This was sadly a DNF, as I've said in many other reviews that I have to have something certain with a romance, but I felt this was slightly too slow paced for me and I couldn't get into it. I think I MAY have gone into this with different expectations and that's completely on me!

It was okay. It can be cute, but I couldn't really get into it because I often got bored. I feel like it could have been shorter to quicken its pacing but I know it would have its audience!

The cover really drew me in and I really love the premise of this one! How do you know if the one is the one when you've already had your one? I loved this book and can't wait to read more of Lester!

I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide me review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.

Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.

However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x

This was a cute book. Very average for me. I didn't love it but I didn't dislike it. I had a bit of trouble connecting with the characters and story.

The One After the One was a cute pick me up read. The romance will make you smile and I enjoyed the female friendships. I'm not a huge fan of the miscommunication trope so sometimes that made the book lag a little, but overall a nice book.

The One After the One is the PERFECT read for a miserable, gloomy day. It is packed with laughter, tears, surprises and romance. It’s a story about the turmoil and difficulties created by loss of a loved one. But it’s also a story about the affirming power of female friendships and the possibilities that open up when you to dare to believe in your future. This was such a beautiful read that is handled so sensitively. My first of Cass Lester but definitely not my last!

3 stars read for me

I really enjoyed this. I've read other books about someone trying to rebuild their life after a bereavement and this one seemed to handle the subject particularly well.

How can you move on when the big love of your life has died? How can you find love again when anyone you meet is automatically going to be compared to him? That's the problem facing Charley, who has met a lovely man who is easy to love, but perhaps not so easy to fall in love with.

I found the characters to be all interesting and their issues with each other to be thoroughly believable. While I wasn't so convinced by the Prosecco themed shop and how the business was run, it wasn't enough of an issue to distract from a story that drew me in and kept me reading.

Definitely one for romantics.

Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC without obligation.

DNF - I know there is an audience for this book within those dedicated to this genre but, I could not gel with this story & in all it just wasn't for me.

A quick and easy read that I found myself picking up after a long day to unwind. The characters are beautifully written and I came to love them within the first few pages and was rooting for them all the way to the end. At times I wanted to stop reading because I just wanted the experience to go on for longer.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Unfortunately I didn't gel with this book. I don't hate the miscommunication trope but this one was so prominent it just made me a frustrated reader.

It had real promise for the characters, and I totally understood the character decisions and even resonated with them to a point. However, it felt far to drawn out to have ended far to suddenly in the final two pages!

I liked some of the characters, though this could have been amplified with less of the Main character sulk and more of an actual storyline. She was too stubborn and selfish and it grinded on me until the very end.

I did not receive this book, I was sent 'After the One ' so my review is about the first book, not this one.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book. I have chosen to write this honest review voluntarily and it reflects my personal opinion.
At first I found it a little difficult to get into the book due to the characters: Charley seemed to be wallowing in her widowhood whilst Tara was opinionated to the point of rudeness. However, as the the book progressed I came to like the characters more, particularly Pam, who brought a mature perspective alongside her own story. I really enjoyed the character development, although I could have done with more pointers on the timeline as the story seemed to stretch over more months than I'd thought whilst reading a segment of a storyline.
I thought this book sets the scene for the series very well, and would enjoy reading more.

Unfortunately, despite my excitement to read this book, it wasn't for me.

I found the plot too slow-paced and the characters weren't strong enough to hold my interest.

If you have already met, married, and lost the one, does that mean you’re done? That is the question plaguing Charley as she analyzes her current relationship with her moderate Ricky. Having married the love of her life and lost him, she is worried that what she feels for Ricky will never live up to what she’s had, so she makes the rushed decision to break up.

Now, Charley is running her Prosecco themed shop, dealing with friendship and business drama, and thinking maybe just maybe she gave up on love a bit too soon.

This novel felt like a good representation of the uncertainty people feel after losing someone, not knowing when they are ready to move on, and the fear of missing out on what moving on has to offer.

Thanks to NetGalley for the digital advanced reader copy.

The One After the One drives home the power of friends. I enjoyed getting to know Charley and watching her journey through grief unfold. A sweet and touching book over all!

As much as I wanted to continue reading this book, this was a DNF for me. I strongly DISLIKE not finishing books but, something didn’t click for me. It was a bit too slow-paced for my liking.

Although this book wasn’t to my liking, I’m sure someone else would love it!

Again, thanks to Net Galley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review! I truly appreciate the opportunity to read this book early.

Read a previous version of this book. The story has been changed a bit. A good read with a serious side , the main character is coping with the untimely death of her husband and redundancy. Easy and entetaining to read .
