Ah, now I want to drink a bunch of wine and visit Napa. The setting for this book helps to fuel the passion and fire between Luke and Margot. They both have flaws; both of them have some trust issues which you just know will come up in their relationship at some point. I liked Margot’s independence and spirit but I also felt that she had a wall up for no good reason. Luke is defeated by having worked in a toxic work culture and needs a fresh start. Neither of them were looking for each other but found what they needed.

Oops, she did it again! Another intelligent and successful woman finds that love can complicate her carefully curated ambition. And there's wine! This one reads like a visit to wine country. Delighful!

My Dad was born and raised in Napa and I grew up there starting in 2nd grade. So I know Napa thank you for making a story about us Napkins. Working in the valley is so different from visiting the valley. I've had friends who worked in tasting rooms and I worked at Dean & Deluca in high school so I know that commute. My sister always laughs at how dressed up people get to go downtown.

Napa is a small town. I swear I go back and see people from high school all over the place. Ok enough about me. So yes I agree with how this book describes Napa from a locals perspective.

I loved the successful brother sister partnership and family owned winery. She's a badass and the one minute she goes to take a break from work to relax she starts talking to a hot guy who's new to town. #onenightstand Then all of a sudden he's the new worker in her tasting room.

Loved their chemistry! And they both had to work through family and personal issues to make it work. It's an workplace romance but he's just taking a break from the tech world after some bad experience.

Loved this! Who wants to go wine tasting?

Thank you berkleyromance and netgalley for the e-ARC for my honest and voluntary review.

Guillory does it again with a swoon worthy romance set in beautiful Napa Valley. As always her book are filled with unapologetic career women, sex and body positive messages, and romance that you cannot help but keep reading. The banter and the relationship between the characters progresses beautifully and is written so well. I also love that the entire focus is not just on the main couple but relationships with others as well. one of those being Margot's relationship with her brother and to see that change and progression was very heartwarming. I also love that we get a guest appearance from Maddie, Alexa, and Live from the Wedding Date series.

All in all a great romance and will definitely be reading again.

Guillory is the queen of rom-coms, and one of my favorite romance authors. I really enjoyed this slow burn with forbidden romance and small town charm 🧡.

Margot Noble is the CEO of Noble Vineyards in Napa Valley, and she is stressed. When she meets an attractive charming man at her friend’s restaurant, she decides to blow off a little steam with a one-night stand. Luke Williams from Silicon Valley checks all of her boxes, but she’s also prepared to never see him again. When Margot shows up to work the next morning, she is surprised to discover that Luke is her new employee. Will the two be able to keep things professional working together at the winery?
.
This book is told from the alternating perspectives of Luke and Margot. Like Guillory’s other books, I appreciated the sex positive and body positive messages. This one was actually spicier than her other books and I’m not mad about it 🔥🌶🌶! I also loved the gorgeous setting of Napa Valley. Maddie, Alexa, and Liv from The Wedding Date series make an appearance that left me smiling.

4/5⭐️

I enjoyed the author’s previous books and was excited about reading this new story.

Set in a beautiful location that made me Google up some scenarios, the small town romance charm is full on in here.

After a one-night stand, Margot and Luke discover that their chemistry is not short-lived since they have to work together.

I loved their banter and push and pull. The secondary characters bring a great addition to the overall growth of Margo especially. Her work ethic and decisions to change her life and take the risk to open up her heart along with the dream of a family and love in the future, made me want to give her a pep talk and a hug in the end. Same goes for Luke, trying to make a new life without disappointing his mother.

It is a beautiful romance story that many lovers of the genre will enjoy.

Jasmine Guillory writing a Black romance that takes place at a Black owned winery in Napa Valley…I swear this book was made for me. I adored this book.

I loved both Margot and Luke. They tried to play off not being able to be together since Luke becomes an employee at Margot’s family winery (thanks to her brother), but their chemistry was palpable. There’s so much banter and angst, which I loved.

I also really enjoyed working through the personal baggage that both Margot and Luke had. It made both of them so relatable for me since family issues are something we can’t avoid.

My only gripe is that I wanted to actually be at the Noble family vineyard and try the wines!

Like the rest of Guillory's books, this one has relatable characters and believable romances. Cute and enjoyable, excited to read a different set of characters by this wonderful author!

Margot Noble is co-owner of the family winery with her brother Elliot. Margot always feels like she has to prove herself to Elliot. One night while visiting her best friend at her friend's bar, Margot meets Luke Williams and sparks fly. A few hours of talking turns into one night neither of them will ever forget. The next day at work Margot is in a great mood until she meets the new employee Elliot hired for the tasting room.....yep.....Luke Williams! The chemistry is sizzling between Margot and Luke but nothing can happen since she is his boss. When Luke has to quit the winery to help his mom out at her inn, Luke and Margot quickly connect. After a month of everything smelling like roses, real life comes crashing into their world and everything explodes. It will take a lot of inner reflection for these two to find their happy ending but they finally do find it.

I enjoyed this boss/employee, older woman/younger man romance but I did not love it. I loved the story line premise but at times I thought the story dragged out and the two main characters were rehashing the same things over and over. I really liked both of the characters and all of the secondary characters but I just wish there was more to the story.

Jasmine Guillory is a MUST READ for me. So I could not wait to get my hands on this book.

I hate to say it, but despite starting off with plenty of steam, this book started to drag for me in the middle! But I pushed through and I'm so glad I did!

Despite starting off with intense chemistry and attraction, the relationship development felt like more of a slow-burn romance I think that after the hot and heavy start, it was just a matter of pivoting for me the reader. I expected it to be that way the entire book but it really was a lesson in what happens when you get past the initial chemistry. Is there enough there to have an actual relationship?

After the middle of the book, the rest of the book flies bay because the conflict between the characters( that was really a failure in communication which I HATE but went with because it's Jasmine Guillory) was resolved in the last few chapters of the book.

This was a bit spicier than her usual books, but I didn't mind AT ALL. LOL

This was a fun light-hearted read and Ms. Guillory delivered! I definitely recommend it!

I am a Jasmine Guillory stan. I am going to always read her books no matter what. I love the ease of her writing style along with the simple storylines. I did enjoy this one. I think Margot is a little off her rocker and if she were a real character I would highly advise seeking out a counselor. Many of the conflicts in this book were due to Margot being an over-thinker.

Nonetheless, Luke sounds like a good time and I loved the level of spice in this book. It was not too much but just enough to get in your feels.

**3.5-stars rounded up**

Margot has been busy the past 3-years co-running Noble Family Vineyards with her brother, Elliott. The brother-sister duo inherited the Napa Valley vineyard and corresponding business when their dear Uncle passed away. Margot has always felt like her brother was displeased that she was included in the bequeathment. Because of this, she has continuously worked extra hard to prove herself to him.

It's put a strain on their relationship. Nevertheless, they both show up to work every day and bust their humps. Sometimes after a stressful day, Margot likes to go to her best friend, Sydney's restaurant, The Barrel, sit at the bar, chat with her friend, have some drinks and food, it's her go-to for unwinding.

On one particular night, a very handsome man ends up sitting right beside her. After some friendly prodding from Sydney, Margot ends up taking a chance and striking up a conversation with him. He's quite charming and the two end up hitting it off, keeping each other company for the next few hours. Before they know it, it's time to go, but neither really wants the night to end.

Luckily, they both live close by, so it doesn't have to. One thing leads to another and the next morning, Luke, is dropping Margot off at her apartment before work. Whoops, that might have gone too far, but boy, was it fun. Margot's happy. She needed that. A fun little release. She fully expects and is prepared to never see Luke again.

Then she gets to work and that very morning is introduced to their new hire. Imagine her surprise when Luke walks into her office, just as sexy as the night before. The two have to pretend they've never met, all while keeping their insane chemistry in check. The sparks traveling between them have to be snuffed out and ASAP.

How are these one-time lovers going to make this work? Can they hide their feelings from everyone, even themselves?

Drunk on Love is the 7th-book that I have read from Ms. Jasmine Guillory. I love her writing and will continue to pick up all her new releases. While I will say this one felt a bit more subtle and serious than her other works, I still really enjoyed it. The characters were well-developed, believable and relatable. I was invested in their journeys, both together and individually.

I always like how Guillory's characters are working through things in their careers, or family lives, that warrants equal attention to the romance involved in the story. For me, I need more substance than a strictly romantic plot to stay invested and Guillory always delivers that.

This is no exception. Both Margot and Luke are at sort of pivotal points in their lives, with their careers and in making decisions for their futures; where they want to be and what they want to be doing. I liked the way that Guillory was able to explore them individually so deeply, without giving preference really to one over the other. The dual POV narrative definitely helped with that.

This is a sweet story. Luke is a dreamy leading man, so focused on Margot, on making her feel safe, happy and appreciated. Margot was strong, independent and goal-oriented. I loved that about her. She didn't need a man to make her life complete, but was willing to open her heart if the right one came along, even though it scared her to let down her defenses.

I had fun with this. I loved the setting in Napa Valley and the vineyard angle will set it apart for me, as I haven't read any other romances taking place with that as a backdrop. It was a lovely change of pace. A perfect Autumnal romance!

Thank you so much to the publisher, Berkley Books, for providing me with a copy to read and review.

The newest Jasmine Guillory did not disappoint! Set in Napa Valley, we fall in love with the two main characters Margot, a co-owner of a winery; and Luke, a former programmer who has recently moved back to wine country.

The romance in this book was a slow burn and the conflicts between the two love interests seemed realistic. Yes, there was a lack of communication (which is a trope I tend to hate in romance novels!) but the reasoning behind why a character lacked communication or rationalized their actions was less frustrating than in some other novels with this trope. Compared to Guillory’s other novels in The Wedding Party universe this one was pretty spicy! Of course, like the other novels, a few characters from the previous ones make a guest appearance!

My favorite part of this novel was the setting. Not only does the majority of the novel take place at Noble Vineyards, the winery Margot go-owns with her brother, but there are also a lot of mentions of the local eateries. I love when novels describe drinks and food and this book does that in yummy detail! I think this might be my favorite from this author and if you felt disappointed in the last one (While We Were Dating), definitely give this one a try.

I managed to finish this beauty of a book over the weekend. With more mature characters (she at 35, he at 29), I found the focus of the book was more interesting as both our MC's were work focused. Both had their own issues with their workplaces and it was great to see them resolve these both together and on their own. If you enjoy steamy scenes and witty banter amidst a lush winery background, you'll enjoy this book. Fans of Jasmine Guillory, this is another great one to add to her list!

I really enjoyed Jasmine Guillory's other books (Love by the Book in particular) but this one didn't hit the same for me. The characters were great, Margot is very relatable, but I just didn't care for the setting. I'm not much of a wine person and so, the book kind of fell flat for me. I am looking forward to diving into her next book though!

I really enjoyed Drunk on Love by Jasmine Guillory, a sexy, flirty and fun story taking place at a Napa winery. Margot Noble owns and runs an inherited winery along with her brother, Elliot, when she meets a charismatic younger guy while visiting her favorite bar in Napa. Luke Williams is looking for a fun temporary job after quitting his high-pressure tech position in Silicon Valley. The chemistry between them is undeniable as they spend a sizzling one-off night together. Unfortunately, neither knew they would meet again, the next morning, as Luke was the newest employee of Noble Winery and Margot was now his boss. This was an interesting story with two tropes, age-gap and workplace romance; but this time with a twist. The older adult and boss was a woman. Margot and Luke decide it was best not to engage in a romantic relationship since she’s his boss; adding an engaging dynamic. Their chemistry was off the charts and it was interesting and stressful watching their struggle to keep things professional.

Ms. Guillory wrote a wonderful, heartwarming romance, filled with sizzling chemistry, life challenges, amusing banter, and charming characters that is definitely not to be missed. I highly recommend Drunk on Love to other readers.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Drunk on Love is a cute and spicy contemporary romance set in Napa Valley. The meet cute and subsequent boss/employee tension was great. Both Margot and Luke are on their best behaviour at work and nothing major happens until they're not attached professionally.

The audiobook has two narrators for the two POVs, which is always my preference for multiple POVs in a romance. Heidi Franklin and Vincent Anderson each have a great cadence and it was a pleasure to listen to the audiobook.

The main focus of the novel comes from Margot's drive to make the family's winery successful and Luke not being ready to share with his mom that he quit his high paying Silicon Valley job. Family relationships and dynamics play a big part in this story.

Coming in at 400 pages and just over 11 hours, there was some repetition and I found the pacing dragged for me. The dialogue and characters' choices often felt juvenile for the ages of the MCs (MMC 28, FMC 34). Communication is something I'd recommend both characters work on.

Drunk on Love is quite a bit spicier than the other Jasmine Guillory I've read (The Proposal) with an open door scene (but then fades to black before the full deed) in the first few chapters. I'm normally one for all the spice but each scene ended up feeling the same by the end.

Oh gosh I wish I could bottle this book and emotions up to remember the feelings this book gave me. This is romance perfection. Jasmine Guillory gets better and better with each new book.
You get older woman, younger man, forbidden flair as she is his boss (they didn't know at the moment), a crush that keeps growing the more they work together. Then as the time goes by they discover they are just meant to be together. SWOONS!
Also the FMC is such a boss babe, I love boss babes like her. She is so relatable as she is always battling her inner imposter syndrome, even hustling past her brother's nay saying attitude.
The MMC is a complete cinnamon roll, I LOVE heroes like this. They are a sure way to my heart!
Their love story is so adorable, and the story is written so chic and sophisticated! I want to see this as a movie so bad!

This book was Jasmine Guillory at her best. She does a great job at character description and development. Margot and Luke strike up,a conversation at a Napa bar. He is a former tech guy, she co-owns a winery. A steamy evening ensues (and morning after.). Luke gives Margot his number.
Hours later, Luke shows up to his new job he and Margot are shocked as they come face to face with each other as employer and employee.
Guillory does a nice job with the spice. There is a fair amount here. I also have a feeling that we will get the stories of some of the supporting characters in subsequent books. I’m here for it, I found myself curious about what will happen with them next.
This was a nice love story that was hard to put down. I definitely recommend. Thank you to Jasmine Guillory and Berkley Publishing Group for the advanced copy. This book comes out September 20!

Jasmine Guillory Seems to be a can’t miss author. Every book I have read by her has been terrific. I think it is because she develops her characters so beautifully. They all seem like we could be friends. I did also love the setting of this book. It was so easy to imagine, since I live near one country. Even if you do not live in wine country, I am sure it is easy to envision. A winery is a very romantic setting.
