I am a faithful Argenau reader and do love the series, but this is not my favorite. I did enjoy seeing all my favorite characters, but Natalie is not my favorite heroine and Valerian was not clueless enough. That the hero.is clueless about women is my favorite trope in this series. Somehow, Natalie seemed to good to be true. I can't believe anyone could work as hard and selflessly as she did.
Also, the villian was very apparent to me ( not his reasoning though, that was a surprise). Of course I will continue reading this series, as it is one of my favorite series ever, and I love how Sands makes the whole story seem so reasonable.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for giving me an eARC for an honest review.

I stayed up way to late. It was only the first few...pages, no chapters. Lynsay always writes an exciting tale. Her world keeps expanding and I find myself excited for the next installment in the series. After the bite will keep the pages turning.

I quite enjoyed this book. More that thought I would. i really liked the plot, the characters ,and the ending was one i did not see that coming. I enjoyed the build up and how the relationship between valerian and natalie changed and developed throughout the story. I love how valerian understood that natalie and mia were a package deal and that he couldn't just have one and loved how he was so patient with natalie! Would read more from this author.

After The Bite is a beautifully refreshing and wonderfully outstanding story of finding and keeping something as illusive and precious as a life mate. This story swept my heart up into a vividly complex yet undoubtedly worthwhile whirlwind of a second chance at love. I watched with bated breath as a hopeful and good man tried his best to convince a broken and shattered woman that accepting another chance at love could be more extraordinary and enriching a second time around.

Valerian never thought he would ever meet his life mate, but Fate had other plans. Just as he was going about his normal routine, he stumbles across not only a beautiful and gracious woman but the only one who would ever own his heart. The problem was how to show her that he was worth taking a chance on. Due to a horrible catastrophe three years ago, she wasn't interested in anything more then growing her business and taking care of her daughter. Will Valerian see past her defenses and wear her down, or would an unknown evil take away this new possibility for love to grow and flourish?

I lost my heart to the sweet and tender hearted Valerian as he did his best to prove to Natalie that he was a good man that she could trust. He never gave up hope, and his family and friends did everything they could to help. Natalie was more scared of making another bad decision then truly doubting Valerian especially when he saw just how good he was with her daughter. She just needed a meeting of the heart with Valerian before she allowed herself to hope and dream for more.

Lynsay Sands has left me captivated and delighted with this brilliantly original and wickedly passionate adventure. I savored every second, and hated to see it end. Give yourself a treat by enjoying this fascinating and captivating tale of unrelenting love and undying hope.

*SIGH* well like all of Sands books, this was spectacular. Rising well above what I had hoped for, I loved the sweet and funny moments as well as the action and suspense this had going. You can not go wrong with picking up a sands book. EVER

Valerian finally gets his story. He’s just taking some time off from tracking a serial killer when out of no where there she is his life mate.

Natalie owns a golf course where he’s been playing at night after she’s gone. She has an adorable little girl Mia.

Someone is trying to hurt her and he’s not gonna let that happen.

“What do you plan to do with me?” When Valerian hesitated, Tybo said, “He was thinking marriage, babies . . . you know, the usual.” Natalie turned on the man with shock. “What?”

“What are you thinking?” Valerian suddenly asked with concern. Natalie scowled at him, but then admitted, “That my manpicker must be broken.”

Just as fun as always but with a little bit of serious. Another great book in this longtime series.

I've been reading Lynsay Sands' books for a long time and never once have I ever been disappointed. Every single book of hers is so filled with love, friendship, trials and healing, action, adventure, and so much more. I remember the very first time I ever saw a book of hers on the shelves at my local Walmart. It was her book "Tall, Dark, and Hungry." I picked that book up on a whim and it has led me down a most spectacular path of intrigue, the paranormal, and love.

And this book is no different. Valerian is like most of the immortals in this world: strong, handsome, used to taking charge. However, when he meets Natalie and Mia something inside of him stops him from taking over like he would normally be prone to do and to allow Natalie to choose what she would like to do. I love how all of the Life Mates in this series are always given a choice and never forced. Love should come freely and if it's forced can it really be called love?

Anyway, Natalie has had a rough go of things and because of that she is hard won to trust anyone let alone another man. However, she is also smart enough to recognize that Valerian and his friends and family are different.

I loved the mystery aspect of this one. It was a bit chilling, it definitely thrilled, and it made your heart race all at the same time. I loved it. Another marvelous book to add to this ever-growing series and this series never gets old! Please, keep them coming. As long as you write them, then I will most definitely read them.

I absolutely whole heartedly recommend this book and all of the previous ones in the series to boot.

Thank you to Net Galley, the publishers, and to Lynsay Sands for the ability to read and review this book. All opinions are my own and completely honest.

This novel was a continuation of a fantastic series, and if you haven’t read any of the other books in the series the book could be confusing, although the author makes an effort to mention the families’ stories in each book. While this wasn’t my favorite in the series it was still a good read, I enjoyed the characters, especially the female leads back story. The reason I like to read this series is because of how committed the male characters are to their partners, which gives the fantasy factor lol, and this story continues this delightfully. This book was a quick read for me!

I loved reading this paranorma story. This is a series that I have loved reading from the first one. I enjoy this author's writing skills and attention to details that make her stories come to life. They are written with alot of heart and you can see that come through the characters. I highly suggest reading the previous stories in this series as they are just as great. This one is my favorite yet, they keep getting better and better with each book. This book is no different. This is a well written story that is hard to put down. A story that is full of romance and action. The characters pull you into the story from the start. They keep you coming back for more. An engaging story that you don't want to miss. I really enjoyed the growth of the plot as well as the growth of the characters. A must read for sure. I highly recommend this book and this author.

Peril and love on the golf course! I wouldn't have thought of mixing immortals, golf, restaurants and romance, but there you are. This is a fun addition to the Argeneau series by Lynsay Sands. Valerian finds his lifemate, Natalie at the golf course she owns. The setting is a fun place for a paranormal romance, and the danger the heroine faces and the sweetness of her young daughter add a nice dash of sugar and spice to this story of giving love another chance.

It's amazing to see that this is book number thirty-five in the Argeneau series! While I haven't read each book in the series, I can honestly say I've enjoyed every one that I've read. And even though there are lot of books in the series, you don't need to feel as though you need to read them all in order to appreciate them. That said, if you like paranormal romance with a touch of humor, you're sure to enjoy these books. As is often the case in paranormal romance, the supernatural character often recognizes their significant other way before the mortal character does. In this case, Valerian, an immortal, not to be confused with a vampire, meets single mom, Natalie and knows she is his lifemate. But convincing her of that little fact while also saving her from a potential serial killer keeps Valerian and his immortal family and friends very busy. It's amazing that after thirty-five novels, Lynsay Sands manages to keep the series fresh and enjoyable, but she does!

This book is a great addition to the Argeneau series. Even with the amount of books Lynsay Sands keeps the books fresh and intresting.

Lynsay Sands is an amazing storyteller and wonderful at world-building! I have loved every single one of these books and even though there's a TON in this series, I haven't gotten bored with them!

I LOVE Lynsay Sands. I have to admit, though, this is maybe the first of her vampire books that I've read. I think I would have enjoyed this a lot more if I had read the previous books in the series. It's not necessary, but I feel like it would have helped endear me to these characters more and to understand the mates and all that entails. That being said, I loved the story. The use of the supernatural/murder mystery/love story...well, it just really worked. I have to admit that I was even catching myself holding my breath a few times. The heartbreaking backstory for Natalie really just made her that much more relatable and easy to root for. Overall, a big win!

I am familiar with this author and always enjoyed her books. It was still enjoyable, light and fun. I did like the mystery of who is trying to hurt Natalie. Valerian must work thru Natalie past hurt which causes her to be skittish as well as deal with his being a vampire. The supporting characters were enjoyable and from previous books in series. However, I did find this book was fast read and was looking for more than quick read. Book can be read as a stand- alone but better in the series. I would recommend this to other people because this author is good and worth getting to know.

**I received this book from NetGalley for an honest review.

#netgalleyarc Not my favorite title in this series, but not the worst. This story had a slow start and finally picked up midway though and was a decent read. The last few books in the series were a little bit more engaging but this was very enjoyable.

I have read all of the Argenaeu books, and this was one of the most enjoyable. My only problem is that I was sad for it to end. I wanted more.

I love anything to do with Lynsay Sands and this book was no different. I loved the characters in this book and how much back story we got for Natalie and Mia.
There are funny parts, romance parts and it’s all mixed in with some mystery. I could not put this book down. When I first heard the golfing part and saw the cover I was skeptical but it flowed so well. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Lynsay Sands’ long running Argeneau series is one I always go back to with pleasure. These books are like a paranormal romance hug - very much the same while also being comforting?? I like that characters flit in and out from each book, and new characters are also introduced. Valerian was a fine hero, very attentive and sweet. Natalie was an independent mortal with a stubborn streak and an adorable daughter. The romance was steamy but not particularly romantic or deep - very sex filled superficial (which in this vampire content is truly just fine with me). Thank you NetGalley and Avon and Harper Voyager for the ARC in exchange for my honest review!

I have always loved the Argeneau family series. They're always a good story and a good time. And it's fun being able to have so many familar faces pop in. Valerian and Natalies' story did not disappoint. It had all the things you like and expect from the Argeneaus', added to the individual struggles and triumphs that are specific to Valerian and Natalie and their story dynamics. I really enjoyed watching (reading? Imagining?) it all play out; with all the laughs, suspense, family drama, and sweet life mate love antics.
