'Pure Love' felt very average to me unfortunately. I'm a sucker for hockey romances, but this one missed the mark for me. I felt that it had a lot of potential, but I was let down. I felt as if there were details missing in the book such as who was talking at certain times and I found myself having to reread paragraphs multiple times throughout the book to try and figure it out. I'm sure this book is right for some people, but ultimately wasn't a good fit for me.

A big thank you to NetGalley and the author (Emily Bow) for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. I think this may be the start of a new series, but not sure. This is a hockey romance book. I don't usually read these as I know pretty much nothing about hockey, but his caught my eye. It has a unique premise (at least to me). I didn't quite understand Dahlia's job and how she could just give work to Piper. Dahlia was a hoot-and Piper just did what she could to stay afloat financially. I enjoyed the chemistry between Piper and Mikah. There were some good villains in the book. Overall probably predictable but still kept me reading. 4 stars

okay wow! I read this on netgalley as a form of arc and i’m amazed! This book was very good! The plot was very unique and one that i’ve never heard of. Piper and Mikah’s dynamic was so wholesome. The whole book and story revolved around purity and abstaining while similarly falling in love. Piper is attracted to Micah the second she lays her eyes on him and the attraction is requited. Their meet cute was also very cute! It was something i had never read before and i squealed so loudly.

Piper and Micah are then set to navigate their life while Piper helps her cousin with the purity minder and Anne Boleyn theory all the while Micah plays hockey. Their relationship is almost undefined throughout the book since Micah is commitment-phobic and doesn’t want to label it. But despite that, the author did a really good show of showcasing their feelings, it was all very forefront. Micah could only think about Piper while Piper could also only think about him.

My favourite past about this book was the renaissance fair where the scavenger hunt took place and Micah ordered a huge unicorn so Piper could get her extra credit. Similarly when Piper asks Micah about his type his answer is “You’re all kinds of beautiful to me” so like swoon??? this man is legit so romantic.

I loved this book so much! Like I said very unique and beautifully written.

I loved this book! I am so happy I grabbed this book it had everything I could want in a romance book; drama, passion, love, soul searching, hockey! This book will pull you in and you will not be able to focus on anything else. This is the first book I ready by this author and I am immediately going to search for others from her!! Highly recommend!!

This was an adorable romance! It has the cutest meet cute and the story showcases all the things we love from the slow burn style romance.

I enjoyed that it was written to focus on the characters growing emotions and fears regarding the relationship rather than solely the attraction to each other.

This book is worth the read and I will now be adding Emily Bow to my list of authors to watch because she writes beautifully

A fun, flirty story with deep, meaningful undertones and a teasing sort of cat and mouse game. Be ready to block out your afternoon because once you start this book, you won't be able to stop. I loved it!.

A unique romance centers on Piper, a graduate history student trying to restart her life after a bad break up and Mikah, a leading scorer and family-legacy hockey player for the Snowers.
When they meet through a Snowers engagement, the two are immediately smitten. But will Mikah's aversion to long-term relationships get in the way of what could be a fresh start for both of them?

A fast read with a gratifying, passionate plot.

**I received a digital copy of this book from the publisher, through Netgalley, in exchange for an honest review.

Piper is a girl who was burned by a past relationship really bad and doesn’t want to be a “fun” buddy or friends with benefits .

Mika is “allergic “ to anything beyond a one night stand .

Through circumstances they keep circling back around to each other and each time it’s increasingly difficult to keep to their boundaries .

My favorite two scenes are when Piper takes her cousin and sister to the renaissance fair ; and also when Mika and his brother were confiding in each other about some issues that came up .

I loved the characters in this book and the connection between Piper & Mika were really convincing . I’m excited to read the next book in the series :-) .
