I loved the multiple narrators for the various stories of Lisa Taddeo's GHOST LOVER, but I think I'd have connected with the work better had I read this book, versus listening to it.
I am a huge Lisa Taddeo fan, I appreciate the way she fearlessly pushes her readers into uncomfortable spaces with her storytelling. Her characters, specifically her women, are complex, layered, interesting, often unlikable, but always with elements that are irrefutably relatable (even if we don't want to admit it.)
I know there were threads connecting these stories (beyond the themes of isolation, ageism, longing, and the struggle to be a woman who doesn't define herself - or find her self- in motherhood, but I feel that I missed some of the connections.
I will always want to read what Lisa Taddeo writes.

This collection of short stories was great to listen to as an audiobook, and held my interest! It was a quick listen, and a great example of Lisa Taddeo's description-filled writing.
