A one-night stand to forever with a little BDSM thrown in written by Serenity Snow. The Madam’s Lover is the kickoff to the “Assassin's Cove” series and it has promise.

I like Snow for their heat and while Madam has heat, I think I was expecting a little bit more since Tatiana likes a little pain with her pleasure. It started out with great promise and then went tame in that particular area.

The suspense part of the story was kind of left out as Snow let us know what all of the characters were thinking. I think I would have liked a little bit more mystery and danger for the couple.

Snow is good at laying the groundwork for future stories and there are a plethora of characters to continue the tale.

Overall, I just wanted more: more heat, more mystery, and more action.

The cover art will mislead you. This is the story of Tia, a witch from a powerful family, that is betrothed to further the family's magic and business connections. Just one issue, she's gay and falling for Alexi. Alex is a jaguar shifter and a madam. It is a one sitting read. Very exciting and fun. You won't want to put it down.

The madam's lover by Serenity Snow.
Assassin’s Core, 1.
Tatiana is a buyer for a high-end boutique and a lesbian partially in the closet. On a dark road on a stormy night, fate throws her into the arms of Alexi Russo.
Absolutely brilliant read. Great story. Loved Alexi and Tatiana. Couldn't put it down. 5*.

This book kept me on my toes. It was mob boss mixed with magic mixed with a little domme/sub thriller. I couldn’t put the book down.

This is a good read, but not great. There are a lot of characters and it's a little confusing to figure out how they're all connected. I can usually track really well on that, but this book was not clear and it took almost the entire book to figure out (and I'm still a little confused on some connections). The main characters aren't super likeable and their relationship seems forced - there doesn't seem to be much between them besides physical chemistry.
