This book was unique, creative, heart warming, and swoon worthy! We got grumpy vs sunshine, enemies to lovers, a workplace romance all in one book. I really liked the happy personality that Jules had, and it was fun to see her relationship with Tom change drastically throughout the book. First they were enemies, then they were together, then they were in love, then they broke up, and finally they got back together. I think it was smart of Jules to break up with him when she did because they had an attachment that blurred her actual feelings for him and her gratitude for his decision to save her life and donate part of his pancreas.
I would recommend this book to anyone searching for a happy book with a quirky main character and an emotional journey with a guaranteed HEA.

I devoured this book! What I expected to be a cute rom-com turned out to be a deeply moving and realistic story that touched my heart. It's my first read by this author, and it won't be my last. I'm not usually one to cry over books, but this one had me reaching for tissues. Jules and Tom, flawed yet relatable characters, captured my heart from the start. Beyond being a heartwarming love story, it tackled heavy themes and real-life struggles. More than just a romance, it beautifully explored the power of friendships and found family. An 5-star read that left a lasting impression!

DNF 47%ish.
Interesting plot, poor execution.
Jules and Tom are two CEOs working in the same building, sharing space but working in separate companies. Jules also has a liver disease but only her best friend and coworker knows it besides her family who is more interested in maintaining a high socialite life and helping their child and sister.
By almost half of the book I just didn't feel the chemistry between them because the focus was more on her company and her illness.

I liked this one!! It’s kind of different than most of romances. It deals with terminal illness and ptsd. Shows that life & relationships don’t happen in straight lines rather in ups and downs. This book is also about the female main character learning to live with her illness and learning to live after surgery and with ptsd.

This one took me a long while to read but i did enjoy it! Likeable characters in an enemies to lovers is always a fun read but something kept me from loving it with my whole heart. I love a good office romance and forced proximity for real though!

This was pretty cute. I liked the premise but I didn’t feel the connection between the MCs and some parts felt a little drawn out for me.

Thank you Netgalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I really enjoyed this book, it was the perfect well rounder and had absolutely everything you'd want from a romance, complete with miscommunication, angst and I actually really enjoyed the medical side of it too. It brought awareness to a condition I'd not heard of and made me think twice and even look at signing onto a donators list.
The characters were great and they had some really great growth which I really enjoyed reading. I really liked the unexpected twists and turns, which went hand in hand with those you may have expected to see.
All in all, a really lovely book. Easy recommend.

I ADORED this book. I was expecting a cute rom com but this book is so much more. It made me feel all the feels. I am not one to cry much in books, but boy did I while reading this one. This was my 1st book by this author and certainly not the last one.
While it was a cute rom com, it also felt very real to me. The characters were believable and flawed. I fell in love with Jules and Tom and was rooting for them from the beginning. It wasn't just a sappy love story, it dealt with some pretty heavy subjects and real life struggles. And it is so much more than a love story, it's also a story of the power of friendships and found family, An easy 5 star read for me!

Honestly wondering why I don't see this one alot on top of the best romance books lists!? Haven't Read a good romance in a while and was craving one and this was the best pick. Loved the main female character, she's really a fierce fucking warrior in the words of Tom. The experience of jules with the PSC disease is based on the personal experience of the author which made every detail feeling so real that it was actually painful knowing someone could go throw all this and still manage to get up and continue with life to continue being a great person. I think of the most important things in the books other than exposing the reality of the transplat process is how appearances can be tricky. Like jules spent years hiding her illness from her coworkers and only showing her strong side that people couldn't even imagine that she was extremely sick. Going back to the book, loved the author's writing style and the characters; it all felt so heartwarming. And the slow burn between the two characters where on point, going from rivalry to lovers and going through huuuge complications I honestly enjoyed it all. Tom definitely earned the badge of the best human being to exist not just boyfriend. The story left me feeling warm inside which was just the goal. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a good romance with amazing characters that will leave you giddy with happiness. Thank you netgalley and the publisher for giving me an E-ARC of this book to review!

Laura Bradbury reminded me how enjoyable a romance can be after reading a string of so-so books that leaned too heavily on eye-rolling miscommunications and attempts at screwball antics. I read this book in one long sitting, something I hadn’t done in years.
Unlikely Match also stands apart because the author based the main character’s struggles with a rare liver disease on her own experiences. Jules isn’t a perfect patient who remains cheerful when faced with pain, fatigue, and depression.
Last, but not least, the enemies-to-lovers romance was handled well. The MCs resolve miscommunications in a timely and mature fashion. There’s plenty of drama without having characters avoid each other for months or over a year.

It took me awhile to be emotionally ready to read this book as medical trauma is a real trigger for me. I'm glad that I decided to take the plunge into Unlikely Match this morning because I could not put it down. Jules and Tom were perfect foils for each other on the surface; however, as they opened and learned more about each other the reader could see how alike they were.
Thank you to NetGalley for the digital review copy that it took me way too long to read. Worth the delay though!

I loved all of the tropes in this book! We got grumpy x sunshine, workplace romance, and enemies to lovers. What more could you ask for! I loved how quirky Jules was, it was fun to see her relationship with Tom develop and change as time went on. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a swoon-worthy, unique story with a guaranteed HEA!

I really loved this one! I am not super familiar with organ donation outside of the general details (though I am a registered donor!) but this really opened my eyes to what one can go through, and I loved Jules' evolution through treatment, healing, and growth.
I had a feeling Tom was going to be her donor but I loved the way that Bradbury tried to show that others can step up for you.
Jules' family felt a bit like caricatures, but I know they were essential to moving the plot and understanding how Jules built her found family.
Overall, a really fantastic and enjoyable read.

Thank you NetGalley for providing me with this ARC.
Overall Rating: 2.75/5
So although this book is marketed as a romance, it kinda falls flat in that department. The whole reason for the main characters not getting along feels kinda weak, and their love just happens way too fast. Oh, and don't get me started on the work stuff. It's all this vague jargon trying to impress us with their business skills, but honestly, I still don't get what their startup is all about, even after finishing the book.
And here's the kicker, the dude actually points out how useless the girl's travel agency program is in this internet age. Like, no argument there. It's just not well thought out.
But hey, it's not all bad. There are some cute moments and interesting bits in there. It's just that the romance could've used more build-up to make it really click. Overall, it's an okay story, but it definitely could've been better in the romance department.

Lovely beautiful story. Jules is living with an illness and she is in desperate need of a liver, beside being sick and her family not being supported she is forced to to work with a new company and her co leader happens to be an pain in the ass.
Tom and Jules banter was my favourite part of this book , you could really tell that it was legit at the start , which made the character development perfect.
The begining to middle of the book was paced perfectly, it wasn’t to quick and they slowly began to get closer and learn about each other. Once we got to the endeding I think some miscommunication scenes were unnecessary. (Just my opinion)
Other than that I loved each characters , loved the subplot of the company, and especially Tom’s character development. Also her pink couch and favourite movie (she’s just like me fr)
AND HIM BUYING HER FOOD yup def was crying at that part .
It was an overall cute and powerful story and the fact that this is something the author went through is extremely brave.
Loved it and you guys should definitely give this a read.

Thank you to the author, publisher and Netgalley for sending me an e-arc of this book in exchange for my honest review.
I enjoyed this book quite a bit, although it took me a while to finish it - I felt like the middle dragged a little bit, there was a bit too much time spent on Jules being indecisive about reaching out to people to ask them for help with her medical situation.
I liked the build up of the relationship between Jules and Tom. I found Jules' entire family abhorrent to the point where it kind of became unbelievable to me that people like this can exist and I question why she puts up with them at all.
Overall this was good, but it could have been perhaps a bit shorter.

Hello
Apologies for the late notice, but I have decided not to review this title.
While I am certain it's obvious by now, I wanted to also clear this off NetGalley, so it's not showing as open for either of us.
I look forward to continuing to work with you in 2023 and beyond.
Laura

Not gonna lie - was way excited for this. The premise and the idea behind the story sounded fantastic - I also am a sucker for enemies-to-lovers, which is what this was. But I struggled HARD with all the sick talk and the misogynistic talk. It was very difficult to focus on or look for substantial plot when this kept coming about. I know the book title is an unlikely match which indicates two people would be matched together, albeit unlikely that one would exist without the other, but Yeesh. It was difficult for me to get past. What held me together was the love between the two characters… and the spice! It all just felt real and not super glamorized due to her illness. Thankful for that one! I am super appreciative of the opportunity to review the book!

A unique and heartfelt rom com! I’m pretty picky when it comes to romance books: I have to find the plot and the character development engaging and not one dimensional. This book checked both those boxes for me! I loved Jules and Tom and the way we learned more about them as we went. The friends around them are pretty great too

I’ve been really enjoyed romance fiction and the Unlikely Match ticked all the boxes. Will read again.
