*4.5 stars*

Ilona Andrews fans, rejoice: Ruby Fever does NOT disappoint.

I'll admit I have a huge soft spot for this series. The world building is *chef's kiss*, and Ilona Andrews manages to bring the energy, the excitement, and the romance with each story. It's almost physically impossible for me to dislike a book in the Hidden Legacy series, but even with that caveat and trying to be objective, I still think Ruby Fever is outstanding.

You might have noticed that I rounded down to 4-stars. Yes, that's true, but it's only because I feel like the book was trying to cram a lot into one story. You know when you get to the end of the series (nooooo), and the author is trying to tie up all of the loose ends? That's a bit how I felt here. I think if another book in the series was planned (PLEASE), there wouldn't be so much Big Content in this story.

On the bright side, the story is just an epic adventure with interwoven plotlines and amazing characters. I love each of the side characters in this book and I didn't mind that some of them got a good chunk of page time. Sure, you need to be pretty familiar with this family to be able to follow along, but I think readers of this series won't have any issues. I had to spend a few moments refreshing myself, but I got there.

Romance! Adventure! Action! You literally can't go wrong with these books. I'm hoping that Arabella gets her own offshoot series (and soon) so I can get my fix again. Thank you, Ilona Andrews, for a wild ride.

I love this author. I really had to pace myself with this book so that I didn't finish it in one setting. I am so glad I found this series. It is #6 in the Hidden Legacy series, so highly recommend you start with the first book in the series just to get the full enjoyment of these characters. How can you not love Alessandro?

Thank you to the authors, publisher and NetGalley for my eARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was a great ending to Catalina’s story! It had everything I love about this series, cool magical abilities with complicated origins, lots of magic duels and big battle scenes, tender moments for family bonding, sizzling romance, political intrigue, machinations and lies. It was such a fun ride following Catalina’s growth into her powers and watching the ever expanding Baylor family become a power player in this intricately-woven magical world. I hope the authors continue telling the family’s story and Arabella gets her chance to shine next. I can’t wait for more!

Yes, I am an Ilona Andrews fan girl and I'm proud of it. How can I not be when every book I've read by them has been amazing? I can't even pick a favorite series of theirs because each one is so awesome I've reread them several times over.

But this review is for Ruby Fever, the latest Hidden Legacy novel. I say latest because I'm really, really hoping that although the story arc has been completed for these last books that we will be blessed with more books in the future.

This book deserves all the love. It had everything - plenty of action, humor, more back story regarding the Baylor family and for Alessandro, some tender moments, and some big reveals. Catalina shows just how capable as head of house she is. Victoria/Evil Grandma had some great moments along with Linus and we got some fun history for them. Everyone and everything comes together for a big finish, though some characters have significantly less page time. I'm desperately hoping that some of what transpired at the end means we will see Arabella in her own trilogy.

This book should not be read as stand alone story. There has been way too much buildup to this fantastic finish. But it is no hardship to start at the beginning with Burn For Me. In fact I think I'll be doing a series re-read soon just to experience it all over again.

Gah! Where do I begin with Ruby Fever? At the beginning, of course. This series from Nevada's very first book until this one has utterly captured my attention. The action? Superb. The romance? Off the freaking charts. This is the kind of book that you can try all you want to find something you don't like, and will never find that one thing. It's perfect.

Catalina's life gets turned upside, well, more so than usual, in Ruby Fever. Only with her family, and Alessandro can she dig in those siren heels and take on the challenge head on. Honestly, my favorite part of the entire book was the new realizations about her family. Can I say, holy crap?

Now, I know Ruby Fever will likely be our last Hidden Legency book for awhile or maybe, ever, according to Ilona Andrew's blog post, but I guess with the future so cloudy, that this request wouldn't hurt to ask?

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!

My goodness, what a ride!! Everything one loves in an Andrew's book is here in spades and on steroids! It is break neck action, swoon-worthy romance and heart-warming family relationships, all rolled into one rollicking, fabulous time! It is the sixth book in the Hidden Legacy series and the third, and final, that focuses on Catalina and Alessandro, so it would be extremely hard to read as a stand-alone but worth every single penny and moment if one reads the entire series.

The plot develops in much the same way as previous books, with added twists and turns readers never suspect. This time, however, Catalina is left without the guiding presence of Linus, and must navigate and rule on her own. There are a few more scenes with Nevada and Connor but nothing that would overpower or overwhelm the story at hand, as they are still mostly off-screen and supportive only. In this story, however, Catalina and Alessandro are solid and steady and have worked out how to compliment each other perfectly - both in their personal lives and in their business lives and fighting skills. It's beautiful to behold and a joy to indulge in!

The monsters, are the kind of nightmares and the villain one that is almost impossible to overcome. There is an added character in this installment that proves quite the enigma and one can only hope the series will continue by telling Arabella's story with a bit of Russian intrigue... Although the secondary character of Michael would also be incredibly interesting to explore against the irascible youngest daughter. Oh, what yummy possibilities abound!

Whether a long-time fan of the Andrews or a questing newbie, this book and series is a delight to read and an experience never to forget!

I always love the team of Ilona Andrews, and while this is not filling the Kate+Curran shape in my heart it has helped. I love Nevada's world and even more love the spicy pair of Catalina and Alessandro. Can't wait for more.

I'm not sure what else I can say about Ilona Andrews' Hidden Legacy series that hasn't already been said! I love this series. I love these characters. I love this book. Action packed and full of humor and heart. I really hope the series continues - I need an Arabella book, or three!

Loved, loved loved! Everything came together nicely. I felt like nothing was left undone and I just fell in love with all these characters over, and over. The ending was incredible. The author could easily leave this series here. However, I hope she picks it back up and gives us a few more books because the possibilities are endless. Plus, who doesn't want more in the world you absolutely love?

I highly recommend reading this series in order due to the massive amount of information you learn about all the characters as each book builds the series. There are so many characters to fall in love with, and to fall in hate with. There are spoilers if you read this out of order. Trust me, you want to learn everything in its order. I speak in more detail of my love of these characters in my book one review if you need more incentive.

This is one of the best series I've read!

Ilona Andrews is one of my favorites and I will read everything they write! Ruby Fever is the last book featuring Catalina. We finally get a bit more depth with Catalina and Alessandro's relationship, as well as more details about his family and backstory.
We get to see Catalina really come into her own, when she has to step in as acting Warden, when something happens to Linus Duncan.
Not to mention the twist I did not see coming in regards to the Baylor daughters!

Ruby Fever opens with one of the best prologues I have ever enjoyed. Real estate, magic, murder, and a proposal. Ilona Andrews continues to keep readers on their toes throughout the book, which focuses more on the action than on the relationship between Catriona and Alessandro. They have Arkan to vanquish, and a lot of others in their way as they investigate.
This trilogy has been strong from the beginning, and readers will be thrilled with the final book. Andrews' trademark humour and gift for carrying the reader along on a wild ride where they have no idea where they will wind up next play nicely to all the action and suspense of the story. There are family revelations, political intrigue, and Catriona and Alessandro skillfully handle it all on their way to their HEA.

All of Ilona Andrew’s books have been such great fun! I would deny if ask that I read romances, so shush. Let me delude myself. Though that does say good things about the quality of their writing that I’ve read every book they put out as fast as I could get my hands on them with great enthusiasm. There’s fighting and magic and adventure! Plots between Houses! Surely I didn’t get sucked in by a romance right? Again…? Seriously, if you like like urban fantasy and don’t mind a heavy side order of romance their books are a ton of fun and they’ve got several series at this point. Try one of them if you haven’t already!

I’ve been with this series from the beginning, and this was the last one…I really hope that’s not true! This series-ender was just so much fun! Catalina has grown so much since the beginning of this series, and she’s become quite the accomplished fighter along with the rest of her family. Everything is pretty much wrapped up with a pretty, shiny bow, and the journey to the end is a great one. This book is filled with action, surprises, secrets, just so much of everything, I didn’t want it finish. This was a great conclusion to an amazing series, and I can’t help but hope that there will be another series with these characters again (have I said that before?!?). More, please! Highly recommend. I was provided with a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

I won’t lie, I cried like a baby at the end of the very wild ride Ruby Fever gives us. From the first moment the book grabs your heart and takes it very high and very low. There is real menace in this book that threatens everyone we love in the Hidden Legacy series. The storyline is filled with action and drama and also with humor.

You don’t need to read the previous two books to understand what is happening in Ruby Fever, or really to read all six including the Nevada books and the novella written to transition from Nevada to Catalina. The authors make the story line accessible and interesting to any readers, new and old.

Catalina Baylor has always been protective of her family, her sisters Nevada and Arabella along with her cousin-brothers Leon and Bern. Danger is coming, everyone is in peril, and they must win.

Arkan, the man who killed her fiancé’s father, has now turned his focus to House Baylor and House Rogan and everyone prepares for the war. He does the unthinkable and targets a 10 year old child in Connor’s family, he targets the Warden of Texas and Catalina becomes the Acting Warden. Along the way, secrets are exposed, deals are made and villains are soundly defeated.

As I said, from the first, the novel pulls you in and keeps you on your toes. The husband and wife writing team are so skilled at world building and in making the characters feel more real. But they also show how powerful love can be, not just romantic love, but familial love. The whole family comes together to fight the war against Arkan and his army of primes.

With this likely series end (the authors’ blog indicates that they are not sure if they will return to the Hidden Legacy universe), the authors showcase all the strength and power the family has, how much they care and how love can triumph in the end but also what it can cost to face evil and win. They wrap up the mystery of Caesar and the conspiracy but still leave us wanting more.

I would love if the author team includes other books in the Hidden Legacy series but honestly anything they write is well worth the read.

It has been something like a year and half since I binged my way through the first five books in this series, and I really wish I had read some kind of recap because it took me a little while to get my bearings here. I love the Baylor family and I am going to be pretty bummed if there aren't more books about them. So many family members left to explore!! I definitely enjoyed this, but it was a little heavy on the magical politics, to the extent that the romance was pushed to what felt like a very minor role. The action was great and there were some nice mysterious/detective work type of elements, but the big battle at the end felt a little anticlimactic after so much build up. Still, I was blazing through this just wanting to see what would happen next.

After what was a bit of a flop in Emerald Blaze, Ilona Andrews has come back with a whopper in the final Catalina Baylor book, Ruby Fever. In this sixth book in the Hidden Legacy series, Catalina has finally come fully into her magical, business, and political power. Or so she thought.

Life hits the Baylors with a few more curveballs, the biggest of which is that their mentor, Linus Duncan, has rendered himself comatose to avoid having his brain scrambled. Catalina is now in charge of the whole of Texas' magical community--as well as actively being at war with a mage who seems indestructible. Are the two connected?

The Andrews certainly do enjoy a convoluted tale, but this one comes together pretty well and is stuffed full of their trademark humor and wit. All hands are on deck (and baby Rogan!), plus a few new faces that somehow don't get lost in the shuffle. And though this very satisfactorily rounds out Catalina's trilogy, it definitely leaves a reader panting to start in on Arabella's stories.

‘Ruby Fever’ is the final book in Catalina’s story and it’s an excellent conclusion to her arc. The Hidden Legacy series is one of my favorites. Between the magic system, political maneuvering, family feels and scorching romance, there’s really very little to want for. To say Ilona Andrews stuck the landing on this story arc would be an understatement! It seemed like every old favorite showed up, there was so much development in the Baylor family and side characters but we got plenty of time with our main couple of Catalina and Alessandro. There were plenty of loose ends tied up between the two of them but many more begun for the rest of the family. It seems like the next character arc will be Arabella’s and that so exciting! I can’t say enough about how much I enjoyed this. I got everything I wanted from this finale, even things I didn’t know I wanted! Ilona Andrews is always a sure bet but this series shines exceptionally well.

Thank you to NetGalley and Avon/Harper Voyager for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.

YALL!
Ilona Andrews is the very top of my Buy Right Now author list, so when Ruby Fever popped into my approved ARC box (not an actual box, by the way) I couldn't have been more thrilled; Ruby Fever is the most anticipated book for most urban fantasy fans and let me tell you fans, it lives up to the hype.

As the third in the Catalina arc (and possibly last in the Hidden Legacy world if rumors are true) readers will not be disappointed at all. House Baylor has found its (hopefully) forever home, a LOT of loose ends are tied up (I refuse to give spoilers here, but let's just say, WOW) and, as always, Ilona Andrews shows their expertise in world-building and exciting action scenes and steamy steamyness (within reason - don't let the covers fool you, this series is, above all, about the plot not the steam)

The only problem I have with Ruby Fever is there is a spider, and I'm not really sure what happened to the spider by the end of the book (mainly because I skimmed spider scenes) so I keep imagining her still in the vents or lurking in corners. Ferrets and arcane monsters are much more my speed.

The third book to feature Catalina now has the family living in a large compound since the destruction of warehouse in the previous book. She finds herself having to figure out who attacked Duncan and why certain parties are interested in helping her. I will say this book wraps up threads that have been dangling since the beginning of the series. There is a nice HEA for the book to end on and I really hope we get books focusing on Arabella since she is the last of the sisters that hasn’t found a love.

I will have to say if there is a line that really shines a light on Cornelius and even if he never falls in love again, I would like to see more about him and his powers. There is so much to discover about the various powers that run in the family and in the different houses I so hope we get lots more in this story universe.

Catalina is having a very, very bad time. The Head of the Texas Legislature has been killed in one of the Warden of Texas's properties and he is not answering the phone. As Deputy Warden, she need to step up and solve the murder, find out what happened to the Warden of Texas, fend off Arkan who is gunning for her and her fiance Alessandro, and deal with foreign interference. The more she digs, the more everything is intertwined and personal to her and the whole Baylor family. Plenty of intrigue, action, and family drama to end this arc of the Hidden Legacy series. It will be interesting to see what the author will throw out in Arabella's path to happiness!

Thanks Netgalley for the opportunity to read this title!
