This is a good book for teaching children about nature, and how we should look after it and not harm it.

In the story, a bad alien comes to earth in his craft in the olden days, and he put a spell on the plants and trees to stop them walking and talking, because they refused to do everything he wanted them to. I was not too sure about this visitor as I found him a bit creepy, but the message of taking care of the earth and the plants and trees is a valuable one.

Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book.

Living Green and the Spell is a fantastic little book to explain to children the importance of environmental issues and how we should respect plants and trees as they are important to our existence. I read it to my 5 year old son and we both loved it.

Thank you to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for my ARC.

Living Green and the Spell. Learning about our plants and trees and how to take care of them so we have them in the future is very important in the world today. Children should learn to take care of our environment from day 1 so that we will always have plants and trees.

Thank you so much to booksgosocial and Netgalley for the ebook to read and review

This was weird, I thought it would be cute and maybe have a good lesson within it but honestly it was weird and didn’t make a lot of sense. The plants all moved and roamed the earth until a weird tin covered creature in a space ship decided they must own them and have them as slaves or else humanity will destroy them. Honestly was so weird.

I didn’t enjoy his book and I’m not sure that many children would either unfortunately. It was so very strangely written and didn’t really have much to share. It could have had a potential to be a good educational story. It’s a shame I didn’t like this one it could have been so cute. It did have illustrations throughout the pages which were interesting to look at.

This book is part of a series of books about environmental awareness, respect and friendship. Beyond just the mentality of recycling and picking up garbage as part of helping take care of the Earth, this book looks at our interactions with nature and promotes collaboration and problem solving to make lasting change in protecting our planet. The font is very accessible and is on white pages with small pictures in the corners and opposite full page colour and detailed pictures. The idea of villains and superheroes fighting over nature is also something that will interest young children.

As a teacher, I could definitely see this book being part of my classroom library. I would recommend this book to parents and teachers of children in the 4-9 age range. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this great book!

Thank you NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for presenting me with an ARC of this book in exchange of a honest review.

Living Green and the Spell is a fun little book about plants and conservation. Children are told that plants have one been talkative and walkable, but once the Hater Emperor arrived, it all changed. A silly yet thought provoking story, I loved the concept of this!

This was a fun little book about a bad guy who came down to earth in his spaceship
long ago before humans and animals. At the time, plants and trees could walk and talk. But when they refused domination by the alien visitor, he made it so they would be alive but rooted to the ground and no longer able to walk or talk.

This was a great Earth Day read! My 4-year-old twins were a little nervous about the alien invader, but they enjoyed the story and were totally enthralled. Thank you NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for this digital ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I loved Living Green and the Spell. I always try to teach my daughter the importance of plants and nature - and that they are alive and we should treat them with respect. This story was fun and the illustrations had me smiling the entire time. I actually wanted more and felt that it ended rather quickly. This is a great little story to introduce small children the importance of preservation of our planet and all things on it.

Thank you NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for the opportunity to read this little book in exchange for my honest opinion.

Wow, what a fun read. As a vegan, I’m all for loving the world. This was another way to show small humans that plants are important too. They make the world a better place in so many ways. This is a quick read with vibrant pictures. Really enjoyed! The only thing I thought was weird were the quotations about the “hater the emperor”, I thought they were extraneous and didn’t add to the story, they kind of took me out of the moment. Otherwise, a must read for small humans about the importance of plants.

Thank you NetGalley and Books Go Social for the digital review copy.

Actually this little book charming me. I would love reading to my kid about how the plants nomore moving and have heartbeat. But I think there is a loophole in the plot about the connection between the Hater and the humans.

Thanks Netgalley for providing me with this book.

fun little read with vibrant pictures. would be perfect for parents to read to their young children and talk about climate change in an age appropriate manner. I wish the story had gone on a little, however that may just be a factor of me having an adult attention span! I think kids would love this as its very colourful and has an important message.

Living Green and the Spell was a great book to introduce the concept of preservation of nature. I really enjoyed the "Hater the Emperor" character, as well as the trees and flowers being animate objects. The moral of humans eventually ruining the planet didn't come across as too heavy. Great book for elementary school students.
