I want to scream about this book from the rooftops! The angst!!! The tropes (only one bed, second-chance, brother's best friend, getting caught in a storm, and the list goes on!!!!!)!!!!

It's super unusual for me to feel this much about a book by an unfamiliar author (in this case, a debut) but it's happening!

The writing and dialogue were smooth. I loved the cast of characters. The MC was a struggling voice actor which is a career I hadn't stumbled upon yet, and the male MC was a (rare!!!) workaholic.

I went into this with super low expectations (because I'm judgmental and suspicious) and my socks were knocked off. (There's a possibility that this is only a 5-star rating because I was on the verge of a slump and then was so pleasantly surprised by this, but I don't care because my heart wants it to be a 5 right now.)

I'm so excited to find out that Livy Hart has a number of projects on the go and I can't wait to get my hands on them!

Talk Flirty is out now and if you're a romance fan, please do yourself a favour and pick it up!!!

Livy Hart has captured my heart with this book. It has all the great ingredients that make a great romance story. Add two characters that have so much chemistry, sexual tension that is off the charts, a family dynamic that is heart warming, and hot, steamy scripts for an audio book, then you have a book you can't get enough of. I did not want this story to end. Livy Hart has a fan for life. I love it when I read a book, and its characters entrap me the way Piper and Sam did. The pent up tension between these two was building so much at times I felt like I would combust from the heat. I loved it. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!!

Based on the description and cover, I was all in on this book. However, once I started it I wasn't sure about the writing style or MC's way of speaking. When she said "rowdy" twice in the same page, I was ready to throw in the towel. I'm not usually a quitter on review books though, so I persevered, and I'm SO glad I did!

Second chance romances aren't usually my thing, so you can trust me when I say this book is GOOD. Livy Hart creates a funny, steamy, engaging story that I couldn't stop reading. Sam O"Shea is a veryyyy good book boyfriend for any romance lover to have.

In case you didn't know, the story centers around Piper--a down on her luck voice actress who has been forced to move home. As soon as she moves back, she runs into her ex--now a firefighter who is trying to mend fences. The crux of this book comes when Piper lands an audiobook audition of a lifetime. The only problem is--it's a pairs audition and Sam is the only guy she knows who can help her out.

Quite honestly, there are cringey parts to this book, but it does romcom well. I really liked Piper as an MC, and Sam is a great male lead because he isn't perfect but there is GROWTH. We love to see it. Piper's family is also a big part of this book and I liked them a lot. They added great color to the book.

I won't leave you hanging though! The spice is GREAT! The anticipation is everythinggggg. ;)

I received an electronic ARC of this book from Netgalley in exchange for my honest review.

Second chance AND brother's best friend? This book was perfection. It was such a refreshing storyline and felt so different than the romances I've been reading. I love the dynamic between Sam and Piper and they kept me hooked from page 1. The angst, the emotion, the steam, everything was so good. I definitely recommend this.

Thank you #Netgalley for an early read of #TalkFlirtyToMe

I really enjoyed this book. Though second chance, brother's best friend stories are all around it takes good writing and characters you WANT to see get back together to keep me reading and interested. Throw in some awkward sexiness and a huge italian family and I'm down.
He's a firefighter....ok, that's normally not enough but doesn't hurt with the imagery and the fact she needs his help with her audition is one thing, but that it's for an erotic audio book makes it more fun than I predicted.
If you have a "one that got away" this might just hit the spot.
Thanks Netgalley for the advanced copy, this is my honest opinion.

I enjoyed this book. The story was fun, and I liked the characters. The chemistry was great, the banter sharp and clever and the laughs are plentiful. Fast pacing and a bit of an OTT feel made this an easy to read, entertaining book.

*Brothers Best Friend
*Close quarters
*Hot fire fighter
*Steamy voice actress
*Ex Boyfriend

If you love any of these, this book is 1000% for you!

Talk Flirty to Me is fun and charming debut from Livy Hart.

Piper and Sam's past is a bit complicated. He is best friends with her older brother, and as teenagers they fell in love. A difficult and messy ending to the relationship meant that they haven't spoken in years.

Second Chance romance isn't always my favorite trope, but it was well done here. They didn't make the best choices but they were both young and not very good at communicating their feelings. When they came back into each other's lives there were still major sparks and plenty of chemistry between them. Their relationship development is well paced and I liked how they both had a lot of growth as the story progressed, too.

I really liked Livy's writing style. She did a nice job creating interesting, relatable characters I could root for. There's a great balance of humor, sweet and steamy romance, and emotional moments I often found myself smiling and laughing as I read. This is hands down one of my favorite books of the year. I cannot wait to read more from Livy!

A second chance romance for Piper and Sam. They were together at high school, and then, as now, she did what thought right so she did not stand in the way of what she thought was best for him. Will things work out for them this time around?
I liked how it was told from both points of view.

If you're looking for a second chance romance, great chemistry and banter and a meddling family, this story is definitely for you.

I loved it so much. I went in blind, as I did not know what I was getting myself into. But it was the best surprise ever.

Childhood friends that fall out to a misunderstanding are the norm, but life has a way to make them bounce back to each other when least expected. Their banter and chemistry were felt on the page throughout the book, and I loved how thoughtful and caring Sam was. They easily reignited that spark when working together, leading the scenes to one bed only, and you can imagine the next steps.

Perfect swooning romance that I highly recommend to any romance lovers.

Piper has returned to her hometown to be there for her family as her mother is expecting another child. Returning home means that she and Sam, her high school sweetheart and her brother’s best friend, will have to find a way to peacefully co-exist since their relationship did not end on good terms. Having the opportunity to narrate an audio book is everything she has always wanted however that means having Sam co-narrate with her.

Sam is already trying to balance his career as a firefighter and his campaign for mayor that he doesn’t really have the time to take on another project, but he can’t say no. He is trying to make amends to Piper and her family for the past and this job will allow him to do that, and it may just allow them to make peace with the past as well.

This is a fun and flirty story as the interactions between them are humorous, both Piper and Sam are characters you can relate to mistakes and all and the secondary characters only add to this story.

I have to say that if this is how far a little hate can take you, then sign me up! Sam and Piper were adorable as a couple. From the very beginning I could see that they complemented each other very well. While Piper was more outgoing and outspoken and ready to jump in into any situation and go for what she wanted, Sam was more laid-back, an over thinker who analyzed his every move. But when it came to their attraction to each other, these two were on the same page--ready to jump in and see where it lead them.

I enjoyed Sam and Piper's every interaction. Their chemistry was evident as well as their longing for one another. I appreciated the author's effort in allowing the reader to see them reconnecting on the page with each interaction they shared instead of just telling us that it was happening.

There were a lot of elements thrown into the mix and they all worked well together to tell Sam and Piper's story. I especially loved the secondary characters and I had a wonderful time with the degree of snarkyness between everyone and the humor sprinkled throughout.

All in all, a fantastic read.

THIS BOOK WAS HONESTLY MUCH BETTER THAN I EXPECTED! I've been going through a reading slump recently and I dreaded having to start a new book, but I'm really glad I picked up Talk Flirty to Me.
HEA? Check.
Second chance romance? Check.
Brother's best friend? Check.
Playing hard to get? Check.
ONE BED TROPE?! CHECK CHECK CHECK!!
If it's not clear enough, this book was an absolute banger!

It follows Piper Bellini (a voice actress who's looking for her big break) and Sam O'Shea (Piper's brother's best friend and a major hottie! Someone tell me where I can buy one!!). They dated for 2 years in high school until a small misunderstanding lead to a bad breakup, which also created a rift between Sam and the Bellini clan.

About 7 years later, Piper returns to her hometown to help her mom with her pregnancy, and in doing so, bumps into none other than her ex-boyfriend, Sam O'Shea, who turns out to be a hot firefighter running for mayor (I mean seriously, this man is a wet dream come to life!). Piper still holds a grudge about the misunderstanding that lead to the fall of their relationship, and tries her best to avoid him. But she soon finds out it's impossibly hard to do so, especially when he's playing a huge role in helping her with an audition that could land her her dream job.
And the gig?
It just so happens to be the recording of an erotic audiobook.
And let's just say that Sam and Piper definitely have some underlying and unresolved ✨tension✨.

I'm honestly so happy with Livy Hart's debut novel. Thank you girlie, you got me out of a reading slump! Every page was so entertaining and I read it in one go; I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between Sam and Piper was written so well and their banter was something out of the pages of my heart (like: ayo, who got you smiling like that?) The relationship among all of the characters was exciting, and the huge, chaotic family is something my Polynesian family and I can definitely relate to. It had perfect amounts of humour and angst, and I'm not going to lie, some pages made me cry a bit.

All in all, I think it's safe to say that you should definitely read this, and that I now have another book boyfriend.

Fans of Susannah Nix, Stefanie London, and Lucy Score will enjoy this one!

A heartfelt, spicy, debut novel follows Piper and Sam as they navigate a second-chance at a high school romance gone wrong. I loved seeing them going personally and as a couple. The epilogue was a perfect ending and I loved it so much!

The book's premise was unique, and I love the "brother's best friend trope," but I didn't love this book. Talk Flirty to Me is a promising debut novel from Livy Hart. When Piper, a voice actress struggling to find work, returns to her small hometown, she immediately runs into Sam, her high-school ex-boyfriend, and her brother's former best friend.

Piper and Sam had a messy breakup back in high school and have been avoiding each other in the seven years since. But Piper needs a partner for a voice project and Sam needs Piper's town councilwoman's mother to endorse him for mayor. I liked both of the main characters well enough but I didn't feel the connection between them and many moments between them felt stunted. I saw some echoes of chemistry between Sam and Piper but I felt like there needed to be a bit more tension between the two of them.

I do like that the book features both Sam and Piper's perspectives and the side characters contributed to the story. However, this book didn't fully connect with me.

My Thanks to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for providing me with an eARC in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This was a fun book to read. The characters were hilarious and relatable. Sam was the quintessential over achiever who wanted to please everyone. He was a hot firefighter who also wanted to run for public office. Piper was the only girl in a very large Italian family filled with boys. She was the eldest and assisted her parents in taking care of the younger children. Sam and Piper dated in high school and had an epic break up. Now they are teaming up together on a project that is causing a scandal. It gets really hilarious when the children interrupt their intimate time and things go awry. It all ends wonderfully happy as they are able to resolve all their issues.

Talk Flirty to Me is Livy’s Hart debut novel that is centered around the story of Piper Bellini and Sam O’Shea, two people that have dated through the end of their high school years until a misunderstanding makes them breakup. Fast forward seven years later they are forced to interact with each other after Piper moves back to her hometown in order to help her mother with her pregnancy, counting with the fact that Sam is Piper’s older brother’s best friend. Even though Piper tries her best to avoid him, she is forced to ask a favor from him when the opportunity of a lifetime shows up in achieving her dream job as a voice actress.

This book and its author were a pleasant surprise for me and I believe the story came to me at the right time and that’s one of the many reasons why I enjoyed it so much. It was a very entertaining story, that sure had its clichés, but it was still fun to read. I have to say that I absolutely loved the concept of the main characters working the gig of recording an erotic romance/fantasy novel, it was a fresh element that had me so invested in the chemestry that was sizzling between them while they were at the studio and outside of it. I have to say that I was hesitant towards the couple since I didn't know the reasoning behind their separation and also because of how much time went by, however the author managed to bring me back on board pretty fast and root for them to end up together.

Special mention to the Bellini family, it was endearing to read through their family gatherings and interactions and of course funny too. I will definitely have my attention set on the author from now on!

Piper is a 20-something voice actor who finds herself living back at home, helping out with her younger siblings while her mother is pregnant with her... eleventh child. Piper's older brother Caleb has recently reunited with his former best friend, Sam, after icing him out for years in the wake of a bad breakup between Sam and Piper when they were both in high school. Sam's a fire fighter now, and also happens to be running for mayor, and he wants Piper to forgive him and to convince her mom, a city council member, to back his campaign. To get on her good side, he agrees to go with her to an audiobook narration audition that could make her career. The issue is, it's for a very steamy romance novel and, after they book the job, they end up getting caught up in the steam of the book while they puzzle through the feelings they still seem to have. I enjoyed this, though both Piper and Sam were pretty immature (makes sense, they're in their mid-twenties and a bit younger than the main characters I usually read). It was fun to read something set in the world of voice acting, which was totally new to me.

This book was just not clicking for me. I'm all for second chance romance and brother's best friend as much as the next person. I think Piper was a bit bitchy and I'm not in the right mood for this book maybe. Like they broke up cause of something that happened in High School, and she's still not over it at the age of 24. Just wasn't clicking for me.

What a fun book! I went into this book completely cold, and had no idea the backstory. Talk Flirty to Me is about Piper, a voice actress, who returns home to help her family while her mom prepares for baby number 11(!) to join the Bellini family. Her brother, Caleb, and his former best friend, Sam (who is also Piper's ex) have reconnected after 7 years when their friendship blew up after Sam and Piper's relationship ended. They try to keep things cordial when their paths cross, as they are bound to, but then Piper needs Sam's help for an audiobook narration opportunity. When they are selected, and given a 3 book deal, Piper and Sam are spending A LOT of time together and their past feelings are coming to the surface. Meanwhile, Sam is trying to balance his firefighting career and a run for mayor, and Piper is trying to keep the Bellini household running smoothly. Can they work through their past issues to have a true future?

I adored this story. The audiobook narration angle was totally new and original and such a fun way to force proximity between exes. The chemistry between Piper and Sam was tangible. I loved their banter in the beginning when they are both trying to feel each other out and are still upset with each other. Their falling for each other again felt natural and organic. My only issue with the story was the reason they broke up 7 years ago and never spoke again. And Sam and Caleb never had a conversation with what happened. There needs to be a point of tension to build off of, but this just didn't feel very realistic and it could have easily been cleared up much earlier.
