhand embarrassment #neverforget πŸ’€

Overall, Talk Flirty to Me is a solid debut and there's so much to like about this story and its characters. I can't wait for this author to publish more books!

Must Read 5+ stars for sure
so we have best friends brother to dating: a breakup, years later to second-chance romance (well kinda, but not until after all the hate is gone).

with TALK FLIRTY TO ME πŸ’œπŸŽ€πŸ”₯ Livy Hart is giving second-chance romance, hate-to-love, AND forced proximity (in a studio booth narrating steamy lines to each other!), an overly-involved family, secrets from the past, and local politics!

She's a voice actor living with her big, busy family. He's a fireman (and her brother’s bff) running for mayor. They dated in high school, and it did NOT end well! Now they're narrating the audiobook of a Romance novel together! 10/10 recommend for:

β™‘ steamy dialogue!
β™‘ cheeky banter!
β™‘ genuine laugh-out-loud moments!!
β™‘ regular chaos and big family gathering shenanigans
β™‘ bookish books are everything! (they're literally reading a Romance novel togeher, having meetings about creating an audiobook series that we would adore)
β™‘ super cute "let me help you achieve your goals" vibes
β™‘ so! much! INCREDIBLE! foreplay!
β™‘ only one bed!
β™‘ the sex is πŸ₯΅πŸ₯΅πŸ₯΅
β™‘ β€œthe β€˜keeping it professional’ to β€˜unintelligible horny thoughts’ pipeline! (at one point they fake an excuse to leave a family event, and he takes her panties off while driving her home.)
β™‘ actually there's actually a lottt of in-the-car action!!

πŸ₯° πŸ₯° πŸ₯° πŸ₯° πŸ₯° πŸ₯° πŸ₯°
Three notes: 1) Even though it's an actual brand, the nickname "Hefty" (with it's connotations of weight, and therefore potential to sound cruel) felt like a strange choice which i did not enjoy. 2) The main character's mom is pregnant, and as she lives with her parents (and her many younger siblings who are around alot), the pregnancy plays a huge part in various parts of the story. Just something not mentioned in the description but certainly worth knowing going in if you're sensitive to that. 3) at one point, when they're still enemies, he (jokingly) worries that Piper's going to "cut off my hand for touching her" and it just felt like.... unnecessary phrasing.

Content warnings: Past humiliation recorded and shared online; House fire; High-risk pregnancy, and there is a scene where something goes emergency rush to hospital wrong (but it ends up fine and happy, obvs) πŸ’œ

I had so much fun reading Sam and Piper's story. I couldn't believe this is a debut novel because it was well-written. I was sucked into the story from the start. These two still have the chemistry between them and I loved their banter. It's a good slow burn that builds up and ends with a satisfying HEA.

This is such a fun, flirty, second chance, brother's best friend romance, and I found it to be an absolute delight. Livy Hart's writing is well paced, entertaining and conversational, with a delightful blend of heart and humor. I was instantly draw into this novel with the premise and the beautiful cover, and I knew this was a book I was sure to enjoy. This novel is also the first book from Livy Hart and it definitely excites me for where she will go, I found her plotting and characters to be interesting and a world I had lots of fun in.

Piper and Sam use to date when they were in high school, Sam is Piper's brother's best friend and a year older. But after a big misunderstanding they broke up and it cause cracks in Sam's relationship with Piper's family who he looked at as his home away from home. These two now find themselves back in each other's orbit (when Piper returns home to help with her mother's pregnancy) and Piper is ready to make a deal with the devil in order to jumpstart her career in audiobook narration (she is a voice actress a bit down on her luck at the moment). She and Sam find themselves narrating a steamy audiobook, while Sam is also currently running a campaign for Mayor.

This novel is charming, has some fun angst and centers around two people learning that perhaps they made some missteps and drew some conclusions that were not fully based in truths. Piper and Sam immediately fall into a banter with each other as they both learn to re-navigate who they are with each other. It is really fun to watch how they both beginning to reopen themselves up to each other and how things slowly come to light around misunderstandings. This novel is fun and full of delightful characters that mainly center around Piper's family. It is fun to see how Piper interacts with her siblings as well as with her mother, Piper is currently the only daughter. This novel has some fun and amusing to read. Sam and Piper have great chemistry and watching them rediscover each other is heartwarming, plus there is the only one bed trope which I absolutely love.

Definitely worth a read, especially if you love a contemporary with large families, moments of humor, a sweet budding romance, with some delightful driving plot points. Livy Hart is a great new edition to the romance community and I am excited to see where her career goes!

I actually wasn't sure how much I was going to like this book, but it really surprised me. I'm not a fan of second chance romances, but Sam and Piper did it for me. This novel was fun in the same way that most romcoms are, but there is a good amount of angst and tension that I think really sets it apart from other stories in its subgenre. The idea to set the plot around narrating a steamy audiobook? Genius. I found myself sucked into Talk Flirty to Me and absolutely unable to put it down once I picked it up!! The only downfall is that I hate the miscommunication trope, which plays a central role in this story.

This romance was just ok in that it felt like the only reason they got back together was for the audiobook. There could've been more chemistry between Piper and Sam. Both were incredibly immature, and maybe that's where it fell flat for me. Talk Flirty to Me is a second-chance, quickly read romance novel.

Thank you Entangled Publishing for the advance reader copy.

Fun and bingeable but it was a bit clichΓ© for my taste. Enjoyed the storyline and liked the characters so I binged it in a few sittings.

One of my top books this year. I smiled and laughed through the whole thing. I grew up with a huge family and I’m one of the oldest and I know how Piper feels about that. This is a second chance, brothers best friend romance. I loved every moment of this book ! Sam is running for mayor and needs Pipers mom endorsement but that’s gonna be hard since she doesn’t like him. Just read this book it’s so good ! 5/5

Okay, I liked this but it did take me a minute to warm up to Piper. I'm not completely sure why. But I was finally able to come around and understand her a bit more.

After dating in high school Piper runs into her ex-boyfriend at the local pub. They spend a few uncomfortable moments before parting ways but he does let her know that he'll be at the family gathering the next day.

Piper spends a lot of time being snarky with Sam. We soon learn why and the effects it had on everyone involved.
When she finds out she has an interview to voice act a book she'd ready to jump right in there. But the listing call for a man and woman team. Ready to give up, Sam offers to help her.

What neither expected was to be reading a book with such steamy lines. They know it won't be easy to get through but Piper feels this is her chance to make name for herself and Sam is willing to go along with it to make her happy.

Just as they begin to realize how they feel about each other, clips of the audio they've recorded are leaked.
Now Sam's run for mayor of their hometown is in jeopardy. And maybe even their relationship?

Thanks so much to the author, Entangled and Netgalley for this ARC to review.
