A wonderful, diverse and immersive story with a super creative premise and great writing to carry it though. Lovely and well done!

this is a super heartwarming story full of self discovery! i enjoyed this more than i had expected. this was a funny read and it had a great vibe in general. the band and musical elements were fun and i adored all the characters. this is great rep for people who are underrepresented in books.

thank you to netgalley and penguin teen for an arc in exchange for my honest review.

Olivia Abtahi's writing style>>>>>
This book was so fun and I expected no less from an author whose personality shines through so much in her books. Azar on Fire was a big hit for me as the main character was so funny and relatable! The romance was also very cute and well done. I highly recommend to anyone who loves books that are right at the intersection of YA and middle grade. Abtahi just targets that audience so well and captures perfectly the "in between" areas of being a kid but also wanting independence and to make your own decisions.

This book may have had completely different themes from its companion prequel, and may not have been as deep, but it’s such a good story about friendship, with great demi/ace rep, and there were a lot of really deep moments.
