Thank you to Netgalley and the publishes for giving me an advanced copy of this book in exchange for a review.

I have always been interested in spiritualism and mediumship, so was really intrigued to read a book written by someone who practices the art personally, rather than someones opinion. Chris Ratter is a psychic surgeon who claims to have the power to heal across the spectrum of psychological and physiological conditions. Using trance mediumship guided by his spirit team to cure.

Using his own experiences, Chris's shares his stories in the book which are really really interesting. Wether you believe in mediumship or not this is a really good read and raises questions about the afterlife and if mere humans have the gift.

Chris Ratter is a spiritualist medium working within a specialist branch of trance healing known as psychic surgery, aided by spirit guides. He runs healing clinics, holds trance-mediumship and healing workshops, and delivers talks and demonstrations on these subjects in Scotland, England and the Republic of Ireland.

I would say this book is a particularly useful tool for those who already have the gift of mediumship, and are wishing to safely develop ‘trance mediumship’, rather than for a lay person like myself.

For me personally, the most interesting parts of this book were where Chris shared some of his cases of psychic surgery with us, with clients reporting that healing had taken place, some of them armed with a professional medical diagnosis as proof.

The latter part of the book covered testimonials from clients themselves, relating in their own words, what they experienced during healing sessions, what they felt, saw or heard, and also the ultimate outcome of those sessions. Always an interesting topic.

This book by Chris Ratter is very needed now. Psychic surgery, spirit guides, and the afterlife are very popular. The problem is there are few people who really walk their talk in mediumship matters. Not so with the story here, I have been interested in Spiritualism and mediumship for many years. I dot know many people that have the experience the author so I hurriedly took the chance to read this. The book tells the reader about what is going on in trance and what guides are, It talks about the mediumship experience and offers hints and helpful suggestions to bring it forward. Most of all the stories in this book are really really interesting and the fact this isnt even well known is mind blowing . Reading this book will entertain and give hope to those who wonder what is next after we move on.
