Written during the COVID 19 lockdown, this book serves as a beautiful reminder that though we all live in our own little corners of the world, we are ALL part of one vast universe. The author's brightly colored illustrations are delightful.

The illustrations in this book are adorable! You could use this in many ways in the classroom. It could be used when studying prepositions, colors. or communities. There are adjectives throughout that could be examined as well. I think it could be used with a wide range of ages, depending on what you are using the book for.

Using different colors, changing fonts, and images, children (and adults) can follow where the playful kitty is. Starting under a wobbly table, the images progressively show a table, room, apartment, house, street, city, continent, world, solar system and finally universe. Take your time and enjoy all the images and don't forget to check and see at the end what our kitty brought home and left on the wobbly table. B

I love a beautiful book that grows with children through different ages and stages! Where in the World Are You starts with a cat under a table and slowly "zooms out" into space, using bright colors, fun adjectives, and LOTS of prepositional phrases. I could picture myself reading this to a toddler or using it in the classroom to teach grammar.

This book would be good in a classroom to be used to discuss location, prepositions, and adjectives.

This book gives young readers a great introduction to the concepts of location and place. By slowly zooming out, describing a location as being inside of other locations progressively until you are in our ever expanding universe, this challenging concept is clearly explained in a way that young children will understand. I also love that the book does it twice, first giving one location per page then reviewing it quickly at the end to almost paraphrase and solidify the concepts. As the Early Years representative for my provincial Social Studies teachers association, I would highly recommend this book to other early years teachers. Community and the idea that we are connected to others but remain in separate locations around the globe is a common Early Years curricular outcome and it can be a complicated one to teach K-4 students many of whom are developmentally still in the self-centred "world revolves around me" perspective of the world around them. I could definitely see using this book as part of a me and my community lesson in K-2 and could also see referring back to it in grade 3 and 4 with students who are starting to develop an understanding that a location such as a town or city is within a province and country etc. I look forward to purchasing a copy of this book for my teaching resources and classroom library collection in the fall. Where in the World Are You? takes a basic question and adds layers as it goes. The illustrations are bright and engaging, yet simple in design. We enjoyed watching the journey of the black cat throughout the book, especially when it was in the rocket ship. It read as if a child was continuing to ask questions, which, after reading the authors note at the end, made perfect sense! The adjectives used to describe where things were really brought depth to the story too.

Where in the World Are You? is a delightfully colorful book that puts into perspective the vastness of this world in a kid-friendly way. It starts off with a black cat under a wobbly table and we expand and expand out until we're out in the entire milky way. We're all apart of it together, no matter how grand and vast it all might be!

This book would be a great read-aloud for young children and could even be used as an introduction to a maps lesson or diversity lesson in social studies! The pictures and colors are captivating. This book is one of my favorite Childrens books so far this year! I love the concept of starting with a cat under a table and expanding it more and
Ore until we are viewing the Milky Way. It had learning principals such as colors and scientific ideas. The illustration was awesome! Can’t wait to get my copy!
