Lovely beautiful story. Jules is living with an illness and she is in desperate need of a liver, beside being sick and her family not being supported she is forced to to work with a new company and her co leader happens to be an pain in the ass.

Tom and Jules banter was my favourite part of this book , you could really tell that it was legit at the start , which made the character development perfect.

The begining to middle of the book was paced perfectly, it wasn’t to quick and they slowly began to get closer and learn about each other. Once we got to the endeding I think some miscommunication scenes were unnecessary. (Just my opinion)

Other than that I loved each characters , loved the subplot of the company, and especially Tom’s character development. Also her pink couch and favourite movie (she’s just like me fr)
AND HIM BUYING HER FOOD yup def was crying at that part .

It was an overall cute and powerful story and the fact that this is something the author went through is extremely brave.

Loved it and you guys should definitely give this a read.
Thank you to netgalley for giving me an arc in exchange for my honest reviews :)

Thank you to the author, publisher and Netgalley for sending me an e-arc of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I enjoyed this book quite a bit, although it took me a while to finish it - I felt like the middle dragged a little bit, there was a bit too much time spent on Jules being indecisive about reaching out to people to ask them for help with her medical situation.

I liked the build up of the relationship between Jules and Tom. I found Jules' entire family abhorrent to the point where it kind of became unbelievable to me that people like this can exist and I question why she puts up with them at all.

Overall this was good, but it could have been perhaps a bit shorter.

Hello

Apologies for the late notice, but I have decided not to review this title.

While I am certain it's obvious by now, I wanted to also clear this off NetGalley, so it's not showing as open for either of us.

I look forward to continuing to work with you in 2023 and beyond.

Laura

Not gonna lie - was way excited for this. The premise and the idea behind the story sounded fantastic - I also am a sucker for enemies-to-lovers, which is what this was. But I struggled HARD with all the sick talk and the misogynistic talk. It was very difficult to focus on or look for substantial plot when this kept coming about. I know the book title is an unlikely match which indicates two people would be matched together, albeit unlikely that one would exist without the other, but Yeesh. It was difficult for me to get past. What held me together was the love between the two characters… and the spice! It all just felt real and not super glamorized due to her illness. Thankful for that one! I am super appreciative of the opportunity to review the book!

A unique and heartfelt rom com! I’m pretty picky when it comes to romance books: I have to find the plot and the character development engaging and not one dimensional. This book checked both those boxes for me! I loved Jules and Tom and the way we learned more about them as we went. The friends around them are pretty great too

I’ve been really enjoyed romance fiction and the Unlikely Match ticked all the boxes. Will read again.

Wow. This book took my breath away. I was captivated by this raw and emotional story, where more than a few tears were shed. I loved the enemies to lovers story of Jules & Tom and their connection & attraction to one another jumped off the pages! What I found so raw about this story was everything Jules was experiencing, and even Tom post transplant. It dealt with Jules' emotions & doubts post transplant and how everything she assumed would happen, didn't and she had to adjust with that moving forward. Laura Bradbury did such an excellent job putting the reader into the shoes of Jules during those tough moments (and probably in the shoes of Laura when she was going through all of this) and it made the connection between reader and the character that much more powerful.

THIS BOOK. I cried, laughed, and already want to revisit it.

This is own-voices representation for organ transplant, and it shed light on the experience in such a real and raw way. While my own chronic illness experience is much different, I felt for Jules because there is never a day off. Everything in life is run by illness, even good days - for transplant patients, even receiving a new organ becomes a new part of the everyday battle. I was so glad to read this perspective, because there were many moments of learning for me about the process.

The tension of the co-working space was a really great backdrop to start Jules and Tom’s relationship. The differing styles of management and company culture made for a great rivalry that turned into a great collaboration.

I bought a paperback copy after reading on Netgalley and can’t wait to reread it again!

This is my first time reading a transplant romance and I can say that I am craving for more! I was hooked from the very first page and immediately immersed myself in the story. As someone who was not able to personally experience such unfortunate things, I felt everything in my soul through the author's superb writing. I love the romance, friendship, and the concept of family in this book. It is such a beautiful book that every reader should read at least once in their lives.

I loved the majority of this book I just think it lost its sparkle and the ending fell a bit flat. That being said I very much enjoyed reading it. I adored the protagonist with a chronic illness. The representation meant so much and Jules was just such a well rounded character. Her illness wasn’t the only thing we knew about her but we got to see the struggles she faced and how it affects you emotionally. Laura is a transplant survivor herself and her experience just made the whole thing so realistic as well as being educational.

As for the romance, who doesn’t love a good enemies to lovers. Jules and Tom’s banter made me laugh and their relationship was so cute. You can’t help but fall in love with them. It was great getting to see their characters grow and develop individually before working on being there for each other. I also adored Jule's best friend Alan.

I liked that this book had a main character who had a chronic illness, but unfortunately that's where it ended. Thank you for the opportunity to read and review this book

It felt like it could be a bit formulaic but I really enjoyed this. Strong lead characters backed by a support cast that kept the story moving with all the ups, downs you expect and the oh-yeahs you want in a new romance.

Thank you Netgalley, the publisher, and the author for the opportunity to read this ARC for an honest review. This was so good! Loved the workplace romance setting, the characters-so good!

Interesting idea, terrible execution.

For a lead that doesn't want to have her life defined by her chronic illness, Jules certainly thinks about nothing else. Every moment of this book is overwhelmed by her illness. The worst part is how she uses it as an excuse for treating her "adversary" poorly. Jules is antagonistic to Tom from the beginning because it makes her feel better. Not cool.

NetGalley & the publisher provided an eARC for review.

I started reading this book merely by its cover. It's a cute story that brought tears to my eyes while reading it. I totally recommend this to those who love books with depth and emotions.

First off these were two of my favorite quotes from the book:

“People judge fast, don’t they? Once they decide you are one thing, it’s almost impossible to change their minds, yet nobody can be defined by just one thing. Not ever.”

“People who are fighting a disease can still be extraordinary. One does not preclude the other. On the contrary, often illness brings out the truest parts of a person’s personality.”

Secondly, everyone needs a best friend like Alan! Yes, I could guess the ending but I fell in love with the connection between Tom and Jules. Thank you NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I'm such a sucker for enemies to lovers - and this was well done. I felt a connection to the characters early on, and wanted to see how everything would turn out for them. There were some heart wrenching and potentially triggering things within the story, but I think it truly added to the overall greatness of it. I'm a big fan of Bradbury's Grape series, so this was one I was excited to read. Would recommend, especially if you're a fan of Laura's writing already. 3.75 rounded up.

A wonderful book that places not-so-visible health crises and transplants in the forefront. You will be cheering Jules and Tom on from the beginning. Definitely recommending this book and looking forward to reading more by Laura Bradbury. Thank you NetGalley for the ARC.

This was such a cute book! I went into this not knowing anything about how crazy transplants can be! This education enemies to lovers book teaches you about how severe liver transplants can be. Jules and Tom have their own companies in a co-working space. While both have different work and personalities, this makes it very likely for opposites to attract and learn from each other.
