Whenever I hear a new jasmine Guillory book is out I run not walk to get it immediately.Margot along with her brother owns Noble winery in Napa Valley. One night after work she stops off at her favorite restaurant the Barrel to spend some with the owner and friend Sydney. Margot, feeling down on her luck and needing a pick me up so Sydney decides to play matchmaker and set her up with a young man at the bar. At first Margot is not interested but Luke turns out to be a great conversationalist and he was not hard to look at either. As the night comes to a close Margot ends up at Luke's home and what she thought was a one night stand.
The next morning her brother comes in and introduces her to the new hire and its known other than Luke. Both seeing each other in which she's now his boss of course have her especially in a conundrum. He too wondering what's in store for them and if he could ever pursue her again. Ms. Guillory's romance novels brings a realistic and believable storyline of today's modern day dating. Loved how we not only got a love story but a look into real life world of wine making and wine tasting in Napa Valley.
Although most of the narration is through Margo point of view we also get some of Luke's thoughts/narration as well of what he thinks of her and seeing how both of them are trying to navigate what kind of relationship they have exactly. Review on goodreads and will later be on amazon.

Jasmine Guillory never disappoints! I whizzed through this modern love story in record time and would gladly recommend. All of the characters and their relationships rang true and kept my interest throughout. Now just wondering which character gets the next shot at romance!

Margot is our badass CEO of Napa based winery and hits it off with a stranger, Luke who definitely made a glowing impression on her within a single night. Next day, they find out that Luke is a new employee hired by her brother and due to their employer-employee relationship, thye have to forget their special day. But can they? Especially when they had a magical night? Also is Luke really going to be an employee forever?

It has some steam, some charming personalities and predictable but cute moments throughout the book. I liked how diversity topic was also brought in and how it can impact enough to actually force people to quit their jobs. It is high time firms actively manage it. And definitely interested in Elliot's own book!

I loved Guillory's characters in her newest romance. The problem I had with this book, however, was that there were few real problems that the two main characters had to overcome. Sure they weren't always honest with each other; sure they had family issues; sure they were insecure about their work abilities. Still there wasn't much drama. I liked the early Guillory books because I thought I was seeing what a black woman/man might be facing that I hadn't experienced. There was little of this -- some, but not very much -- that would make me feel that I was learning something. Still it is an enjoyable read.

I always laugh while reading her books and I am so happy to see what will happen, not just with the MCs, but also to all of the other characters and the environments in which they exist. I read this book at the end of the month, and it was exactly what I needed to take my mind off the news and let me escape mentally for a little bit. Margot works with her brother for their family winery – the two took over after her uncle died, but she feels like he doesn’t think she deserves her part of the ownership. One night when she’s drinking at the bar her best friend works at, she meets a handsome stranger and goes home with him… only to find out the next day that he’s her new employee at the winery! Margot is determined to keep things professional – but with the chemistry and tension simmering between them, will she be able to? I love Jasmine Guillory’s books and this was no exception. It’s just the right amount of romance, family pressures, and discussions about race and identity.

They end up hooking up in what Margot thought was a one night stand.. until she walks into the winery the next day and meets her brother’s new hire for the second time!

This was a great feel-good book and I really enjoyed it.

Jasmine Guillory is a very popular author, one whose books I didn’t think I liked that much. Her latest, Drunk on Love, has proved me wrong. This story is about Margot Noble who owns and runs an inherited winery along with her brother. She meets a charismatic younger guy while visiting her favorite bar in Napa. Luke Williams is looking for a fun temporary job after quitting his high-pressure tech position in Silicon Valley. The chemistry between them is undeniable and they end up spending a hot night together. Little did either of them know they would meet again the next morning as Luke was the newest employee of Noble Winery and Margot was now his boss.

Was this book predictable? Sure, but it was also charming and so enjoyable. Margot was feisty and Luke’s character was sexy and loveable.

This is a classic Jasmine Guillory book. If you have liked any of her previous books you are going to love this one. One of the most fun games I played while reading it was trying to figure out which characters she was setting up to be the main characters in future books.

This was not my favorite Jasmine Gulliory novel, but it was a nice introduction to a new series. It was very predictable, and by the end of the first chapter you knew where the story would go but it was still a charming story. I really enjoyed the call back to the previous series and it was done in such a cute way.

Cute, but fell short of Guillory's usual standard. I could gave gone with a bit less steamy stuff and a bit more witty conversation, because I think she's great at that, but she totally delivered on making me want snacks through pretty much the whole book.

Jasmine Guillory has not let me down with a romance novel yet! This was super cute while also dealing with some bigger topics like complicated sibling relationships and racial bias.

I enjoyed this book immensely and hope I picked up the clues correctly that the scene was being set for a book focusing on Margot’s brother because I would love to read more books set in the winery!

This book was really fun. I love the winery setting and I loved the relationship with Luke and Margot. All the supporting characters were fun too.

This was a nice little road trip read - and the noble family winery DOES sound fun. Also, there's a fun cameo from Jasmine's previous books. Sweet, fun, food, it's a Jasmine book.

I really wanted to like this more. It didnt feel like the typical Guillory novel or maybe her "style" has sort of run its course with me. But it was OK. Pretty good plot. Loved th setting of Napa. But i cant put my finger on it but it didn't "curl all the way over" with me.
