Princess Fuzzypants here; This is a great book for cat lovers of all ages or anyone who wants to learn about the myriad of breeds around the world. In no particular order, it covers the usual suspects- breeds like my own, Maine Coon heritage. But I like how it also veers off into a number of related breeds that came from the original ones. . I am an expurrt, being a cat myself, but there were a few entries that were new to even me.

It is written by cats, which I like very much. Being a cat of letters myself, it allows us to tell our own stories, often in our own words. The interviews are excellent. I am only miffed that no one thought to interview me. But it is a small concern. The overall book more than compensates for the snub. I might have preferred different art work but because it did not show up clearly in my Kindle (I received an advanced copy in return for an honest review), it may have been the fault of the Kindle rather than the book.

Those minor negatives aside, I will still give it a glowing five purrs and two paws up. It was a fun and informative book and deserves to be included in your library.

This was such a cute compilation of cat facts! The pictures were well done and it had lots of fun facts that I hadn't heard of before. Kids will love looking at this and learning all these facts. I also liked how it referenced certain cats in history, so the reader has a bit of a history lesson.

This is basically an encyclopedia of cat breeds aimed at middle-grade readers, though cat fanciers of all ages will find it fascinating. In between the entries about breeds from around the world are stories of famous felines. I'd recommend this one for libraries and schools as kids seem to adore this type of factual animal book.

This is a terrific book for kids who love cats! It's whimsical and informative. I think it would be a great option for anyone researching what kind of cat to look for at a shelter.

Atlas of Cats gives so much information about different types of cats with lots of fun illustrations to go along with it! I loved learning about different types of cats, as well as how they came to be, and certain breed characteristics. This would be great for any cat lover, child or adult!

Atlas of Cats came at the perfect time as we were studying cats in our homeschool this past spring. This reference book discusses 25 different breeds with a ton of in-depth information. Learn about their personalities, where the breed came from, which cats are more social, and which ones are more independent. There's also information about how to take care of your own pet. Atlas of Cats is marketed to ages 6-9, but I would suggest this one for a slightly older audience. Perhaps the tween years. But in all honesty, I learned a lot as well. My only word of caution is that the illustrations and graphics didn't show up on the kindle version. It was a sad disappointment. However, I think the print version would be substantially better.

I have always been a cat lover. I have had several cats in my life and I have loved them all so much. One of my cats was even a life saver for me. I had epilepsy and when I would have seizures my cat would run and jump on my parents and meow constantly until they came to check on me. Cat's are so amazing. They are smart, beautiful, perfect comic relief, and so sweet and sassy. If you love cats like I do then you will love this adorable book. It tells all about different kinds of cats. It does a wonderful job explaining the different cats personalities, what they look like, including different color variations, the different facial expressions and tail movements they have and the life expectancy of the cats. The illustrations are adorable and colorful. This is the perfect book for cat lovers of all ages.

He has his own cat and has saves two from outside. He loves this book, we found our cats and learned about them and he was interactive with the book. We will definitely buy this for his book shelf.

This book is perfect for any cat lover or anyone who wants to learn more about cats. The books discusses all the different breeds of cats, their characteristics, fun facts, and many different stories. The pictures are adorable and cute. Great for any age.

You’ll learn how each cat breeds was bred, if they are cuddlers, what they look like, how smart they are, what their personalities are like, and much more!

🐈‍⬛ Information is presented in an easy to understand format. While there is a good amount of writing on each page, it is broken up into smaller sections so you can read bits here and there if you prefer.

🐈‍⬛ This book is written for children ages 6 to 9, but i think it could be interesting for all ages. It is 108 pages long.

🐈‍⬛ I actually learned a thing or two from reading this book. I definitely recommend it for kids and cat lovers.

This is an amazing book for cat lovers - I like a cat but this is for the tier of people who like a cat more than me! Tons of info for the serious enthusiast.

This book is absolutely adorable. Any cat lover kid will dig this up! The illustrations are adorable, the breed information is accurate along with a lot of other informative tidbits. I really enjoyed the meow news sections talking about famous cats too. I'm really excited to share this one with my kids!

Atlas of Cats is a fun and interesting non-fiction book for young cat lovers! The book covers many different breeds of cat and what makes them unique. There are also some fun features such as "Meow News" articles, world records and lots of funny and interesting pictures. Some of the non-fiction text features include: text boxes, diagrams, lists, legends, charts/tables, arrows, labels, bold text and headings. The fonts, pictures and random facts will definitely keep the interest of young readers. While there is a lot of text on each page and over 100 pages, I think that some children would enjoy looking at the pictures or reading this book with a friend or family member. I think this book would be best suited for children in the 8-11 range, but some younger or older kids may enjoy it as well.
