Quite a steamy book! This was my first RH, and I wasn't disappointed in the smut level. I'm still thinking about some of these scenes.

However, I would have enjoyed more of a plot. What we got seemed rushed over and too easy.

You want a fast-paced book about sexy times with wild vampires? This is it.

I didn't read this as it has way too many triggers i wouldn't enjoy, but the author did a great job having them listed up front.

Polyamorous bisexual vampire erotica. "Court of the Vampire Queen" plays fast and loose with any sense of world building or plot. Not too surprising, given that the focus was bloody (quite literally) sex, but that aspect quickly got boring and repetitive.

This is a republishing of a series of three novellas. There are some minor inconsistencies and an annoying amount of repeats that make it clear that the original novellas were directly spliced together and not edited to better fit as a single title.

NetGalley & the publisher provided an eARC for review.

I don't think Katee Robert gets enough hype for how creative her stories are and how spicy her spice is. Highly recommend for ebook purchase

I mean....wow. This was 75% sex, and 25% some sort of plot line?? I guess...
I was willing to look past that, but even the magic/plot that was mixed in was confusing. It just missed the mark for me.

Vampires, blood, desire, attraction, power and action. This book has it all! All Minas ever wanted was freedom, but being sent as a sacrifice to a starving vampire might throw a wrench in her plans. Especially when she becomes less concerened with escaping and more concerned trying not to feel attraction to her captor.

Katee Robert sizzles the pages like no other and I totally enjoyed this one. The action starts right away with the reluctant MC getting to know her new vampire 'master'. But things get really interesting the further you read. Whew! Loved it.

In Court of the Vampire Queen we join Mina - half human, half vampire. Her Father (with not the nicest of intentions!) gifts her to a very powerful vampire, Malachi. Mina finds out that Malachi is not the wicked vampire she initially believes him to be and feelings ensue. Two of Malachi's closest friends join the two and some naughty times begin!

I really did enjoy this but I think there is actually, if it's even possible, too much smut! To the point I actually forgot the main plot at one point.

I still enjoyed it but maybe a bit too much for me in this one.

Whew. This book follows the life of Mina (half-human and half-vampire), who has desired freedom from her father. After she's given away to Malachi for political reasons, she becomes the center of his world and that of his friends, Wolf and Rylan. Their story is steamy, the characters have their flaws and strengths, and the author did well to bring together a memorable story.

ABSO-FREAKING-LUTELY FANTASTICCCCCC

What an amazing execution of this book! Honestly there was such complicated dynamic between all the main characters but I have to say Katee did a fantastic job connecting them and making me want to die with the connection Mina and Rylan and the frustration they had to work through.

I love how Katee keeps connecting all her main series. I love the little Easter eggs everywhere or seeing a character from another series mentioned… it’s like Christmas morning 🤤🤤

I love Why Choose Romances and I didn’t expect anything less than delicious from my one true queen.

I want the physical endurance Mina has Lmfaooo this girl just… wow… constantly!! Which I mean.. this is the common theme in Why Chose Romance but damnnnnnnnn I need someone to teach me the ways lol

Let’s be real…. I am not one for pregnancy tropes… like at all but I looooooooove it in this book. The love all the main characters had was reflected in their kids and even tho we didn’t get the babies king it was just so stinking cuteeee!!

I think my absolute favorite part is Azazel keeping my favorite rebel badass girl for himself over in the demon realm… CANNOT WAIT TO READ THAT BOOK HEHEHEHEHE

I’ll start off by saying I love Katee Robert. I’ve been a huge fan of many of her other books and was super eager to read this one.

But I ended up having to DNF at 10% because it just…didn’t do anything for me. I didn’t like the main character, not even a little, and I desperately hoped I would stretching out going back to read more until I just finally gave up.

I’m sure there’s an audience for this but it’s just not me.

Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for letting me read this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I sincerely appreciate the opportunity to read and review this book. I like the chemistry and there's no doubt this author writes steam well. She's the queen of careful and considerate treatment of her characters. I'm a little bummed to write this.

Unfortunately, it was not my favorite from this author. Katee Robert is one of the best romance authors in the game, so this has no impact on future plans to read and love her characters.

WOW, steamy, hot paranormal romance. Definitely has a lot of love, control, attraction and hot steamy themes. Author didn’t hold back in anything. I enjoyed the story.

I was a little nervous going into this book at first because this is my first reverse harem book. I shouldn’t have been worried because I know Katee Robert was going to get me right! This was top tier smut from the very first page. However, if you are looking for more story and less everything else you might be disappointed with this one. The is maybe 25% plot and the rest is very sex driven. I had a good time with this book nonetheless and will definitely read another Katee Robert book.

I absolutely loved this book!
I previously read the 3 separate novellas and adored them, so I'm so happy i got the opportunity to read this book!

I loved all the characters and loved how they interacted with each other.
I loved the plot and how it developed throughout the book - with some twists I was not expecting!

I will definitely be reading more from this author!

Katee Robert's knows how to bring the spice and she definitely did so in Court of the Vampire Queen. I loved the paranormal aspects too - she always does that so well.

Crystal's Thoughts;

“You might have the bond, little dhampir, but we do, too. You're ours just as much as we're yours.”

Half human and half vampire Mina has never shown any signs of power, much to her father's chagrin. Kept out of sight and misused by her fellow vampires and dhampirs alike, Mina dreams of the day that she can escape her father's hateful clutches and be free. Those dreams come crashing down though when she is sent to another vampire lord's home to be used as a political pawn and blood sacrifice. Or is it a blessing in disguise? Because Malachi Zion is not at all what Mina expected or what his reputation infers. And with his help, and the help of his two best friends, Mina has the chance to not only take down her father but take his crown as well. If she's brave enough... With three powerful vampires at her back though and powers that she never dreamed of holding she just may stand a chance...if she can survive the seductive appetites of her men, that is.

I've read a lot of books from Katee Robert and I don't believe that I have ever rated a single one under four stars...until now. This book, I honestly don't know how it got through editing from Sourcebooks as-is. First; I'm not a hard-core social media person so please correct me if I am wrong, but this book read as if it was originally a three-part serial. The book was broken up into three different acts, and at the beginning of each act story-line from the last was reiterated. As if there was time between for the reader and they needed a refresher. But you didn't, because you literally just read that minutes ago! Second; there were quite a number of inconsistencies, contradictions, and redundancies. Especially towards the end of the book. A new power that wasn't previously mentioned, or that was mentioned as something different. An action that was stated and later forgotten... Lastly, this book is read for one reason and one reason only... and it is not for the stellar plot-line. Oh boy... lol

Now Katee Robert knows how to write a burning hot romance, no question about that. However, while this book was H. O. T. - HAWT *insert fire emoji* there was very little romance. Which was a bummer for me because I was kind of digging Malachi and I would have liked to know more of his back story, inner workings, and had more one on one time between him and Mina. There was not a whole lot of character development or backstory, period. With more fleshing out and better editing this story could have been so much better! The plot was fast-paced and there weren't many lulls, what with all of the sex, danger, and blood. I was never quite sure what to think about Wolf and Rylan though, and never really felt a connection to the main character Mina either. BUT I did keep reading and it was slightly entertaining, despite finding myself rolling my eyes on many occasions, and there is no question that this book will make you all kinds of hot and squirmy. In the end though, it missed it's mark for me.

“I suppose it's not a bad thing to have an abundance of love.”

This book is spicy, right out of the gate!

This book is more similar to her "Demon Bargainer" series than "Dark Olympus."
