Wow! There is a lot going on in this book: murder; family relationships, and Bailey and Aiden’s relationship. We also see another side of Charlotte. The characters are great and complex.
The premise was interesting and shows Zara cultural disdain for the Amish; her inability to accept people for who they are and abide by their decisions on their own life.

I kept turning the pages since I was engrossed in the outcome. I easily knew who the killer was but hadn’t guessed the depth of the motive.

Margot is an amazing person and I empathized with her as she had to deal with a demanding mother.

I recommend reading in order if the characters’ lives are important to you. If not, this book is a standalone story. The series is good, too.

This is the seventh book in An Amish Candy Shop Mystery series set in Harvest, Ohio, a small town where the English and Amish live and work together. I always enjoy this series with the interesting recurring characters, including Jethro, the polka dot pig and a murder mystery to solve. It is Thanksgiving and event planner for the town, Margot Rawlings, has planned a community wide meal on the town square for all with many people providing food. Bailey King and her Amish Maami, co-owners of Swissmen Sweets, are providing dessert candy. Margot's mother (retired judge of the county, living in Florida) stirs things up when she and her much younger boyfriend decide to visit, and it throws Margot into a tizzy. The Thanksgiving meal ends badly when the boyfriend dies from a peanut allergy that is determined to be murder, not an accident. Bailey has solved other murders and investigates the death as requested by Margot and her mother. There are several avenues to pursue but all seem to have dead ends. I did have some thoughts about what was going on but did not have it all figured out. In addition to the murder, Bailey has lots on her mind these days. She and her boyfriend Aiden has been separated with his job taking him out of town and her thoughts about expanding the business. This is an enjoyable series that I recommend for cozy mystery readers, and especially candy lovers.

Through NetGalley, I received a free copy of Peanut Butter Panic This is the 7th Amish Candy Shop Book. A cozy mystery to crawl in bed with or sit in a comfy chair and read. All the characters we have grown to love with along with the animals are back. So where to start Bailey King is roped into solving another murder While Aiden has come back to town to work the cases for the BCI. Bailey has been noticing that her and Aiden have been more disconnected and the distance between them was something that they needed to talk about. Margot's mother has asked for Baileys help to clear her daughter of the murder. Let me just say Zara was not what she appeared to be finding it funny that she disliked Sheriff Marshall so much when they are almost the same with their dislike of the Amish. I have to say I loved Charlotte and Luke's Relationship especially the fact that Luke introduced her to a tv show that they both now love watching Murder she wrote. the thing that I didn't care for was Aiden now saying that he is unhappy and doesn't like not living there. Like ok he didn't really think about this before he took the job they even said he would not be able to live in homes or visit for a while. I kinda got the feeling like he didn't take that into consideration and what that would mean for their relationship. Also the fact that the whole town doesn't care for or like the sheriff so why not run against him. Can't wait for the 8th book to come out.

I have been following this series, and enjoying each of the stories, and come to love reuniting with these characters. Bailey King and her Grandmother and cousin and their fudge shop. Delightful pets, a smart rabbit, and a loveable pig, Jethro, who could want more? Of course, there is a death, and how this all circles back to this Ohio community, well, Wow!

We take awhile to get to the answers, but so enjoyed my stay, and along with some sweet romance, we journey to find out more about Blaze, and why!

Now I can't wait for the next installment in this series!

Bailey King and the residents of Harvest, Ohio are getting ready for the big community Thanksgiving Dinner. The guest of the dinner will be Amish and English alike. All is going smoothly until Margot’s mother, Zara, decides to visit. Zara is a former Judge from Harvest who was known for being hard on the Amish residents who were unfortunate enough to have to appear in her court. When announce she is marrying a man young enough to be Margot’s son and he drops dead a short time later Margot is the top suspect. Margot asks Bailey to help clear her name.

This is the seventh book in the series and with each book, I read the characters become more likable, relatable, and interesting. The mystery is well-written as all cozy mysteries written by Mrs. Flower. There are plenty of suspects and red herrings to keep the reader guessing whodunit. I recommend this book to cozy mystery fans.

Peanut Butter Panic is a great cozy mystery that kept me guessing. I like the community setting with both Amish and English characters who are as interesting as they are opinionated! I look forward to reading more of Ms. Flower's books!

It's Thanksgiving time in Harvest, Ohio and that means it's time once again for one of Margot's legendary events but with her mother coming the even turns upside down so Bailey is asked to step in. Of course when someone dies it's up to Bailey and her friends to solve the case.

This is one of my favorite series because it can be LOL funny. Juliet and Jethro are a hoot as well as Ruth Yoder. With all the village characters making an appearance this book lives up to my expectation of a great read. I am so happy this series continues!

I have to first say that I love this series by Amanda Flower and was so happy to be able to read this seventh book. Harvest, OH, sounds like the greatest little village. The people who live there care about each other and strive together to make the village the best it can be. I myself live in a small rural village so a lot of the characters run true to form. You always have the ones who are the first to volunteer for anything, the ones who are a little bossier than others, such as Margot and Ruth. The ones who are first to jump in and help when asked, such as Bailey and crew. While I don't live in an Amish area, we do have/see Amish in their horse and buggies from time to time as there are larger populations around us. I am always learning something new about their beliefs when I read these books. And who could resist Jethro? In this book, we see Bailey and Aiden running into some problems with this new job, and the fact that they are separated for periods of time. Bailey also has big plans for the expansion of the candy store...yet hesitates to tell her grandmother in case she just can't adust to bigger and better things, due to being Amish. I look forward to another book from this author to read more about life in Harvest. Thanks to NetGalley and Kensington publishing for letting me read this one.

Peanut Butter Panic is the 7th book in Amanda Flower's Amish Candy Shop Mystery series and it is as wonderful as all of the others! The characters are likable and easy to relate to. The cozy mystery kept me guessing until the end and the wrap up was well done! It is Thanksgiving weekend in Harvest, OH and Swissmen Sweets is very busy. Bailey King, her Amish grandmother, and her cousin Charlotte are working a lot of hours to keep up with the store business and the online orders. On top of all of that, Swissmen Sweets is providing dessert for 800 people at the Harvest Thanksgiving Celebration which is bringing both Amish and English together for a big feast. The event organizer is Margot Rawlings who is frazzled especially when she finds out her mother, Zara, is coming to town. Zara and Margot do not get along. Zara was a judge in Harvest for many years and made a lot of enemies. Zara shows up with her new fiance, Blaze, who is much younger which complicates a tense situation. Blaze has an allergic reaction during the dinner. Bailey's boyfriend Aiden comes to visit for the weekend but is put on the case of Blaze's death. Due to Aiden's job in Columbus. Bailey is concerned about their long distance relationship. Unfortunately they are both very busy and don't get to spend much time together but they are working through being apart. There is quite a bit going on which keeps the story interesting. I always look forward to the next book in this series and this book was very enjoyable! This book started a bit slow for me but it picked up and I really enjoyed it. The characters always make me smile.

My Thoughts on Peanut Butter Panic
Margot Rawlings’, a force of nature when it comes to organizing events in Harvest, Ohio, domineering mother is coming to town for Thanksgiving. Zara Bevan is a retired Holmes County judge living in Florida. When Ruth Yoder, the bishop’s wife, hears that Zara is returning to Harvest, Ruth is determined to have the Amish boycott the Thanksgiving community dinner Margot has worked so hard to put together. In her position as judge, Zara came down hard on Amish that appeared in her courtroom.
Zara’s arrival does nothing to ease tensions. Her first words to Bailey King are scornful of Bailey’s decision to give up her career and life in New York City to live in Harvest. It never occurs to Zara that Bailey’s decision isn’t Zara’s business. Zara may have hung up her gavel years earlier, but she still renders judgment on everyone and everything around her. To increase tension around her visit, Zara introduces her much younger boyfriend, Blaze Smith, a tennis pro.
The next day’s Thanksgiving dinner starts off without much of a hitch-until Zara decides it is the perfect time to announce her engagement to Blaze. Not long after Zara’s announcement, Blaze falls face first into his mashed potatoes. It’s clear to Zara that Blaze is having an allergic reaction to something he ate, and his epi pen is nowhere to be found. Bailey’s drawn into the investigation when her desserts are suspected of causing Blaze’s death.
Peanut Butter Panic also ups the tension regarding Bailey and Aiden’s relationship. Aiden resigned as a deputy from the Holmes’ County Sheriff’s Department to take a position with Ohio’s BCI (Bureau of Criminal Investigation). This new job keeps him away from Harvest and Bailey feels their relationship may be in trouble.

Recommendation
Peanut Butter Panic is a wonderful return to Harvest and the people living there. Zara Bevan is the perfect character to throw a wrench into the established relationships of community members. She has ties to the community, but not in a good way. She is a mother too obsessed with herself to ever establish good relationships anyone else, especially her daughter. Flower explores these complicated relationships, as well as writing a mystery that keeps the reader guessing to the end. Highly recommended.

The y had there Thanksgiving community meal in the town square and almost everyone is coming.
Zara one of the people that lived there announced that her and Blaze would be married come Christmas time.
Blaze eventually died because of a allergic reaction to peanuts.
Margot asked Bailey for help because blaze death was going to be questioned as a murder.
Bailey helped to find out who really kind of sneaked peanuts to Blaze food..
It goes to show the story does just be careful because some people look out only for themselves so they can be happy and Noone else.

Set in Holmes County Ohio, Bailey King runs Swissmen Sweets 🍬 with her grandmother. A local named Margot and Juliet Brook, the pastor’s wife are planning a village Thanksgiving dinner. As such Margot has assigned Bailey to oversee the Thanksgiving preparations.

But Bailey is busy making desserts, getting extra candy 🍭 ready for Black Friday and Small Business Saturday and has little time to spare. But she helps Margot out anyway.

Bailey’s boyfriend Aiden Brody who’s been sheriff’s deputy in Holmes County has recently completed his training with Bureau of Investigations, Ohio.
After his training, he would be returning to Holmes County to work as a remote agent specializing in Amish cases.

But then Margot’s mother Zara arrives in town with her fiancé in tow, a younger man named Blaze. Margot thinks Blaze is only after Zara’s money. Soon after Blaze turns up dead. Turns out traces of peanut butter were found in one of the pastries he had at the Thanksgiving dinner and Blaze is allergic to peanut butter. Was he poisoned and why?

Soon after Margot approaches Bailey to ask for her help in solving the case. Apparently, fingers are pointing at Margot as the prime suspect because her mother’s will stipulates that if Zara were married, Margot would get half her money while her husband gets the rest. Could this be enough reason to murder Blaze?

Overall an interesting culinary mystery. Would recommend. Includes Bailey’s grandmother’s Maami’s Buckeyes.

I anxiously awaited this book and I am thrilled with the outcome. The characters in the An Amish Candy Shop Mystery series are all delightful. They are both complex and appealing for me. The latest mystery for Bailey to solve is the death by anaphylactic shock due to a peanut allergy. There are a host of suspects and the ending was surprising to me. I am thrilled with the relationship issues resolution. There is hope for the future for many more stories from Harvest, Ohio and I am looking forward to it.

This is a Cozy Mystery, and this is the 7th book in An Amish Candy Shop Mystery. I have read and reviewed some of the other books in this series before picking up this book. This book has some of the funniest and cutest animal characters, and I love that pig so much...LOL. The other characters are good too. The mystery in this book was ok, and I enjoyed the ride to solve the mystery. I guessed who did it way before the reveal. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (Kensington) or author (Amanda Flower) via NetGalley, so I can give an honest review about how I feel about this book. I want to send a big Thank you to them for that. This book is scheduled to be released on August 23-2022.

I really enjoy this series! This one was solidly plotted and an enjoyable read. There are a couple of things I particularly like in this outing. One is seeing a different side of the pushy organizer Margot, who browbeats everyone into doing things they don't want to do. Meeting her mother sheds a bright light on why she's like that. It's also quite satisfying to see Charlotte gaining confidence as the books go on.

The plot works, and certain elements of it are a good reminder that, for instance, just because something is a law doesn't mean it's being enforced fairly in reality. And that certain kinds of abuse happen in all communities, religions, etc. I appreciate when a whimsical, unrealistic cozy also touches on real-world issues.

It was great to visit Harvest again!

Amanda Flower's books are always a fun read. The mystery kept me guessing. I like the characters and the Amish town setting. Character's lives are moving forward, so that's good as well.

A yummy visit to Bailey's candy shop, only problem is I always end up craving something! Loves these characters with fantastic writing and plenty of twists and turns like a pretzel, a great addition to the series.

The Amish Candy Shop mysteries are my favorite that Amanda Flower has written. Peanut Butter Panic is the 10th book the author has written in this series. As the title implies you know that someone will have a peanut allergy and die as a result. There was one character that I initially thought was the culprit in the beginning but as I read the book I started to change my mind. It appears my original theory was correct but did not know the reason. I love returning to Harvest. I have gotten to know all the characters and the adorable little trouble maker pig Jethro and his quirky human Julliet always makes me laugh.. I look forward to reading more books in the series and hope that Aiden and Bailey will come closer to making the step of at least getting engaged.
