I requested a digital advanced readers copy from NetGalley and Wattpad Books and providing my opinion voluntarily and unbiased.

Synopsis: When Lacey Mason was six-years-old, her family moved to the Hamptons. When Lacey stumbles upon her next door neighbor, Luke Drake, on the beach it is instant friendship for the next four years. As Lacey’s family sells their house and leaves the Hamptons, Lacey and Luke vow to stay in touch. Fast forward to 22 years old and Lacey returns to the Hamptons, out partying, she runs into Luke, who does not recognize her, but all of the feelings are still there. Karma is when she and Luke are thrown together by internships at Drake-Mason Pharma. Luke sees a different side of what happened and wants to make amends of sorts. However, family secrets, including the one that ended their friendship in the first place, may prove to be too much and Lacey may not be willing to let Luke break the friendzone.

My Thoughts: I love friends to enemies to lovers tropes, they just start out spicy and then end up spicy in another way. The characters are well developed, Lacey and Luke had chemistry, they were witty, and there story was not without a little drama. You could relate to these characters because they were messy and were not perfection. The author’s writing was complex, had character depth, was captivating, and keep me engaged from the first page to the end. The epilogue was beautifully written and just tugged at my heart strings. This is the perfect light summer beach read. I would highly recommend. I will definitely be reading further novels from this author as I adored how things were pulled together.

This book is well written with individual perspective of both the leads which is the first thing I look for in a book. The emotions and the mindset of both the leads are well described. The plot of the story is fascinating, the book had an epilogue story which makes the book with good and proper ending, however a story under an epilogue heading would make the story more standout and will just make it perfect.⭐

Thank you @NetGalley and Wattpad Books for the ARC of Breaking the Friend Zone by May Lynn in exchange for my honest review.

I absolutely loved this book. Multiple plots that were well flushed out. Great spice. I thought the writing was good. The epilogue was lovely. If you enjoy reading friends to enemies to lovers with spice and a couple twists and turns, then pick up this book!

I loved both the protagonists so much. They were so great. I loved their background history and their chemistry, the love and support for one another, the angst, the push and pull, the sexual tension between them, everything was so well executed by the author. The characters were not perfect, they had their own struggles and obstacles they had to overcome before they came to the realization that they are better together than apart.

I’m so happy with how everything wrapped up at the end. It was such an enjoyable book. I hope the author continues to put out more stories like this!

FLEW through this excellent, incredible book. Tightly written, earnest, laugh-out-loud funny at several parts—one of the best YA books I've read this year, which is surprising because it was originally a wattpad book so! Surprises all around.

I hope the author puts out more books like this!

I am very surprised at how quickly a fell in love with this book. It had me completely invested immediately. Luke and lacey are absolutely adorable and the twists and turns of the plots were very much unexpected and made this a super entertaining read. I would SPRINT to read Rachel and Justin's story next. Also, I am shattered with emotion from the epilogue alone; one of the very best endings and plot line wrap ups I have had the joy of reading in a very long time.

A second chance, friends to lovers to enemies to lovers story. Luke and Lacey meets again 7 years after their dramatic breakup. Will they get it right and stay together this time?

I like both Lacey and Luke. They have great chemistry together. It's a fun, light romance. I enjoy it a lot.

Thanks to the publisher for the arc.
